Extended Summary

At the hospital, Tori is shocked when two ambulance officers bring in Justin, saying he’s a casualty from an MVA. Raffy arrives with Colby and asks if he’s going to be okay; the male ambo notes he’ll probably have a concussion. Tori orders a CT scan and asks Colby what happened. Colby tells her about the report of Beckett Reid being in the car and how it somehow ended with Ash chasing Justin. He wants to get a statement from Justin but Tori insists she has to check him over first. Back at the school, Roo tries to get a response from Alf before shifting some of the rubble and placing her top under his head.

On the beach, Ryder is telling Coco about the accident but she is more stunned about the fact he walked out of detention. Ryder doesn’t think there’ll be much response, especially with Justin being in the accident, but wonders if he should sleep on the beach. He asks Coco to hang with him but, while she appreciates his help, she has a family picnic. She goes over to join Ziggy: Neither of them are sure what the picnic’s about but both agree to support Ben and Maggie. At the hospital, Colby goes to see a now awake Justin. Justin says the car was a customer’s and offers no explanation for how Robbo was seen in it or how he ended up being chased by Ash. Colby notes Ash is spending the night in the lock-up for dangerous driving, obstructing the police and resisting arrest. Tori steps in and, under cover of doing an examination, quietly asks Justin why he didn’t wait for her and what happened to Robbo. Justin asks for his phone and calls Willow, who is at the motel with Robbo, having decided it was safer than taking him to the Morgans’. She is shocked to hear about Justin’s accident and decides to head to the hospital since Robbo is still just staring at the photo.

Outside the Diner, Leah gives Ben a hamper. She asks him about Maggie and Ben says she has Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma but insists she’s going to be all right. He admits they haven’t told the girls yet and are about to do it. After he’s gone, Jasmine, who has been wiping tables nearby, approaches Leah and asks how old the girls are, with Leah saying they’re sixteen and nineteen. She recalls Roo was covering Maggie’s classes and decides to call her. In the hole, Roo can hear her phone but it’s up in the classroom. Alf comes round and asks what happened; Roo can only reveal that there was an explosion and the floor gave way. Alf starts getting chest pains. Roo gives him one of his pills.

Ben joins Maggie, Ziggy and Coco on the beach with the hamper. The adults comment on how they don’t do this often enough. The girls ask if everything’s okay; Maggie says it is and Ben just offers some food. Looking out to water, Maggie notes it’s beautiful and they’re lucky to live there. She sends the others out for a swim, watching them. At the hospital, Willow turns up and finds herself face to face with Colby: They clearly recognise each other but Willow just slaps him and then pushes past him to join Tori and Justin. Tori asks why they didn’t wait for her. Justin thinks the police don’t know anything except that Robbo was seen in a car. He asks Willow if she can get another car; she says she can, but the problem is Robbo, who still hasn’t come out of it. Justin explains to Tori about the photo and recalls Novak was around at the time the car was abandoned. Tori wonders if they should go to the police but Justin reminds her she wanted Robbo to disappear and suggests she check on him before making the decision.

Leah and Jasmine are walking near the beach with Jasmine worried how David will react to the AVO. Colby approaches and tells them that in order to extend it, the judge will need Jasmine’s current address. He assures her David won’t be able to find it out and will only know the general area. Back at the school, Alf comes round but is still in some pain. Roo doesn’t know where his phone is and doesn’t know the password for Ryder’s computer so decides to try and climb out.

Ben, Ziggy and Coco come back from their swim. Ben notes he should have brought his board and Coco wishes her own attempts to learn surfing had been more successful. They discover Maggie is gone; Ben gets a text from her simply saying “Sorry.” Ziggy realises the test results have come and Coco realises Maggie has cancer. Ben says they got the results this morning and Tori’s optimistic. Coco runs off; Ziggy goes after her and they walk together. Maggie is back at the farm house, upset. Ben, Coco and Ziggy arrive and Maggie apologises for leaving. Ziggy and Coco hug her. At the Diner, Jasmine tells Leah that she wants to feel safe but there seem to be problems everywhere: The court could reject the AVO without an address and it might just make David angry.

Tori is with Robbo in the motel room and asks him if he wants a shower or change of clothes. Sitting by him, she talks about him being in shock and withdrawn and suggests he trust her. Robbo turns and looks at her. Back at the hospital, Justin and Willow discuss Tori’s theory that Robbo has PTSD. Willow has a car and false plates ready. Colby enters and Justin realises he and Willow know each other. Willow says Colby wasn’t a cop then. She leaves and Colby asks for a statement. Justin offers no explanation for how he ended up driving a car with stolen plates and says he doesn’t know the owner’s name. Colby says Ash will be out in the morning and if Justin is in deep, he can help him. Justin doesn’t answer so Colby starts taking the statement.

Roo makes an attempt to climb out of the hole but doesn’t get very high before she slips back down again. She complains that people should be looking for them. Alf says there’s something he needs to tell her but Roo tells him to save his breath. Outside the Diner, Leah approaches Ryder and Raffy and asks how Justin is. Ryder notes he’s keeping Raffy company until the others get back. Leah is surprised he’s allowed out and Ryder notes neither Alf nor Roo has said anything to him. Leah asks when he last spoke to them. Ryder realises it was before the accident and wonders if something’s happened to them. Leah decides to check.

Roo hears Alf’s phone ringing but finds it’s between the rocks, down an opening too small for her to reach into. Alf thinks he’s having a heart attack and says he needs to tell Roo that her mother’s alive. Roo thinks he’s confused, saying her mother drowned over thirty years ago. Alf insists that she’s out there alive.
