Anyway, I UBER liked ………… When the room is dark and Liam is sleeping soundly on the couch in the next room, and Romeo blinks blearily at the ceiling, is when he feels death tickling at the corners, enticing him. There's a large tree outside, the trunk wide and round, branches sturdy, twining upward and around itself, blocking out a lot of the sunlight. It must have been there before the doctor's office was built; much smaller back then, and no one probably considered how much difference a decade could make. How much bigger and more expansive it would become with time. It would be impossible to remove now, its roots too deep, too far beneath the surface to be able to pull out easily. It would leave behind a giant hole too big to fill. It's impossible to win a war against yourself, you can only minimise the damage. "Isn't it all kind of pointless though?" Romeo wonders aloud. and Sasha is having a sleep over with Rosie so it's just you and me." [for the mere mention of 2 of my fave recent charecters] "I keep thinking that one day I'll get up and I won't think about him. Or it. Was it something that I did?" And then he moves, and it’s like his entire body ceases in protest. It might be a dream, please don't be a dream. Romeo opens his eyes again, stares up at Indi and for a moment its like things are back to the way they were before. "It's only going to get harder." "I know," she replies honestly, "I know."

Curious out why Heath reacted to Spencer’s news ……and Bianca’s line “what do you want to know?” …..but I guess there are no doubt many things that Bianca [Charlie’s bestie] knows bout Charlie tat Ruby doesn’t !!! Also, MUCHLY liked ……….. “We’ve never talked about it either.Heath and me.Don’t get me wrong, I love Heath but…it feels like I’ve just become a part of his life, moving in with his family, looking after his children.What happened to my life?When’s that going to happen?Is this it?” Ruby grimaced at the question.“Yeah, I’m not that much of a skank.” I wish Charlie was here.” “So do I sometimes,”Bianca agreed,“And I think that, once she’d got over the shock of being a grandma and finished berating you, she’d have been pleased for you.” Ruby nodded.“Guess I’m going to have to tell this one lots of stories about her.” “Guess you are. “No!”Rosie protested in horror,“I’m not easy!”She paused, looking confused.“Do you have to be easy to sleep with someone on the first date?” Sasha flushed.“Depends on the circumstances.” Maddy came to her rescue.“So what did happen?” Rosie smiled awkwardly.“He kissed me.More than once.And it was real ‘oh my god’, butterflies in the tummy job.And I do really really want to go further with him some time.”

Sarah, as a play on words of a certain hit drama about the whole zombie thing, how about "SURFING DEAD" ????

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo glad Rubes changed her mind ….curiuos bout April’s reaction I really liked …… Across the passage, April looked on with mild reproach as Heath returned to the house, holding up the giraffe.“You left that there on purpose, didn’t you?”she predicted. Heath shrugged.“Well, need to give little brother a shock now and then.”He tossed the giraffe onto the sofa and locked the door. “Good.”He kissed her and lowered her onto the table.“Because I think there’s still a few spots we haven’t christened.” “They should get some pictures,”he decided. Ruby had been looking down at her feet but roused herself at the comment.“What of?” “Well, babies would be kind of inappropriate.Safe sex advice would be rubbing it in.Maybe a nice landscape.Sunset.” Ruby smiled slightly.“Movie posters?” Dexter smiled back.“Now we’re talking.” Ruby’s smile disappeared as abruptly as it had appeared.“You know this isn’t to do with you?You’d be a great dad.It’s me.I’m the screw up.” But Rosie just sagged.“I’m one of these obsessed mums who can’t see a life outside their child and goes around showing complete strangers baby photos.I’m, like, social death or something.” “I think it’s good,”Spencer attempted,“It shows you care about her.” Rosie sighed.“I do.I really do.She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.And if that means I have to be desperate and dateless for the rest of my life, or at least until she leaves high school, that’s how it has to be.”

LOOVED that !!!!!! Jen, I must admit that I was skeptical about reading this [because of the characters involved - i’m sooooo NOT an Indi fan], but I just KNEW that your writing style etc would be worth it!!!!!!! The whole “I cheated” idea was GREAT …..as was the obligatory reference to Ruby in such matters, but it’s passages like this that I knew were TOTALLY why I chose t read this ….. His muscles clench, head feels dizzy, and all he can do is grip the side of the bowl and squeeze shut his eyes. Eventually, Romeo coughs, reaches up to push the button to flush, before his knees give out and he collapses to the floor. The tiles are cool under his fingers, the palm of his hand, and he curls in on himself, resting his cheek on top of his arm, bringing his knees to his chest and closing his eyes. It's better this way, Romeo tries to tell himself. It's better for Indi not to see him like this. That he'd rather have her think he cheated on her, do something completely unforgivable and hate him, than her to have to go through this with him. She doesn't deserve that. It's the most selfless thing he could think of. Because he loves her.

