  1. Man, you really are against conception of any kind on this show be the participants married or not! You did your block over Ben and Carly, etc. But you are right about Paul being scum down the track.
  2. Yeah, Sal was the only cast member out of the 17 regulars NOT to be present in the season finale!
  3. Alf supposedly was left back a year with Barbara. DAMN YOU WRITERS AND YOUR INCONSISTENCIES! >_<
  4. Small world eh? Anyhow, caught up to 1375. Skipped parts of this week as I saw some of the clips on YT. Having Shane work in the cop shop wasn't the brightest idea but it did provided some comedy with the hose situation! The whole Hale thing is kind of creepy given what happens with him and Shane down the track. Fact: Hale at this point is the longest recurring guest (not counting Christopher and Duncan). We already knew about the suspected Arson and this is a good setup for the next season. I'm glad Don finally let go and extended his hand to Adam. Alf and Don's costumes were probably the most befitting of them as was Tug's. Foxiest of the night go to Angel and Sarah, Big fat thumbs down for Luke (looked like a plonker), wasn't too keen on Roxy and James'. Nick's was probably the funniest. It's hard to keep a straight face with him telling off Shane dressed like that. LOL at Alf's wardrobe malfunction. Michael's cracks about the jacket were totally uncalled for! This coming from a man who dressed as a damn hippy for the costume party! The only thing wrong with it, is it didn't go with that bright purplish shirt of Damo's. Things are about to get hot and steamy up in the charger... or will they? Glad they improved the YCPS set as time went on, it just looks so behind the times. I know Summer Bay is a small town but come on. Well, it's even smaller these days as Yabbie Creek seems to be within walking distance, as back then people would have to drive/catch the bus. Luke was right to be suss about James moving in, I mean, He could have butchered him, Tug and Roxy in their sleep for all they knew! but this isn't the post-2004 show. Their bathroom morning meeting was a deliberate beefcake moment for the female contingent. If Roy is supposedly on the wagon, lodging above a pub isn't the brightest idea, luckily he moved.
  5. Yes, Yes He does. My question; does anyone remember the episode where Lance mentions someone has an "Inferior Complexity"?
  6. Works perfectly fine here!
  7. Force of habit, I guess.
  8. Roy isn't evil this time round though his stupidity . I'm waiting for the weekend before I drop my big annual review in the topic laid out. Interesting Red, it's almost like Damian's taking a step backwards but difference is Shane came good in the end.
  9. At least it wasn't Argument/ Angry Fight Guitar chord #1! (The kind that came out when Alf turfed Vicki out of his store after that cow lied about Grant molesting her back in 1990). That said, I could listen to a YT playlist of Perjanik's music. Some people saw Bobby's death as the true end of the Early Years.
  10. Maybe both grew up off-screen and let's leave it at that. Time can change feelings.
  11. Alf was in Fiji.
  12. Saw up to 1370. Nathan's an idiot, what's new but Damo is falling further under his spell. Them two caning it on Yabbie Creek Road was kind of funny (Observation: I've noticed that Road area is shaped like a "Y") Roy seems genuine but we know how THAT turns out. The Mentalist is in Summer Bay. Probably cast for eye-candy and the fact E street had been cancelled not long before and Simon Baker was a top-drawer player on that show. Always thought his last name was Healy, not Hudson but now I know different. Irene moving into that shack with Adam and Nathan was inevitable. A House with Three Parents can't really work. Doom Piano got a workout over at Don's in Nick v Shane and Don v Angel. What is it with his house and the sinister music?! I remember Sam burning the mask.
  13. Sarah and Tug were in the same proximity off-screen (Old Man Thompson's farm) so it was believable.
  14. Prison can change a guy. Literally in this sense.
  15. Difference was Luke grabbing the student was off school property (NOT excusing it but kind of Understanding WHY he did it, scene itself was cut out of UK broadcasts) I'm sti;; going with the plastic surgeon Theory! but Russell Kiefel is obviously clearly younger than Mervyn Drake. And yes, I see the cone of stupidity cooked up by Nathan which has claimed several victims.
  16. Caught up to 1365. Ten eps in one week I guess My Source is spoiling us! I'm glad Adam is maintaining some normality instead of constantly feeling sorry for himself, that said, I mentioned he's becoming a spare part like Nick, Fin and Sal. I'm just glad everyone doesn't see him as the devil anymore, although Don probably wouldn't spit on him if he caught on fire (That may change soon). Nathan/Luke is one of the more memorable things from his time on the show. He's such a little wind-up merchant isn't he? Luke basically repeated himself about being there when Nathan hangs himself. Funny what you remember from when you're 9/10! It was evident that bucket stunt was deliberate. Talking of Nathan, Don should have ordered him to put on a shirt but the Producers probably insisted as Dixon was some supposedly some teen heart-throb (try to contain your laughter people) The Bowls stuff was fun. The look on Don's face when Shane donated the other half of that dosh (what was left of it anyway) = Priceless. Thought Flathead was gonna cry. And yes, I wanted to slap Angel for sweet-talking Shane into letting Spud go! Had Shane not been home, he probably would have raped her or at the very least attempted it (And this is in a time when the show wasn't gangster-ridden). And the FALSE information she provided to the cops really took the biscuit. The Fancy-Dress party... Ooh, We know what's coming! Can hardly wait. Interesting delving into the Roberts' past. Just annoyed at Irene's blindness. Roy's back in town like a bad stink, looking surprisingly younger than when he went into the joint! Didn't know Aussie prisons had a plastic surgeon on staff back then!
