Extended Summary

Cash is standing some yards behind Felicity on the beach as she stares out to sea. Eden joins Cash and wonders why Jeremy would arrange the meeting. Cash says he might be trying to get time off his sentence or it might be genuine remorse. He admits that he and Felicity sat up all night talking because they couldn’t sleep. He calls over to her that she needs to get ready. Felicity doesn’t respond and Eden says there’s time to postpone. Felicity turns round and says she’s ready as she’ll ever be.

At the coffee cart, Marilyn serves Remi and asks how he is, saying she heard about Lyrik. Remi runs into Justin and Theo and promises there’ll be no more bother. Justin heads off to the garage. Theo notes Justin would rather be managing them, while Remi wishes there was a band to manage. Theo notices Remi’s two coffees: Remi says Bree’s coming off shift. He arrives home and calls out to her, but soon gets a text from her saying she’s stuck at the hospital. He picks up his guitar and strums without much enthusiasm.

Justin is on the phone to Alf at the garage, saying he’s let things slide and it’s not the same without Ziggy. After Justin hangs up, Theo arrives and offers to help out. Justin points out Theo can’t do anything mechanical because he’s not an apprentice anymore. Theo says there’s always admin, cleaning and sweeping.

Tane arrives home and calls out for Felicity. After going to the bedroom and smiling at their photo, he leaves her a message saying he’s back and wondering where everyone is. At the police station, Felicity is chatting to Amanda, who is acting as facilitator. Felicity wonders what will happen if she freezes. Amanda says they can take a break whenever she wants. She heads into the room and Felicity goes to chat to Cash and Eden, moments before Jeremy is escorted through. Eden offers to go in with her and Felicity agrees. She is nervous when the guards uncuff Jeremy and leave the room but Amanda quietly assures her they’ll be just outside. She invites Felicity to talk first.

As Cash watches through the window, Felicity asks Jeremy why he chose her. Instead of answering, Jeremy thanks Amanda for giving him this chance to talk. Amanda asks him to address Felicity and Jeremy rather insincerely asks what the question was again. Felicity gets more and more frustrated as Jeremy simply makes banal statements of regret and checks with Amanda that it’ll be on record that he tried to say sorry. As the situation gets more heated, Amanda tries to calm things and Felicity accuses her of taking Jeremy’s side. Felicity ends up walking out.

Remi is propping up the bar at Salt. Tane comes in and says Gemma’s doing better and he heard what happened with Lyrik. Remi notes he has no band and no guitar. Tane wonders where Felicity is. Remi knows Eden accompanied her to a meeting at the police station but doesn’t know the details. Tane walks out without saying anything else. “Good chat,”Remi drily comments.

Back at the police station, Felicity laments to Eden that she played into Jeremy’s hands by letting him get to her. Eden asks if she’s said everything she wants to say. Cash comes out of the interview room and says Amanda’s giving Felicity as much time as she needs to decide what to do. Felicity decides to go back in and declines Eden’s offer to go with her. As soon as she’s in, Tane turns up and wonders what’s going on.

Justin and Theo run into Remi in a park area and discuss Theo offering to help out at the garage. Remi says he’s going busking and Justin checks he’s not going to play Kirby’s songs. Remi carries on without answering but Theo says he knows the rules. Theo wonders if he should get back to his apprenticeship, since Lyrik seems to be finishing.

Tane is aghast at what’s going on and wants to pull Felicity out of there. Cash, Eden and some of the others present move to block him and Cash convinces him Felicity agreed to this. Eden says she was against it at first but she knows now that it’s what Felicity needs to move forward. In the meeting, Amanda brings things back under control. Felicity again asks why her. After giving an overly polite thank you, Jeremy eventually admits it was simply because she left her drink unattended and he saw the opportunity. Felicity is aghast that, while everyone was having a good time, he was prowling around like that, calling him pathetic. She says she came there because she thought she needed to know what happened but she’s realised it doesn’t matter and neither does he. Amanda invites Jeremy to respond but Felicity ends the session. She exits the room and tells Eden it’s over, then realises Tane is present and hugs him.

Outside the surf club, Remi finishes playing a song to an appreciative crowd, then starts playing the tune to Something Like You. Eden comes along and reminds him he can’t play that. Remi says Kirby wrote the song for Lyrik which Eden isn’t convinced will stand up in court. Remi carries on playing regardless. At the Parata house, Felicity rambles to Tane about how supportive Cash and Eden were and how it gave her a chance to take back her power. Tane is rather subdued and asks her when she found out it was a possibility and why she didn’t tell him. Felicity looks awkward.
