I honestly thought he was gonna start blubbering when he read the journal but that would be too Un-Fisher-like... (Although in upcoming eps, he may shed more than a few tears).

It kind of feels like we're in the year of the stodgy parental figures.Don has suddenly decided to make Angel homeless for the heinous crime of having a boyfriend (his justification that she lied to him doesn't really hold water, since Shane and Angel tried to be upfront about it in the first place and he still threatened to kick her out):The fact that the other adults, bar Nick, seem fine with that is slightly worrying. And Pippa comes down hard on Sally for...nothing at all, really.Sure, Sally's taking advice from all the wrong people, and Fin's doing a good big sister act in trying to talk some sense into her, but all Pippa's seen is her dying her hair black.Which becomes slightly hilarious in hindsight when you recall Sally dyes her hair black around 2002 and no-one bats an eyelid. Well, a lot changes between 14 and 23.

Chafing? Restrictive? There's dirty jokes to be made out of those words in but I won't as this is a FAMILY forum... Anyhooo... Greg's quick decline reminded me of one of those early Simpsons eps where Homer is kicked out for a marital error! Tug was always on Team Bobby as she went to bat for him.

They'd have been the best of pals what with Irene fighting Damo's corner with a "Where do you get off..." speech? and Laura sympathizing about Mud leaving Irene High and dry with 3 kids.
-
I don't think Ryan (Sam) wanted to leave at that point. He did fit in with Pippa's bunch to a degree but he sort of lost ground when or just before Pip left town.

Was Debbie's last name confirmed as Langford?
-
More confirmation of Fin being a glorified extra, she had NO lines whatsoever in ep 1282!
-
At least characterization was still relatively consistent at this point.

Let's be honest, Red. Michelle is basically a $1 store Narelle clone but without the charm. And while I'm not judgemental, Smoking when it's being blown onto you is pretty blech. Bobby could have been better written, 2yrs ago she probably would have INSISTED Greg leave instead of taking Sam with her Don's had this happened. The Confirmed 1993 spare parts club: Adam, Nick and Fin.
-
I don't think Craig Beamer is mentally disabled.
-
I forgot about the baby thing too. Guess Shane and Angel overshadowed it (like they will do everything for the next 2.5 years).
-
I wouldn't estimate Don's current place having more than 5 rooms, presumably Bobby and Sam are sharing.

Donna Bishop/Rob Storey (1994-1995)
CaptainHulk replied to Homeandawayfan.'s topic in Character/Actor Discussion
He still had an off-screen presence as late as 1999, The writers still had him live in town just not appear. -
Kicking Greg out on his arse would be justified but withholding his right to see Sam is another thing (Yes Greg basically ditched him at every turn but he's still his son, FFS).
-
So basically we're all not on "Team Greg", but more Team "Bobby's Being an Unreasonable Cow"?
-
Not saying that but take gender out of the equation, anyone else would have locked the door regardless! However, Given how Shane/Angel plays out... I'm starting to suspect an ulterior motive!

Still say what Angel pulled was a CBM (Complete Bitch Move) by getting Tug worked up about a non-existant Shane/Sarah. Granted, Shane deserved a kicking a few weeks ago despite being justified in his revenge plans but this was just spiteful. Back to Tug, it is pretty hard to root for him with all his bully-boy tactics by trying to monster Spotter and Alan (the latter, who rightfully made him eat sand) off of Sarah. And I'd hardly call Bobby in 1988 (before she moved into the house) exiled in that caravan, It was to fit in with her "I don't need nobody" persona and it's only natural she would have turned to Ailsa in those times as she was practically her only friend prior (save for the McPhees, Neville mainly). John Adam was good in those scenes and he and Craig Beamer worked a believable chemistry. Will Miss Fiona, nicest bit of guest eye candy over 25! I also thought Laura would be the one to find Bill, however I liked how Bill was found. I feel for Bobby. Knowing what's coming up soon, I loath Greg even more. And do Tug and Shane eventually become friends? Yes, Tug and Sarah eventually become good friends. Wouldn't say good friends per se but there's MUCH less venom by 1994. And for the Angel/Shower thing, Most people sharing a house with at least 3 members of the opposite sex would keep the bathroom door locked, FFS!

Maybe they had wicked BO or didn't brush/floss that day and the director advised them not to stand so close. I still see it as more Luke's storyline and Fin being the device. (i.e. )

^ Other than date Carly, serve shakes in the diner, clown around with Adam, nothing really!
-
I like how in '94 they slowly built up a new teen gang with Jack, followed by Selina then Shannon and Curtis! Next full time character to join will be Irene when she returns later in the year but she doesn't get star billing until 1994.

Really?I think Vanessa's Pippa was exactly like this when Tom died. Both times.(When she thought he was dead and when he actually was.)She's not very likable at the moment (although to be fair it's only been the last couple of episodes, prior to that she was coping quite well), but I think it's entirely consistent with the way she's been portrayed since 1988. It is curious that she and Michael have almost been flipped round over the course of the last year in that at times he's the one who has the warmer relationship with the kids. I think Shane and Angel is very definitely in the region of Belligerent Sexual Tension at this point. We've had Shane suddenly decide that he does like her, I'm surprised it's come this early given that I seem to remember The really interesting thing was Angel's behaviour.I expected her to just scoff at Shane's claim that he collects money for charity, but she was so quick to believe it that I can only assume that she wanted it to be true, that despite her misandristic diatribe to Sarah there are some feelings in there and she does want him to be more than an arrogant neanderthal. It does seem to have come slightly out of nowhere though, especially since up to this point it almost seemed like Damian was the one in love with her. Sadly, again it seems that Angel and Sarah only label Damian as the better of the three boys because they don't fancy him. Fin is mostly reduced to serving at the Diner and stuff at home but in a sense that's enough, she's got the older sibling relationship with Damian and Sally. She does get a couple of storylines this year.Well, one anyway.Imogen:She came, she was nasty, she left.I'm sure Roxy will forget about her again soon enough. Fun historical sidebar:It was probably different in Australia, but in the UK the episode where Tug breaks the window while trying to get Sarah's attention was shown on the same day as an episode of Neighbours where someone (Rick Alessi, I think) did the same thing.I watched the two episodes back to back and there was this almost identical scene in them. Well, we were CHRONICALLY behind with Neighbours at that point (A Year), so that would have been likely. I don't think we fully caught up with Home and Away at a close range until about 2000 where we were only a week behind!
-
Sort of but it was the Angel/Sarah tag team that the producers were invested in.
-
Yeah, for the rest of this year she is essentially a spare part! It's like they couldn't be bothered to invent a friend or two for her on this second go-round of Year 12.
-
Clash of personalities. He sees her as an "Up-herself slag" and she sees him as an "Insensitive Meathead" (using their actual words). Eh, we all know how it turns out in the end...

I loved the Twilight Zone refernce Shane came up with in food tech and even did the theme song. The Penalty miss... That was hilarious. Poor Damian. And "Well, Pickle Me Grandma" was one of the best never-heard-before Alf expressions for that week!
