Episode 7577

Ryder and Chloe are setting up their van outside the surf club. Ryder wonders if Chloe’s still worrying about the baby and Chloe hopes they get good business. They see Bella and Nikau coming back from the beach and try and interest them in some food but Bella has to meet Emmett and Nikau is worriedly looking at his socials, saying his followers have plateaued. Later, back at the Parata house, Bella finds a post-it note from Ari and Mia saying they’ve gone away for the day. Emmett turns up for their meeting while Nikau calls Allegra for advice.

At the Diner, Alf and Roo chat with Marilyn about the meeting to discuss Martha coming home. Tori comes in and they ask her about Justin. Tori says he’s agreed to stay in hospital but only grudgingly. Christian comes in for a coffee but suggests he and Tori talk. Tori asks Marilyn to look after Grace for a bit longer and Marilyn says she’ll take her home. Tori and Christian walk onto the pie., Christian apologises for dropping the ball with Justin but also thinks Tori was out of line talking to Rachel the way she did. Tori thinks Christian’s own behaviour with Rachel is ethically questionable. Christian insists it’s Tori he loves and asks what he can do, but takes a step back when Tori says the wedding, saying he can’t deal with that now. His pager goes off with an emergency but he says they’ll talk later.

Tori heads home to Marilyn and Grace. Marilyn recounts how they’ve been chasing Buddy round the garden but Tori ends up bursting into tears. At the Parata house, Bella is looking over Emmett’s photos. Emmett says it was just luck that he managed to keep someone in focus. Bella thinks she has lifetimes to go before she gets that good, but Emmett says she just needs more experience and will learn from listening to him. Bella jokingly reminds him he told her to run a mile.

Ryder and Chloe are worried about the lack of business, with Chloe thinking Mackenzie must have done something. They fail to interest Nikau in some free food. Sienna and Allegra appear; Sienna comments on Nikau trying to commandeer her best earner for the day, with Allegra explaining Sienna was there when Nikau called. The three of them decamp to Salt where Nikau says he just thought Allegra could give him some advice. Sienna isn’t mad and is happy to help. Nikau says he thought they might take some selfies on the beach but Sienna says they need an event.

Tori reflects that she’s meant to be on her honeymoon now but instead Christian is obsessing over his patient, even if it’s not romantic, and she feels jealous. Christian listens from the doorway before entering. Marilyn says she’ll put Grace down, convincing them to go for a walk. Christian says he heard enough. As they walk on the beach, Christian says it seems like Rachel understands and Tori doesn’t, because they’ve both come back from the brink of death. Tori says she was in a coma for the first six months of Grace’s life but Christian says that hasn’t changed her, even though he’s tried to involve her. Tori says she can’t deal with this on top of what’s happened with Justin. Christian says he’s been hurting her and feels he should move out so they can focus on their own stuff.

Bella and Emmett are looking over their shots when Nikau, Sienna and Allegra arrive. Sienna thinks Emmett should get the exhibition over and done with and get back to real work, saying his art doesn’t pay the bills. Bella and Emmett decide to go somewhere else. The others head out the back to check things out. Later, Sienna asks Nikau what he’s going to wear; she and Allegra explain he can add tags if he wears designer clothes. Sienna says she’ll send over some options for him.

Bella and Emmett have retired to Salt. Bella looks over the numerous photos on Nik’s feed, including several photos of him with Allegra. Bella reflects Nikau didn’t even want to meet Sienna in the first place and she’s created a monster. Emmett arranges to meet her in the morning to carry on with things and assures her her career’s on the up as well. Meanwhile, Christian is saying his goodbyes to Tori and Grace, saying it might only be for a few days but they need a circuit breaker. Tori tearfully notes that a week ago she thought they were getting married. They kiss goodbye and he leaves.

Back at the Parata house, Nikau has told a delighted Ryder and Chloe that he wants them to do the catering for the event. Sienna and Allegra say their goodbyes to Nikau and Bella, saying they’ll be back first thing in the morning. Nikau wants Bella to be there. Bella says she’s meant to be working on the exhibition but Nikau says he needs her support. Next morning, at the Diner, Roo tells Alf she hasn’t been able to sleep because she’s worried the doctors won’t agree Martha has a good enough support network. Ryder and Chloe come in on their way to the suppliers and Ryder says to give Martha his love. Bella complains to Chloe about Nikau expecting her to drop her work, but Chloe retorts that Nikau’s thing is today and Bella should stop being self-centred and negative and support him.

As Ryder and Chloe head outside, Chloe continues to complain about Bella but Ryder thinks she might be right about Nikau having changed. Chloe says Nikau’s job means he needs to care about superficial things. Ryder says Bella’s as important as his career. At the house, Nikau shows off his outfit, getting somewhat faint praise from Bella, who is peeved when Sienna and Allegra just walk straight in. Sienna says she has minions setting up outside and gives Nikau a gushing compliment for his look. After the pair have gone, Bella tells Nikau she’s trying to be on board but finds his internet posing fake. Sienna breezes through but then stops and listens at the front door. Nikau reminds Bella he did this for her and is trying to provide for his family, but Bella says she doesn’t like that he’s changing.
