Justin gets a surprise visitor. Can Remi handle watching Lyrik perform without him?

Extended Summary

Justin and Theo are working at the garage. Theo is paying more attention to practising his singing than helping with the engine and wonders if he can have the day off but Justin reminds him Ziggy’s still on maternity leave. A girl comes in and Theo asks if he can help her or if she’s got a car. She says she came by bus. Justin recognises her as Ava, giving her a hug and asking if her mother’s with her. Ava says she went to his place first.

At the caravan park, Alf complains to Marilyn about John trying to give him muffins. Marilyn sees Felicity ducking into her van and wonders why she’s there and where Tane is. Alf says he just hands out the keys. Marilyn tells him to let Irene know she’ll be late. She knocks on Felicity’s van and asks if she wants a cup of tea. Felicity comments on Marilyn bringing her Diner work home with her. Marilyn says she thought Felicity might want to talk.

Xander finds Remi sitting by the beach. Remi says Xander isn’t the person he wants to see right now. Xander says that he and Bree are just friends and she’s moved in with him and Rose. He also explains about it being Jacob’s funeral yesterday and that’s why he took her out. Remi says that he started off being Bree’s friend as well and look how it ended for him.

Xander heads back to the flat. Bree wants to go and see Remi but Xander doesn’t think either of them are in the right head space for that. Bree feels bad about comparing him to Jacob. Xander convinces her to leave it for today, thinking Remi will cool off eventually.

Felicity brings Marilyn a cup of tea outside the van, saying she hopes she doesn’t want milk. Marilyn asks if Tane knows where she is. Felicity thinks he’ll work it out eventually. She asks since when does Marilyn care about her life. Marilyn says she thought Felicity might want to talk. Felicity says she was on the way to marry the man she loved when she had a car crash that left her best friend in a coma, and getting that out there hasn’t fixed anything. She walks away, leaving Marilyn looking deflated.

At the Morgan house, Justin is on the phone to Nina, saying Ava might as well stay for a couple of days now. He tells Ava she shouldn’t have run away and asks about the boy she was talking to online. Ava says Nina’s just being controlling and tried to take her phone. Theo takes Ava’s side, saying his phone’s his life. Kirby turns up to check on Theo before the gig. Justin refers to it as his band, prompting Ava to say they were a band before they met him. Kirby doesn’t know who she is but says she likes her. She is introduced.

At Salt, Mackenzie and Gabe are getting set up for the gig. Felicity walks in on them kissing. Gabe reminds her that she invited him to her party. Felicity is relieved he didn’t come. Gabe asks if she’s there to eat or to take the stock. Felicity says she’s there to work, which Mackenzie is surprised about. Gabe says he’s looked over their finances and Felicity says she didn’t realise boyfriends were doing that now. She goes to the store room and drinks.

Kirby goes home where Remi says that Eden’s asleep in his room. Kirby asks how he is and isn’t reassured by the answer. She asks him to come to the gig, noting it won’t be easy for him to sit there and listen to her and Theo butchering the band’s songs but she can’t face doing a gig without either him or Eden there.

Justin and Theo are trying to set up the sound system at Salt while Ava looks on. Justin tells her that he wanted to be in a band growing up and she should follow her dreams…but not him not embarassing her. Remi and Kirby turn up and Remi takes over helping Theo with the cables. At the bar, Felicity isn’t happy that Mackenzie made changes to the menu without consulting her or that Gabe seems to be running things. Gabe insists he’s just consulting and Mackenzie says the gig was his idea. Felicity retorts that live music isn’t actually an original idea and goes to talk to Remi.

At the flat, Bree looks over her note to Remi. Xander comes out of his room and suggests they go to the gig together. Bree isn’t keen on the idea, especially since she might run into Remi. Xander says he probably won’t be there and she can’t let fear of Remi run her life. He wonders when she last did something for fun.

Theo and Kirby are getting set up for the gig and Ava gets Justin to take a photo of her with them. Kirby exchanges looks with Remi before they start up the gig. Felicity offers Remi a free rum and coke, despite him saying he’s not drinking and Mackenzie saying they’re not giving away free drinks tonight. Felicity bumps into a guy, causing him to spill his drink. Mackenzie offers him a replacement and Felicity offers him a bottle. Gabe steps in, saying she can’t serve alcohol while drunk and could lose her liquour license. Mackenzie tells her she’s making a scene. Felicity walks out, unplugging Lyrik’s sound system as she goes. Justin quickly plugs it back in. Mackenzie finds Felicity drinking on the stairs and asks what that was. Felicity says she got thrown out of her own bar. Mackenzie tries to talk to her but Felicity walks off. She sneaks into Lyrik’s house and helps herself to a bottle of Remi’s rum.

Back at Salt, Ava films Theo and Kirby’s set. Justin tells her to hashtag Lyrik and makes sure to tell people it’s her father’s band; Ava says it’s “tag” and they already know. Mackenzie appreciates Gabe did the right thing with Felicity but says she’s still her friend. Remi perks up when he sees Bree come in, until Xander comes in behind her. Xander convinces Bree to take a seat. As Ava continues to film Theo and Kirby singing, Xander tries to get Bree to dance with him. Remi walks out. Bree follows him and he says he knows nothing’s going on with her and Xander but he can’t stand being close to both her and the band and not having either of them: He’s not just leaving the gig, he’s leaving Summer Bay.

Felicity is drinking by the campfire and starts dancing along to music from a speaker. She stops and stares into the fire for a moment, having a flashback of screams and sirens, then takes another swig from the bottle and starts dancing again.
