Extended Summary

THE SAUNDERS-FLETCHER-POULOS-McGREGORS
Flynn and Jesse almost literarly bump into each other on the beach whilst out jogging. They were supposed to go together, so Jesse apologises and says he went out early. Flynn asks if he wants to go a run on the dunes with him, but Jesse declines, making the excuse that he’s got to get back to babysit VJ.
Later, Sally and Flynn talk about Leah & Jesse coming over for dinner. Sally is rather quiet, she’s obviously got something on her mind. Like the possibility of her husband cheating on her with the surrogate mother of their baby.
When they come over, things are a bit tense, and Leah knocks gravy all over Flynn’s shirt and goes to clean it off, leading to an awkward moment. Jesse and Sally go to the kitchen and Sally is particularly distressed. Jesse, however, seems to have had a change of heart and points out that if Sally was having his and Leah’s baby, they would be close too.
Flynn is fed up with the tension and insists they talk about it. He says that of course he is attracted to Leah, she’s a very attractive person (bet Sally loved that!) but there’s nothing going on between them. He seems to think this will solve things.

HYDE
Hyde returns and resists Mr Roger’s efforts to call the police. However, he’s not being nice to the students – he just wants to be the one to get them out. And the way he’s going to do that is by shutting off all the services (electricity, water) one by one, and flush the students out. Rhys and Beth are understandably unhappy about this and try to convince him to negociate, but of course, he wants things done his way.

KANE/KIRSTY
They talk at the gates and she explains about the mistake. He wants her to come out but she says they’ll just have to wait and talk after the lock-in is over.
Kane has gone home with Irene, only to decide to go back to the school and break down the gates to get to Kirsty (isn’t that what he tried to do last night, why did he go home then decide to go do it again?). Hyde isn’t appreciative of Kane’s shouting and gate-trying-to-break-downering and a shouting match insues until Kane runs off.
Next thing we know, he’s in the school talking to Kirsty and Jade. He says not to worry, no-one else will find the same way in. Kirsty and Jade discuss it and eventually Kirsty decides to leave. They return to the Beach House, inform Irene that the lock-in isn’t over, Kirsty’s the only one who’s left.
They turn up at Sally and Flynn’s because Kane is anxious for Flynn to give her another check-up. In his office, Flynn questions Kirsty about how her pregnancy is not as far along as she claims it is. She breaks down and admits the truth that she initially wasn’t pregnant – it was all a lie to stop her dad annulling the marriage. He’s very shocked and gives Kirsty the guilt trip about how she led Kane to believe the baby had died as a result of him almost hitting her. Any bets that she’ll still not tell him for another few months?

A so-so episode, nothing particularly exciting. Except that there was no Kim Yay!
