Oh, I had to do another post otherwise I couldn't see what you'd written before me... Yes, it was good how it worked out with Aden/Nicole being certain as opposed to Casey/Romeo not being certain. I must admit I changed the whole last few chapters A LOT and it was quite hard to get it to all work out like that. I think (in this story) Romeo is totally fed up with people/women fussing over him and making relationships into hard work and he just wants to relax a bit and be casual. And of course Casey wants someone to save him from the dead end of the River Boys life. I think he might be using Romeo a little, he definitely feels like he has to repay him in some way (not to go into too many details!) Re: Mink. It was a toss up (so to speak) between her or Jill coming back. I thought: who would Romeo LEAST like to get into a conversation with when he's sneaking off home for some Caseylove? His sister or his mum of course! Then I thought Mink would be better as she stirred up Xavier, Dex and April as well Re: Aden. He mentioned that it must suit Nicole to have a baby, so is he thinking....? Re: Nicole/Romeo. He thinks of her as more of a sister than Mink, doesn't he? They have a nice relationship, I'm glad the writers didn't make them into a couple on the actual show. As well as all the scenes I mentioned that I liked writing, of course I enjoyed writing the scenes too, can't imagine why Okay I've run out of thoughts now

Firstly, thanks to Jarliefanever, for your comments, its nice to get a new reader who likes the story Oh Jen! Thanks for your lovely long post. I am being VERY naughty and replying even though I'm supposed to be getting my daughter ready for school.... You really 'got' the ending, and I must say your feedback earlier this week really helped me. I get the idea Casey likes Romeo much more but Romeo made it pretty clear he doesn't want to get bogged down in yet another soul searching, angsty relationship like that with Indy and/or Ruby. I never do nice neat endings, I like ambiguity. Anyway, have to do the school run, I'll be back to carry on this post as I've got more to say, but thanks in the meantime :D Oh, just got your PM too, will comment on that later. I've got a busy but very nice day ahead of me.....!!

You see, Red, you do influence me I'm really glad you enjoyed it, I hoped you and others would. Nicole deserves a happy ending anyway. Yes, sorry about Mink. I just used her cruelly as a device to get Romeo into the cupboard cos he didn't want to see her just at that moment- well, you wouldn't want to see your annoying sister in that situation, would you? I thought about adding a bit about her but as you say I wanted to focus on Nicole/Aden and of course Casey/Romeo I am a temperamental artiste, dahling, I do what I want!

Well 4990 (the one I was looking for) is the one where Romeo pretends to be Xavier's girlfriend so he can practise splitting up with her, they end up having a 'lover's tiff' and John Palmer walks in and thinks its for real I think it is only a few before that where Aden rushes over to Liam's to save Romeo.

Thank you Carina What a lovely long message. I hoped you'd like Aden coming back. I was originally going to have Alf coming back on his own and being shocked at the scene of the christening fight and Romeo/Casey but when I found out what I did about Nicole, I thought she deserved Aden. I also watched a few old episodes with Nic/Aden in yesterday when I was looking for Romeo/Xavier, but it was so lovely to see Nic with Aden again, they were a good pair. I also remembered that Aden more or less saved Romeo's life that time when he was drugged at Liam's party, so that is a double reason for Aden to be the hero returning. I am just off out now, so I just thought I'd reply quickly to you. Thanks again, I think you deserve a medal for the amount of commenting you do

Oh, no, I don't mind what you do, its alright, its your story. (But secretly glad Justin isn't gay cos then I can kidnap him ) It was actually the wise sage Red Ranger who pointed out to me that you can redeem the characters in your fanfics. I said in the Latest Episode thread that on my search for the legendary episode 4990, I watched some old episodes with Romeo in and I was shocked at how funny, smiley and nice he used to be rather than the boring idiot he's become, they've ruined him. So I tried to redeem him in my fic. Sorry, talking about my own fic in your thread (slap wrist!). Keep on with Mirror of Love, its intriguing

Aw thanks you two Its hard not to cry myself, what a big girl's blouse I am (that phrase might need some explaining to the non British ) It was a flash of inspiration to bring Aden back, I nearly fell in love with him myself, as he's grown up now. I am so gutted that Nicole And I had to have Casey and Romeo walking off into the sunset, didn't I

I’ve loved writing this story . I’ve had such a laugh, and feel really sad now it’s all over . Hopefully it’ll live on forever in the dusty archives of BTTB. The bits I liked writing best were: Romeo and Nicole’s 'brother sister' chat after she came home from hospital; Romeo and Xavier discussing Romeo’s new status outside the church; Romeo implying Heath is secretly in love with him Talk about psyching out Heath, it worked like a dream didn't it! The way Casey bosses Romeo around and tells him what to do all the time. Romeo needs someone who does that, otherwise he’d never do anything.... I'm glad BTTB-ers have enjoyed my story, I have a feeling there will be a lot of stories in future about Casey Braxton...!

Thanks Zetti, Jen and Jarliefan I am just tinkering with the final pieces of the jigsaw. I'm not sure who will think what about the ending, but I will post it later today when I feel strong enough not to cry (dear oh dear, I'm a temperamental artiste, I think I've got too involved in this story!) I think Ruby is probably going to pastures new where she can work her way through the River Boys one by one, or whatever. Not that I dislike her at all Jen, I'd love to know who you think is returning, you've intrigued me with your 'potential ex boyfriend' but I suppose you'll tell me afterwards. Yes, Carina, I feel really sad its over so soon too. I wish I'd strung it out over a few more weeks but real life is calling... And my stories are as long as they are, they decide when to end really I hope no one's expecting a definitive neatly tied up ending. I don't do those, but it will be in sympathy with the rest of the story i.e. they won't all die (or will they dun dun DUR) Yes, Red, I kind of thought 'poor Ruby, she's going off with Heath' But I also thought 'mm, she's going off with Heath'

Aw... that is sweet I can just imagine Nic having a baby for these two Carina's right, the relationships between them all were good, espeically Nic and Brittany. So you read the line in my fic about Indi not imagining that Geoff and Aden would ever get it on? That line just kind of happened, so I went with it. I'm devastated that I'll edit that spoiler out if you want me to, just had to say it

Thanks Jen. Glad you got the innuendoes Didn't want to be too obvious. Yes, poor old Brodie. He's the only River Boy I know the name of, so I used him. But it could have happened. I think Brodie is a disaster waiting to happen. You've got the right idea about what I think Casey's life and emotions are like, that's how I think he ticks. You just have to see the unconfident way he walks to know what he's like.

Thanks Red and Zetti Yes, Jen and I decided that Casey has probably had all kinds of abuse in the past, living in that mad house. No wonder he flips out so often. I've now got two more chapters to post, not one, as I had to divide the last chapter into two, due to developments
