Extended Summary

Cash and Eden are at the Newman house; Eden is trying to get Cash to relax but he is worried about getting ready for his suspension review the next day, saying he’ll lose his job if things don’t go his way. Eden reminds him that he saved Dana’s life. Felicity turns up but tells them not to ask how she’s been, before disappearing into her room.

Leah is telling Justin about the dreams she’s been having every night and how she’s back in the factory every time she closes her eyes. Justin says he can’t help her if she doesn’t talk to him. Leah admits that, instead of meeting suppliers, she went to a clinic in Reefton Lakes and then another clinic, trying to get sleeping tablets, and ran off when they started asking questions. She also admits she spoke to Bree and Rose but didn’t go into details. Justin promises to stay awake with her.

Felicity sits in her room, toying with her wedding ring. She tries to text Tane again, before heading into the main room. Cash heads off to get pizza, after confirming Tane hasn’t asked about her. Felicity tells Eden that Tane’s blocked her number and wonders how he can treat her like this. At Salt, Mackenzie calls Tane to ask if he needs her to bring home dinner and learns he’s going out. She asks Xander, who has been taking his break with Rose, to come back to work and refuses to give him details of Tane and Felicity’s break-up. Cash turns up and Rose says she heard about his review, offering to give him a lift. Cash tells Mackenzie about Flick being back.

Leah and Justin are lying awake together. Leah thanks Justin for staying awake with her. Justin recalls how they used to stay up all night talking. He realises Leah has drifted off and says he’ll never run out of things to say to her. Meanwhile, Felicity bangs on the door of the farm house, getting Mackenzie up. Felicity wants to talk to Tane, and asks to come in and knock on his door. Mackenzie points out Tane blocked her number because he didn’t want to talk and convinces her to give him time. Felicity asks if Mackenzie gave him the wedding ring. She says she did but he didn’t say much.

Cash is lying awake. Eden stirs next to him and jokes that his thinking work her up. They hear the door go and Cash dresses and goes through to find Felicity. She tells him about going to the farm and Mackenzie convincing her to go away. She says she wouldn’t do the same if positions were reversed and thinks she’s finding out who her friends are.

Next morning, Felicity is hanging around outside the surf club and asks Alf if Tane’s in there. Alf tries to offer his condolences over the break-up but Felicity insists they haven’t broken up, they’re just having problems. Mackenzie and Xander approach and Felicity asks why Tane isn’t at the gym. Mackenzie doesn’t know where he is and says she hasn’t told him about Felicity’s visit since he wasn’t around when she got up.

Alf approaches Marilyn at the coffee cart. She tells him she doesn’t want to talk about the holiday. Alf says he was just there for a cup of tea but thinks Marilyn and Jett deserve the holiday and Irene will be disappointed she couldn’t talk to her. Irene turns up and Alf leaves them to it. Marilyn starts talking about the importance of seeing family but breaks off when Irene says she’s looking forward to seeing hers.

At Salt, Xander serves Rose, commenting on her day off and saying he’d rather do her graveyard shifts than work with Felicity. Rose passes Cash, saying she’ll pick him up after her swim. Cash asks Mackenzie why she wouldn’t let Felicity see Tane. Mackenzie says she didn’t want Felicity to know he wasn’t in his bed, explaining about him going out and sleeping with other women.

Leah tells Justin it’s the first night she’s slept through in ages and thanks him for staying awake with her. Justin thinks talking things over helped. He suggests putting it in his vows that he’ll stay awake with her if she’ll play video games with him. Later, they try to pick wedding dates. Justin suggests Leah’s birthday or the day they first got together; Leah initially thinks he means their first date, then realises he means something more earthy. She suggests the day with the fireworks on the pier but Justin muses that day was more about Tori and Christian. Leah suggests Valentine’s Day and Justin agrees.

Cash and Eden are discussing Tane’s actions in Cash’s room. Felicity arrives home and listens at the door as they debate whether or not to tell her. Eden suggests waiting so Cash can concentrate on his review but Felicity overhears him mentioning Tane’s sleeping with other women. At the Diner, Rose chats to Irene about Cash’s review. Nearby, Marilyn rejects a call from Jett and tells Alf that she’ll call him after her shift to say she can’t come. Irene comes over and Alf tells her about the holiday. Marilyn explains it’s when Irene’s going away with her family. Irene says she can go when Marilyn gets back.

Felicity storms into Salt and has a go at Mackenzie for keeping the fact Tane was sleeping with other women from her. Mackenzie tries to say she was trying to protect her but Felicity accuses her of taking Tane’s side. Xander tries unsuccessfully to intervene, then slips into the store room. Felicity refuses to leave. Meanwhile, Eden is helping Cash get ready as Rose joins them. Xander rings Cash to tell him about Felicity’s meltdown. Cash tells Rose to go on ahead and says he’ll drive himself there.

Mackenzie tries to convince Felicity to go somewhere private and Xander again tries to intervene. As Cash also arrives and tries to calm things, Mackenzie announces she can’t breathe and collapses, with Xander and Cash lowering her to the floor. Xander tells Cash to call an ambulance while he tries to revive her, with Felicity looking shocked.
