Extended Summary

Irene, Roo and Marilyn are crowded round John as he prepares some more unsatisfying sausages. Alf brings over his own takings and they note he’s made more than John. John is disappointed and Irene suggests he gets sponsored for drinking smoothies, with her and Ryder choosing the ingredients. John says if they can raise $300 he will drink five smoothies. Irene goes and tells Coco and Maggie he agreed to it; Coco says they have to let Raffy know. Up in Salt, Ben is very unhappy about the way Justin was speaking to Ziggy. Justin says a quick apology and goes. Ziggy is annoyed that he didn’t apologise to her. Brody can understand where Justin was coming from after Ziggy encouraged Willow. An incredulous Ben points out that Justin was yelling at Brody’s wife.

Jasmine turns up at the Diner flat with her dress, telling Robbo she’ll get ready there. Robbo is happy to go to the dinner, saying Tori will let him know if there’s any news. Jasmine is surprised at how chilled he is, saying she thought he’d be round at Tori’s every day. Robbo says his part is done for nine months. Down on the beach, Coco finds Raffy, who says Tori’s getting some food. Coco tells her about the smoothies and asks her to come. Raffy is uncertain and Coco assures her Abbi won’t be there because her parents have taken her away for a couple of weeks.

Ben, Brody and Ziggy come downstairs at the surf club. Ben and Ziggy are both still angry about Justin’s behaviour but Brody thinks Ziggy wasn’t blameless. He goes to find Justin, who he assures them will still be playing tonight. Maggie asks what’s going on and Ben assures her it’s under control. Maggie joins Ryder, Raffy and Coco, who are making the smoothies, and provides anchovies. Down on the beach, Brody finds Justin, who tells him not to have a go. Brody tells him not to push away the only person who can see his point of view. Justin knows he shouldn’t have yelled at Ziggy but can’t take any more advice, since he knows he and Willow are hanging by a thread.

John has started his challenge with a crowd including Alf, Roo, Irene, Ryder, Raffy, Coco, Ben, Maggie and a worried-looking Marilyn, with Leah filming. He finishes off his latest smoothie and Irene and Ryder comment that they thought the peanut butter-anchovies combo after the pickled eggs would finish him. They prepare for their final offering: A combination of mayonnaise, oyster and mango. As he starts, Raffy leaps on Coco’s back. Coco comments that she scared her; Raffy thinks Coco thought she’d gone psycho again and storms out. John falters but manages to finish the drink…then asks for a bucket. Out in the bush, Justin comments on how things are hard with Willow. Brody says relationships are hard, reminding him of the hoops he had to jump through for Ben. Justin says he thought getting Willow away from Dean and his problems would help but Brody reminds him Willow is wild. He also tells him not to talk to Ziggy like that again. Justin agrees to play to make up for it, since he’s not going to sort things out with Willow today.

Coco asks Ryder if he’s seen Raffy, admitting something happened. She asks the same of Irene and Leah (who are looking over the video) and then John and Marilyn. Raffy is sitting on a bench when Marilyn joins her and tells her she misunderstood Coco. Raffy says she doesn’t know what’s worse, being known for having fits and wetting herself or for beating people up: The new medication could stop the side effects but not the seizures. Marilyn assures her she’s surrounded by people that love and support her.

Justin and Brody arrive at Salt and run into a young woman, Simone, who recognises Brody from his videos and says she’s a big fan. Brody tells Ziggy that he and Justin will be playing; Ziggy is annoyed to realise Brody wouldn’t have played without Justin. Robbo leaves Jasmine at the bar and asks Justin about Tori. Justin accuses him of blowing hot and cold – breaking in, then ignoring Tori, now asking about her – and warns him not to make his early fears about Robbo being donor come true. In the gym, Irene and Roo advise Leah over her dress. Marilyn brings Raffy in and she and Coco clear the air: Coco apologises, Raffy admits she overreacted and Coco asks for her help with her hair. Maggie takes Ziggy aside and tells her she’s considering removing her wig for the first time at the dinner. Ziggy loves the idea and tells Coco and the others. Roo suggests Leah film it; Leah checks with Maggie who is fine with it.

Up in Salt, Alf assures a nervous-looking Ben that he heard happy noises coming from the gym. Irene, Leah, Marilyn, Roo, Ziggy, Raffy and Coco enter to provide a guard of honour for Maggie, who is sporting a short but very full head of hair. Ben compliments her, then gives a speech of introduction to those present (including Ryder) saying the raffle prizes include gym membership, a fishing trip with Alf and lunch at the Diner, also mentioning the silent auction for cooking lessons with Brody. As everyone signs up, Simone writes something down and Roo, Irene, Leah and Marilyn note she bid $750 for the lessons. Jasmine notices Robbo is distracted. Ziggy gives Brody a guitar plucker as a peace offering but things remain frosty between her and Justin. Ben introduces the brothers who start playing with Justin singing. Jasmine finds Robbo on the balcony leaving a message for Tori and he suggests they go somewhere private to talk. Justin sees Raffy yawning and wants to take her home but John says he and Marilyn will. Ziggy congratulates Brody but they soon disagree over Justin again and Ziggy goes home.

In the gym, Robbo has filled Jasmine in on how he acted with Tori and also gives her details of how his family died: He missed Sophie’s recital because he was busy with a case and had an argument with Lauren, so spent a lot of time after work picking out a special present for her as an apology only to find them dead. He says the person that did it is still out there, which didn’t matter when he was on his own, but now he has a kid on the way and a woman he loves. Jasmine says he won’t lose her and kisses him. Up in Salt, Simone approaches Brody and tells him she won the silent auction. She formally introduces herself and says they’re going to have fun.
