  1. As I previously said, on YT, if 1222 didn't get the AFI award that year, 1230 would have.
  2. Yep, it's a pre-Dan Baker Tim "Cambell". They tried pushing Nick onto Imgoen, but she weren't havin' none of it! Back to the PG. At the start of every ep with the recap, it is noticable, right next to the closed caption ident. Understandable as that Hood gave Angel a fair whack (I think they may have blurred or sped it up or cut a bit) and some language (the kind we didn't really hear again until the mid-2000s)
  3. Has anyone else noticed that the PG rating is kicking in with the 1993 eps?
  4. ^ Flames abound, I'm guessing.
  5. Before the Musical, at least
  6. Yeah, somebody is uploading them now but missed out the previous week and 1198
  7. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Some may say THAT'S his karma.
  8. I'm aware but it's frustrating when some numpty ruins it for the rest of us.
  9. I reckon some spiteful snitch got in there
  10. Fin's storyline was basically kicked aside for Shane/Damo/Don and Tug/Sarah. I'm sure it will resurface in the next few chunk of eps.
  11. Greg can take a flying leap. He's just been such a major D-Bag this last week or so.
  12. ^ I suspect they recycled the sound effect! Anyway, I'm aware of the mislabelling. Summing up this week; Funny in parts (Don/Shane/Damo), The Fin story obviously the most dramatic thing isn't overshadowing the rest of the show. Bobby's absence seems somewhat curious. Maybe Nicolle needed a break? I see where the Sal/Damo thing is going... I vividly remember the story itself.
  13. Damo's Don impression was brilliant.
  14. As much as Karen got on my nerves, I nearly PMSL at her singing "Another One Bites the Dust" when she "accidentally" knocked Ailsa's vase down and Ailsa's reaction was brilliant, I was expecting another slap (Not that Karen *wouldn't* have deserved it) ala the one she gave her in '91!
  15. or some serious... Wait, this is a *Family* Forum! It's infuriating but This is only a plot device to facilitate It's like they bought her back as an intentionally totally unsympathetic character.
  16. Yeah, it is bizzare. Karen killed Bobby's cousin after all!
  17. Fin becomes basically a spare part this year apart from one or two stories. However, in 1994 she does get one last hurrah as a main character.
  18. They producers probably had something in place but I guess Rebekah finished filming ahead of Les leaving/Belinda returning. It would have been more powerful if Soph and Karen had a walk on the beach and talked the whole thing through but timing screwed them.
  19. ^ It's a pet name like buggerluigs, or Girlie (for any given female under 30 she encounters) I see 1993 as a whole new era even before Blake leaves and Angel rocks up. It's a brighter sunnier look and the action moves at a slightly faster pace. We know what kind of stamp Des Monaghan left and what stamp Andrew Howie will put on the next two seasons.
  20. ^ New credits, New era. I like them.
  21. Some people may have forgotten, okay. Sorry if it seems spoilerish, I'll be more mindful in future.
  22. It was actually 5, according to dialogue. He must have either behaved or spent a great deal of time on remand before sentencing. Alf went to see his folks in 1995 after running over Angel. And c.2002. Morag mentioned their father Gordon had died of Alzheimers (or at least alluded to it) during Alf's brain tumour/Ailsa ghost story arc. Gordon was also mentioned by Colleen, wishing he was here and Morag saying he'd be about 90 if still alive. And does anyone else find it funny how Shane waxing his board in the titles segways into Luke rubbing suntan cream on Roxy?
  23. In all fairness, Dodge had no clue Philip was home (not excusing what he did for one second).
  24. Saw all of this week on Youtube a good while ago. Thompson really is an ogre, isn't he? And Irene smoking near the laundry, or trying to wasn't the brightest of moves!
  25. Diff characters but I think Jeff Truman deliberately portrayed them similarly.