Heath smiled.“And you know what?Now we have this whole house to ourselves.”He tilted April’s head and kissed her. They were interrupted by a whine of protest.Domina was sitting on her playmat nearby, glaring at both of them. Heath sighed and put an arm round his wife’s shoulders.“Almost.”

I ADORE how true to the show this fic is …..it could sooooo be part of an actual ep [such is the charecteristaion etc] !!!! I especially liked …. Ruby sighed.“I’m twenty-one years old, I’ve got no family left, I’ve been to jail, I’m struggling at college and my partner’s family are all hoping he’ll dump me one day.So no, I don’t think this is the best time to be having a baby.” “I get it, I really do,”Sasha promised her,“I thought I was pregnant after the first time with Casey and it was like this big black hole waiting to swallow me up.But Dex…Dex would be a brilliant father.And the rest of us would muck in.We don’t hate you that much.Actually…I’m not sure if we hate you at all anymore.Can you just think about this?” Sasha looked through a long stream of photos of Rosie and a small blonde-haired girl playing together and grinning at the camera, interspersed with a few of the girl on her own.“Wow, she’s a real cutie.What’s her name?” Rosie grinned broadly.“Sasha!”Sasha’s face froze in horror and Rosie laughed.“Only joking.She’s called Daisy.” “It’s okay, Darce,”Heath said reasuringly, as they hastily sat up,“I was just, um, rearranging April’s clothes.” Oh and looks sooooooooooo like Rosie is keen on hooking up with Spencer

The WHOLE scene that starts with …..Sasha was crossing the square at college when Dexter grabbed her arm and pulled her to a nearby table.“Dex!”she exclaimed in protest,“I get that we haven’t done much sibling bonding lately but kidnapping me when I’m late for a lecture isn’t on.” And your characterization of Rosie is soooooooooooo spot on - eg …..“Oh my god, April!”A blonde girl came over to her, babbling her head off.“I can’t believe I’ve seen you here, I didn’t think I was ever going to see anyone from Summer Bay again, which was my choice, kind of, but wow, you’re here and you’re looking great and have you seen Sasha lately?”

I was thinking/hoping you were inferrring the likes of that, but i just wanted to be sure !!!!!

I'm sure the 1st time the actual word was used on the show was Joey Collins was raped by .....some loser whose name i can't remenmber that worked with her on the fishing trawler ....... actually, here's part of my review of that ep on this site in 2009 ....... My UNOFFICIAL title for this ep, “ 21 Years Old – And More Grown Up Than Ever “ [screened in Australia on Mon, 9 Mar 09 – Episode # 4806] ROMAN'S PLACE Moments after Belle pops another pill, Aden enters and tells her the Robbo raped [his word] Joey on the day that Joey asked Aden not to leave the boat without her. Belle insists tat joey have to go to the police, but Aden says she hasn’t and that he knows where Joey is coming form. Aden however decides to do something bout the situation. Belle “suggest” that he shouldn’t do anything stupid – she says this as Aden bails. SURF CLUB Robbo is playing pool with a mate when Aden enters and grabs Robbo and confronts him about raping Joey, Robbo insist tat it was consensual, but Aden doesn’t rally believe him. Aden insists that robbo is going to be in the trouble with the police are told, but Robbo insist since he’s done nothing illegal, he has nothing to fear. Note – after various characters referred to the like of Carly, Chloe and Dani being attacked, it’s a GREAT, very grown up thing, to actually hear the R word.

Sarah, glad you really liked my fic [and those pics] !!!! Red Ranger 1, coooool that I surprised you and that you liked the finale!!!! ….but just to clarify, what do you mean by “quite raw” ??? pembie, re Ruby, she feels very guilty about what happened …..but I can see your point about how I might look. Also, at some point in the future, there SHOULD be a sequel to this …….after all, like you say, there’s a fair few things up in the air [so to speak] ……with Charlie, Indi, Sasha’s new life [including Blake] !!! …..and I’m really enjoying writing these combined H&A/h2o fics [the next one will be the 6th in the series] !!!! I must admit that I really like that channel 7Two is currently screening the eps of H&A where Blake was main cast [eps from early 1990s, which I record occasionally] .,….it’s like, it’s good seeing Sasha daily in current H&A and Blake in “The Early Years”. [see pics below] It’s also REALLY good to be able to be able to write new adventures for the likes of characters no longer on screen …….esp. Ruby, Rosie and Lottie. For a while there, I wasn’t sure how to end this fic. I’m glad I thought of the Sasha shower scene – to show some of the struggles she’ll face ……and [before I thought of Charlie leaving], I considered the idea of a reporter form the city witnessing [and FILMING] the mermaids taking on Heathzilla ….and having the very last scene being Rikki, Emma, April, Bella & Cleo diving into the ocean – fleeing town after the journo confronts them!!!!! Many thanks to ALL of you for joining me on this “Couple Of The Year” journey !!!!!

