Extended Summary

Brody makes arrangements with Simone; she thanks him for the opportunity and he thanks her for the bid. He says if she doesn’t learn anything then it’s the teacher’s fault; Simone doesn’t agree and neither does Maggie. Brody tells Maggie Ziggy went home. Ben says he and Maggie will be back in the morning to help tidy up. Brody finds Justin has been hiding out on the balcony; he says he doesn’t have anywhere else to go. Brody encourages him to call Willow then gets his own phone out. In fact, Willow and Ziggy are together at the beach house. Ziggy gets Brody’s text (“Home soon. We’ll talk.”) but doesn’t tell him she’s not at home and also stops Willow answering Justin’s call, saying the night’s for the sisterhood. However, when Irene comes home, Ziggy leaves, saying she wants to grab dibs on the bed before Brody gets home. Irene asks Willow if her fall-out with Justin is why she wasn’t at the dinner, but Willow isn’t in the mood for talking and goes to bed.

Jasmine and Robbo are walking near the beach. Jasmine is glad Robbo opened up to her. He assures her he won’t let anything happen to her, before deciding to walk her home. At the Morgan house, Justin is pacing the living area when Brody comes in with a quilt and pillow and announces Justin’s in his bedroom. He makes himself a bed on the sofa and confirms Ziggy isn’t apologising.

Robbo and Jasmine arrive back at the beach house. Robbo tries to say good night but Jasmine asks him to stay. She leads him to her bedroom, then hastily attempts to get rid of all the clothes strewn on the bed. Robbo also removes a teddy bear from it…making room for them. The next morning, Robbo wakes Jasmine by tickling her face with a hair. Jasmine has the day off but Robbo needs to get ready for work and resists her attempts to get him to stay before observing a real lady would walk him out. Jasmine walks him past Irene and Willow and, after kissing him goodbye, asks if they could be any more embarrassing and heads back to her room rather than give details. Willow jokes about asking Robbo for a raise while he’s loved up.

Justin and Brody walk near the surf club, with Brody complaining about Ziggy leaving first thing instead of talking. Justin goes to find Willow as Ziggy approaches coming back from a surf. Brody still refuses to take her side against Justin. Simone appears, having turned up early for her lesson, and Brody introduces her and Ziggy to each other before Ziggy leaves. Soon after, Simone is helping Ben and Maggie clear up Salt. They ask how she knew about the auction and she explains she found out about it online after first learning of Brody from Stephen Brown’s blog. Maggie asks Brody if he’s sorted things out with Ziggy and he admits it’s a work in progress.

Justin tracks down Willow on the beach and says things got out of hand yesterday because people got in their heads. However, Willow says she meant every word and he shouldn’t have shouted at Ziggy. She says she’s bending over backwards to make the relationship work and it’s turning her into a different person. Justin says he didn’t want that. Willow says she’d better get to work. Meanwhile, Ben and Maggie arrive at the Diner and tell Alf and Irene they raised $17,247. They ask about her next fundraiser and Maggie says there’s a marathon next month. Ziggy arrives and is also filled in. Ben takes her aside and asks if she’s sorted things with Brody. Ziggy says he’s on Justin’s side. Ben thinks it’s not as simple as that, pointing out that Ziggy can say what she likes about him and Maggie but Brody can’t.

Brody asks Simone if she’s used to following recipes online, saying he has a number of new recipes and wants to see if she can follow them before he gives them to his staff. Seeing Justin come in, he tells her to make a start chopping vegetables and he’ll join her in a bit. Justin tells him that he’s made things worse with Willow and doesn’t know what she wants. Brody suggests he apologises. In the gym, a distracted Willow drops a load of towels. She asks Robbo if he’s ever looked in the mirror and not recognised what he sees. Robbo wryly asks if she’s met him. Willow explains she’s been trying to please Justin but it’s hard. Robbo suggests she needs to learn to be herself.

Ziggy joins Jasmine on the beach, having just been for her second surf of the day. Willow also joins them and comments on taking advice from Robbo. She says she’s always gone with the flow while Justin prefers to make plans. She thought being with Justin made her a better person but now she’s thinking she’s just a different person. At Salt, Brody and Simone are getting on well as they prepare the recipes. Brody’s phone lights up with a text from Ziggy – “I’m an idiot, I love you. Our place one hour?” – but he doesn’t notice it.

Robbo and Jasmine walk on the beach (Ben is working nearby). Jasmine suggests Robbo come back to hers, before assuring him that she’s joking and once was enough for the week. At the Morgan house, Ziggy comes across Justin while looking for Brody. They exchange apologies and Justin tells her not to take her problems with him out on Brody. Ziggy asks if she can offer him advice: Accept Willow for who she is.

Brody and Simone are tasting the food they made at Salt. Ziggy turns up and asks Brody if he got her text. She turns down an invitation to join in the tasting and she and Brody retreat to the bar; she tells him her plan for “making up” and also mentions Justin’s apology. Brody says he can’t just ditch Simone but will be with her as soon as possible. As they resume the tasting, Ziggy looks left out. Back at the Morgan house, Justin thanks Willow for coming. He says he knows he messed up but Willow says their problems are bigger than Dean and she’s changed too much. Justin suggests relationships are based on compromise but Willow thinks he sees her as a bad girl that needs saving and doesn’t agree with that. Justin asks if they’re breaking up. Willow doesn’t know but thinks they need to take a step back from the relationship. Justin accepts it and wishes her luck; both of them look upset as she leaves.
