Extended Summary

Morag and Josie have decided to work together to combat Ian Osborne. The last straw was when Ian demanded that Josie break up Robbie and Tasha, because Robbie made a disparaging comment about him. Morag gets in touch with Stafford McRae. He didn’t show Ian the security tape of her and Josie meeting, so maybe he’s an ally?

Irene is frustrated at being kept out of the Josie / Morag meetings that are going on. Maybe Josie’s managed to charm even Morag? Irene was the one that dragged Morag into this business with Josie and now she’s on the outside! Meanwhile, Leah’s backing away from Dan after she found out he may have a violent history with his estranged wife. Irene’s frustration over Morag fuels her to take an active role in Leah and Dan’s problem. She grabs Leah and marches her out to Dan’s table in the Diner. She plonks her down and demands they talk. “Too many people in this town complicate things by not communicating”, she says to them.

Leah shamefacedly gets the whole story off her chest. She thinks that maybe she expected something like this to come along because things were going so good. Dan assures Leah he’s in her life for good. He says his bust-up with Amanda was angry and unpleasant but there were no heroes or villains. Amanda is a fabulist – a psychological condition where people make up stories to make themselves the centre of attention or rewrite history to paint themselves in the role of the hero or heroine. Leah says it’s time for them to move to the next stage – introducing Dan to VJ.

Jesse sees them all on the beach together and rethinks his attitude to keeping Josie at arms length. He walks up to her in the gym and gives her a deep kiss. Josie is thrown, but not altogether unhappy. Later on she returns the favour and also invites him around to her place that night. It’s going to get torrid.

Morag meets with Stafford McRae. He agrees that what Osborne’s doing is unhealthy. He says Osborne panicked when Morag came on the scene; if anyone can beat him, she can. She gives him a message for Osborne. He has a week to remove all the security cameras from the Beach House and then she wants a face-to-face meeting. At that meeting she will explain how he can continue to assess Tasha without recourse to Big Brother techniques. As Stafford is leaving, he notices Dani and is instantly smitten.

Morag continues the counter-attack against Osborne by disconnecting all the cameras in Josie’s house. Later, she takes a call from a friend in the Department of Corrective Services. Viv’s transfer can go through as soon as possible. It looks like Alf is going to get the chance to face his old ghosts after all. But is Alf ready for this?
