  1. Back to Soph, she also tops the list in '91 with only Bobby even close to her.
  2. Irene did have that relapse in 2009 but it was part of a crappy year to be honest (Overuse of Martha)
  3. LOL @ 1135
  4. Basically, they're worried in case Blake gets Fin up the pole ala Sophie. No danger of that as Blake buggers off in a matter of weeks! And in more recent (this week, UK) Alf did his block over Maddie/Josh Barrett (for those of us that bother with the current product), so not too much has changed!
  5. Bear in mind Debra was pregnant for reals in the middle of a demanding story that required a lot of emotions and I think her real=life weariness comes out in scenes. And it was Michael that was willing to sling Fin out over the boy issue. John Adam was clearly cast for looks, he's not the worst actor but I don't recall *him* being up for a Logie in 1994! Oh come on, That's a bit extreme about Luke. I actually found the "Oi! Cut that out immediately!" and "Have you got a permit for that?!" and the "If I hear one more squawk outta that thing..." kind of funny. In Michael's defence, Luke's comments about 14yo girls really *didn't* help his case.
  6. Only Alf comes second this year. Based on IMDB stats and we can take away credit-onlys.
  7. According to data, Sophie appeared in the most episodes this year.
  8. I'm back to run my mouth about this Season. It has a lot of resonance as I was like 9 around the time it went out in the UK and remember a helluva of the season. Especially the Shane/Tug grudge that culminated in the June 7th Musical incident. The retains the charm of the early years but it feels like they're hitting the reset button very soon, Blake and Soph are on borrowed time. Luke getting under Alf's skin was brilliant however (using the sax as a weapon) after the Bill storyline the character starts to lose momentum a bit...
  9. Soph did my head in and all this week. Bobby and Greg to a lesser extent. Loved Irene/Fin/Damian. There's a payoff coming and it will be SWEEET! The series is entering its first millenium...
  10. ^ Let's not forget, she willingly surrendered herself to David. Also, The week of 986-90 has been pretty great. Jacquy does a good job as complete alkie bitch Irene and the scenes with Damo fleeing have been brilliant. The Surf club stuff is a nice little subplot that basically foreshadows the revamp it will get this season when the Rosses get more involved. Was laughing at the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang-esque car stunt and Alf mentioning "The Black and White Minstrel Show" (Which the BBC will NEVER live down to this day). I'm glad H&A '92 is slowly returning to somewhat comedic subplots after Blake/Meg dominated for like 6-8wks.
  11. I'm actually rooting for Ryan. He livens up Nick and Lucinda, who let's face it, at best are a SUPER-boring couple.
  12. 1992 Two-faced Bastard Ryan has more going for him than 1991 one-dimensional limp noodle Ryan.
  13. ^ Think it's left open to interpretation. Having owned 975 and 976 and watched a ton of times, I skipped to 977 on youtube. The Hot Dog stuff was a good way to break up the misery. Corny but it worked and H&A was riding pretty high at the time and could get away with it!
  14. Some people are closer to certain relatives more than others. Given Barbara lived in the city and Alan and Rebecca were farmed out to boarding school, I doubt they came to the Bay that often.
  15. I sometimes wonder if you're a real-life Alf, Old H&A Fan. You seem to catch alight as quick as he does sometimes!
  16. No, Red, I perfectly remember 1992-98 Pippa. I'm one of a handful of people that does.
  17. She also got her claws into Stevo and lied her ass off about Don sexually harassing her.
  18. At least Ryan on this visit will be more fun to watch and a lot less plot-devicey. Yeah, Michael did have his "Fuhrer" moments...
  19. True. David did ask Soph if she was feeling "brave" when they were alone at Don's. I think we can all guess what happen next.
  20. Our main source for TEY has gone on holiday (he is entitled to) but we get 10 eps when he does return!
  21. IMO, The second outfit Soph wore that was terrible, even for 1992. Yes, the first glaringly pointed out her condition but at least it somewhat suited her. Outfit 2 was like she got dressed without hitting the light switch.
  22. That evil git as you called him was played by Miles, (Josh Quang Tart) as I wrote in my last post. So I was talking about 1992 It's more Bobby than Maz. Maz just suffers from foot-in-mouth disease. And the debut of Sophie's maternity school dress which wasn't bad considering, at least it's somewhat close to the school colours!
  23. True. Sam remained in the show over the span of a decade. He must have been taking boomerang lessons from Damian in 1995!
  24. Do Bobby and Greg make up before she dies? I liked Michael's chat with Sophie. His promise to step up and give her his full support from now on was heartfelt and very touching, and something that will continue to be focussed on, most notably when Michael helps Sophie give birth. Pippa wanting to keep Michael away from Sophie while she rests was reminiscent of her wanting to keep Sally away after she found out about David's death. In both cases she was wrong. It is also reminiscent of Pippa trying to keep Michael away from Sally after she returns from running away in 1995, which is a major factor in their marraige breakdown - that Pippa overrides all Michael's decisions in the family. The seeds of this are already starting to show. Julia/Meg/Blake storyline is going ahead nicely. Julia is asking a lot of Alf, getting him to tell Blake to stay away but without explaining to Blake the reasons why. It is little wonder Blake doesn't understand. I wouldn't. Julia comes across as very harsh and protective, but then there's always a heartbreaking reason behind it (like the conversation where she said Meg could never have a proper relationship because it wouldn't be fair on Blake). It's just a very sad situation all round. Thanks. Why does Greg abandon Sam? And did they ever see each other again? I seem to recall Greg coming back very briefly around 2000 or so?: Shortly after Bobby's death he takes off up North, and is not heard from for like 7 years. Comes back for three eps, Stuffs Sam around, leaves again after Sam decides to stay in the Bay instead of going with him.
  25. Personally, I see 1993 as the second time H&A hit the reset button, having done so three years earlier.