I love how true top the show this is …..in terms of charecterisation, ie …… This is sooooo Heath ….. Finally, he went over and sat down next to her, taking her hands in his.“Sorry,”he said quietly. Cooooooooooooooooooool that Ruby is preggy !!!!! Maybe she and APril will be able to re-bond when Ruby has her bub [with APril perhaps still looking after Domica] !!!! I also loooooooooooooooooooved ...... “What, they’ve put the price up on his favourite aftershave?” “Okay.Yeah.Sure.Er, you do know you’re a girl, right?” “I had noticed, yeah.” .“Sasha, you talk to him,”he hissed. “Why me?”she returned. “Because you’re the one with all the history with him and you’re the one with the dead parent.” Sasha stared at him in disbelief.“Thanks for bringing that up.” “Sorry!I’m nervous.I’m not too good with emotion.I tend to make stupid jokes or say the wrong thing or…”He took a deep breath.“Okay, I can do this.”He walked back into the living room, sat down and looked at Spencer.He tried to think of something inspiring but finally he just sagged. “Sorry, I don’t know what to say.” Spencer gave him a brief smile.“That’s okay.I’m not sure I do, either.” There were so many things she could be doing:She should be in college, she could have followed Dex to check up on Spencer, she could be checking out her closet to make sure Dexter hadn’t alphabetised and colour grouped it when he was feeling bored again

MAN !!!! there’s lots of BIG events happening in this fic …….1st Bianca’s issues and now Spencer’s parents passing away !!!!! Amongst ALL of that, there’s been some KILLER dialogue ……like ….. “And where’s your girlfriend, getting her anti-psychotic medication checked?” Spencer was just about to leave the beach house when Sasha and Maddy appeared in the doorway.He looked at them bemused.“My two exes showing up.That’s worrying.” “I’ll get the door, you get the phone,”Sasha decided,“Walk will do me good.”She headed to the door and found Dexter standing there. “Greetings, female of the species,”he announced.

Whoa about what’s happened to Bianca ……. But I LOOOOOOVED ….. .“How did you get the money for this?”Heath asked. “Rang my dad and told him he had twenty years of birthday presents to make up for,”April replied, “Said I’d cancel the debt if he paid for Bianca’s treatment.” Heath nodded.“Thinking like a Braxton.” April & Heath looking after Domina is an interesting touch !!!

Ok cool thanks I haven't watched that show but I did know it was about mermaids. I'll add here that altough i haven't really [at all????] referenced it in this fic, Bella & Cleo are together ...that's Bella especailly teases Cleo about THAT dolphin !!!

LOOOOOOVING this fic soooooooooo VERY much !!!! I especially love the way that April is ….very OCD accentuated by what occurred, and the baby was an VERY interesting development !!! REALLY looking forward to the next chapter !!!!

This fic is soooooooooooooooooo intriguing !!!! Cooool that they called the dog Polly. Casey doing what he had to do to protect his new family was intense !!! …….. and his laments about not having his brothers around is VERY understandable in uncertain times like these.

CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!! for 10 sublime years !!!!!!!!! I remember it like it was almost yesterday when a friend suggested that I should join this site, in 2004, to read/comment on her Kane/Kirsty fic. Since then, I’ve REALLY enjoyed not only reading various fics here, but posting several of my own …….and posting daily Oz ep summaries for a number of years there as well!!! …………. …..AND scoping out the various forums on here and the participating in thing like the Most Popular Character Poll !!!!! MANY MANY thanks to all the creators, moderators, contributors and the like for this OUTSTANDING site!!!!! ………especially since I’ve gained a number of some AWESOME friends because of it!!!!!! Here’s to ANOTHER 10 years ……..and MANY more!!!!!

A sequel would be cooooool ..... i really like Ruby/Dex, and this whole Bianca, baby, heath, April sitch is intriguing !!!!