  17. LOL! Saw upto 1360. Holy cow; Only three weeks of 1993 left to show on 7Two! Anyhoo: I remembered the Luke/Nathan exchange clear as day. "Take as much rope as you like, I'll be there when you hang yourself". That was a classic line. 1-nil to Luke, I think based on that scene where Nathan is like "Oh crap, I'm sussed" after he leaves the room. Bowls Club stuff was kind of funny, typical Early Years storyline. That's the kind of story would have got if they'd have kept Floss or Neville around a year or two later. Adam's basically on borrowed time here despite still being in the credits, He's either hanging with Nathan, spotting Shane or Nick on weights, is Tug's bitching board (whenever Luke isn't around). Luke's old feelings rising to the surface... It's not gonna end well. The Spud stuff brought back memories too. After enough hints, We know where the Sam thing is going.... Nathan Roberts and Mortimer Mouse, separated at birth? You decide! Suprrised they didn't say to David Dixon "Dave, chew on this block of cheese between scenes!"
  18. That's what I thought. First go around and all. Prison's supposed to put YEARS on a man, not the other way round! You can buy Bert King's 1995-97 appearance being different from his 1988 one (Granted, he is a fair bit older than Roy) but this is something else. I'm guessing Papa O'Neill had a good plastic surgeon inside!
  19. I think this is Angel's second major WTF moment for this year, the first being using Shane as bait for Tug in the whole Sarah business. *irritated that this week's eps are... inaccessible to him at present* I remember the story though.
  20. True about Sarah not liking "Nice" guys. Spotter and Colin weren't bad blokes, It's just Tug scared the former out of town and Sarah got super self-concious about wearing a bikini around the latter. Don't think she and Shane would have worked, Not with Tug and Angel in the picture anyway.
  21. Keep forgetting Ray was in the early going of prisoner. If only Alf could dish out some Gunishment to some of the scumbags that have come through the bay, eh?
  22. Saw all of this week's. Nathan nobbled Tug good style. And if he hadn't Tug'd probably be fired for Twatting Shane one on the nose for goading him for like the thousandth time. The scene in the diner with both Luke and Irene approaching Don reminded me of just about any wrestling feud where Managers/Advocates try to secure title shots for their charges. It's official, Nick and Luke do NOT have lives. I remembered the Shane/Angel ballet 4-on-2 attempted Mugging storyline and it's not over... Back to Nathan, Most of everyone's forgiven you Adam, why hang out with a confirmed lowlife, just because he lives with you? Seeds of Sam moving home once again are sewn. Roxy free-week this week. Loved Irene's shove on "Bazza". We got another Damo/Sarah ship tease even if it was for one ep. The Official Summer Bay Spare parts club roll call: Nick! Luke! Adam! Sally! Finlay! Mugging aside, that Sydney backdrop looked beautiful. Ironically, Summer Bay/Yabbie Creek is now 20x more dangerous than The City EVER could be! The Sinister Piano must have got a good workout that week.
  23. I found it funny how Craig Ball and David Dixon are poles apart but still kept Nathan Scuzzy as hell on each portrayal, though he did reform in 2002.
  24. ^ True though it did stretch credibility when she had Alf
  25. Caught up to 1350. Nathan looks like he could struggle to beat up Sam let alone Damo from the stories we heard about him. The teeth man, the producer should have said "Dave, we'll give you an advance to get them fixed". He's like 1988-89 Revhead only a bit more annoying without a gang. I remember when the eps during his stint aired, David Dixon was trying to plug his music career in the UK and did the talk show circuit (After Five, etc). And Old H&A fan, we all know how far Nathan and Sarah get (most of us who watched first time round) ... so cool down! . Angel looked kind of hot in that outfit, Shane could have at least put on a smart-casual shirt! Enjoyed the Adam/Luke/Nick stuff. Adam finally coming to terms with the whole Bobby thing. Morag hits the bricks and isn't seen again until . Kind of relieved because Ailsa was getting annoying. It was easy to back her against Karen (who came back worse than when she went into jail) but not against Morag. Stats section: Appearence IMDB data (not the most reliable but accurate enough for most appearances this far into the season, it's the later eps that are a bit of a mess on that site) 1. Shane Parrish 2. Damian Roberts 3. Donald Fisher 4. Michael Ross 5. Tug O'Neale
