Extended Summary

Remi, Theo and Eden arrive back at the Lyrik house. The guys are both drunk, with Eden having been the designated driver. She reminds Remi he said it was just going to be one drink, which Remi says doesn’t sound like something he’d say. Eden wants to go and hang out with Kirby but Theo finds a note from her saying she’s gone to the movies with Mali and Rose. Eden agrees to stay on condition she orders pizza to soak up their beer and it isn’t an all-nighter (neither of the others agree to the last part).

At the Morgan house, Justin and Leah are relaxing on the sofa after their wedding certificate celebration. Justin notes it doesn’t have to be over yet: He’s not sure when Theo’s getting home, but he’s not expecting it to be any time soon. He says that Remi is doing it tough and Theo’s being a mate, with them reflecting on how far he’s come before deciding to make the most of the privacy and kissing.

Theo and Remi are flicking cards into a guitar case. Theo says he can’t believe Remi dumped a movie star. Eden says to cut back on the ex-girlfriend talk and Remi protests she wasn’t a girlfriend. Eden quietly tells Theo that Remi stumbled across Bree and Nelson post hook-up and she rode off on a motorbike. Felicity turns up with pizzas and admits she delivered them to get out of work early (and away from Mackenzie). Eden quickly takes the opportunity to join Felicity at her place.

Felicity admits she’s not sure if Xander was taking Mackenzie’s side or not and either way they’re down a barman. Eden blames it all on Mackenzie and says she’s pleased Felicity’s making her life a misery. She suggests Felicity sell the business so she’s rid of Mackenzie for good. Felicity looks taken aback. At the farm house, Mackenzie leaves a phone message for Xander, asking him to call her back. Levi turns up and Mackenzie tells him dinner’s in the oven: Chef cooked and she just reheated. Levi admits word has got around about him and Imogen at St. Christopher’s and people are taking sides.

Next morning, Xander heads down the beach for a surf, stopping by a sign that says the beach is closed after 9am for filming. Felicity turns up and asks what she can do to get him to come back. Aside from letting him surf before the beach closes, Xander says she can sort things out with Mackenzie. Felicity looks a bit like a rabbit caught in the headlights and Xander says that’s what he thought.

Mackenzie greets Levi as he gets up and notes he was tossing and turning all night. Levi doesn’t think he can stay on at the hospital with the way things are: It’s going to affect the patients if they’re not able to work together as a team. He also doesn’t think it’s fair on Imogen to be around it, when she hasn’t done anything wrong. He’s considering resigning.

At the Lyrik house, Theo is waking up on the sofa and Remi staggers from his room as Eden pointedly turns the blender on. She hands them both a glass of the mixture, saying it’s peanut butter and banana with a hint of vegemite. They both put it down without touching it. Theo decides to go out and get some greasy food, with Remi declining to go with him. Eden wonders if Remi is thinking about Bree and Stevie. Remi admits seeing Bree with Nelson hurt and he could have handled things better with Stevie. Eden suggests he move on and Remi asks if she’s doing that with Levi before asking for coffee.

At the Diner, Leah fills Marilyn in on her romantic evening…with Justin right there. Leah says he’ll have to go before the rush arrives. Theo comes in and Justin notes Alf was right about the movie being a nuisance. Marilyn says Alf is behind it now. Theo is also enthusiastic. Justin tells Theo that a surf is a good cure for a hangover…but the beach was shut for filming five minutes ago.

Felicity follows Xander into the flat. Xander asks Felicity what her problem with Mackenzie even is. Felicity says the affair’s hurt Eden who’s her friend. Xander says it’s not her battle and she put her heart and soul into the business after her marriage fell apart, and now she’s risking it all for Eden’s vendetta. Felicity asks if he’s finished and Xander says she knows where the door is.

Levi and Mackenzie walk through the film people near the surf club. Mackenzie checks Levi is okay about resigning and Levi calls it a fresh start. Felicity appears and asks to talk to Mackenzie. After the two of them have walked a little way away, she notes that they’ve both made bad choices and haven’t had each other’s backs in their personal lives but they’re in agreement about Salt. Mackenzie agrees to a fresh start.

Remi is sat on his bed, saying he moved on too fast and was right to end it and he’s not ready for a new relationship given how he reacted to Bree and Nelson. Eden, who has made a number of attempts to chime in, asks if she needs to be there for the conversation, before saying no-one likes to see their ex move on: Maybe Stevie was just a distraction or maybe she was the real deal and he threw it away for no good reason. Remi goes to have a shower, leaving Eden to answer a call from Imogen.

Xander hears a knocking on his door and has both Felicity and Mackenzie barge into his flat when he opens it. They tell him that they’ve come to an agreement about Salt. Xander asks if they’ve called a truce. They admit they haven’t put a label on it but they’re both on the same page. Xander says there’s one thing that could convince him to come back and they say he’s not getting a raise.

Marilyn is serving Eden at the coffee cart and notes she saw Bree and Nelson together at the filming. Levi turns up for a coffee and Eden tells him she heard from Imogen about him quitting his job. Levi tries to ignore her and order a coffee. Eden accuses him of running away rather than facing up to what he’s done. Meanwhile, Theo finds Remi waiting by the beach and notes he thought Remi’d be worried about seeing Bree and Nelson or Stevie turning up. Remi admits he’s waiting for someone, saying he made a mistake and hopes he can fix it. Theo asks if it’s Bree or Stevie.

Levi chases after Eden and asks what that was about, saying resigning was the right thing for himself, his patients and Imogen. He tells her to stop making his marriage break-up about her and get over it. Eden replies that he’s the one that moved to her town. Levi says he lived without her for ten years and can do it again but it’s her call.
