Will Max and Colleen ever be friends again? Seb is hurt that Jade might be using him. Dani confronts Brodie and Alex.

Rhys rants that Kane has tried to ruin is family and Scott has offered him a job. Scott says he’s not trying to hurt anybody but that it’s none of Rhys’s business. He’s talked to Dani and they’re doing this to try and move on, for Kirsty’s sake. Rhys asks if Scott realises he’s just making it easier for them to be together. Scott says this isn’t easy on him, he wishes Kane had never turned up at this town and Rhys knows he means that. Rhys asks why he’s helping him then and Scott replies that if Rhys lets Kane walk away, he better get used to the idea of losing Kirsty because wherever he goes she goes too. Rhys storms off angrily.
CARAVAN PARK HOUSE
Jade enters her and Kirsty’s bedroom moaning that the lunatics have escaped from the asylum and moved in with them. Kirsty hopes it’ll get easier soon but Jade moans that she wishes, she couldn’t even get in the bathroom this morning to clean her teeth. Kirsty mentions that there’s no point to the rosta because Matilda just does what she wants anyway. Jade agrees but says its just easier to let her have her own way than to listen to her complain. Jade mentions that she’s been thinking of moving out, Kirsty tells her that she can’t do that. Jade asks why not, it’d be easier on everyone and Seb wants them to live together. She says she was trying to put him off but now it seems easier. Kirsty tells her to keep putting him off, that theres no way she can move out. Jade asks why and Kirsty replies that Dad needs her and they have the wedding coming up and she just doesn’t think its a good idea.
Hayley enters and asks Dani how’s her first day without the trial hanging over her head. Dani admits she’s just glad the nightmare is over and Hayley remarks that it means she can finally get on with her life. Dani asks Hayley about Alex and Hayley says things are good, he rang twice this morning to talk to her and Dani asks if the Brodie thing is over. Hayley says it hasn’t been easy but they’re finally putting things behind them and getting on with the future. Jesse puts his heads round the door and tells Hayley that Alex is on the phone. Hayley thanks Dani for helping her get through this, she doesn’t know what she would have done without her.
CARAVAN PARK HOUSE
Rhys moans that there is no way he is going to let Kane think he’s won but beth says that if scott has offered Kane work that’s his business. Rhys says he’s going out with his daughter so that makes it his business. Beth tells him it doesn’t and that she doesn’t think he’s being fair to Scott, he’s only trying to do the best by everybody. Kirsty asks if everything is okay and Rhys thanks her but Beth interrupts telling Kirsty that Scott has offered Kane a job and that Rhys isn’t happy. Kirsty asks what and Beth tells her that Scott and Dani want to help Kane. Kirsty remarks that rhyus isn’t happy about it and Rhys asks what she thinks. She tells him to give Kane a go but Rhys says its not going to happen. Max enters and Beth tells him she’s saved him some lunch but he ignores her, heading straight upstairs.
Hayley orders two take away coffees from Colleen and Colleen suggests that she knows Hayley watches her figure but that Alex has made some lovely brownies. Hayley thanks her but says no and asks after Alex, she was hoping he’d be there. Colleen says he’s gone to do the banking and Haley asks if he got the short straw. Colleen remarks that usually he hates doing the banking but he seemed very keen today for some reason. Alf approaches Seb and asks if he’s given any more thought to this moving out caper. Seb doesn’t want to talk about it. Alf says there’s no use sweeping it under the carpet but Seb says when he makes a decision he’ll let him know. Alf tells him when he’s ready they do need to talk about it more and Seb agrees when he’s ready.
Irene enters and comments that she’s seen Alf looking perkier, he grunt ‘kids’ and heads upstairs. Irene asks how Hayley is and after Alex. Colleen interrupts that she those two lovebirds would get their act together. Irene asks if Hayley’s heard that Brodie is staying around and Hayley remarks that she’ll have to pop down and see how she’s doing. Irene tells her that she’s actually down in Yabbie Creek shopping but will be back later tonight. Max enters and Colleen asks what he wants but he pointedly asks Alf for a choolate milkshake, leaving Colleen hurt.
Hayley enters with the coffees and Jesse tells her she has perfect timing. Hayley says she’s just seen Irene and Brodie’s planning on sticking around. Jesse remarks that he thought she was pretty set on going and Hayley suggests she probably just wants more time to catch up with old friends but Jesse is unconvinced. Hyley asks him what he means and he says nothing but she tells him he reckons Brodie’s sticking around because of Alex and Jesse says nothing that guy does would surprise him. Hayley tells him she knows what alex did wasn’t great but it’s over now. Jesse says that he was meant to turn up last night to talk over the gym but he didn’t turn up and Hayley replies that he reckons he was with Brodie and Jesse replies he’s not sure. Hayley says Jesse has to trust her, she knows Alex and she knows he wouldn’t lie to her again.
Brodie returns and Irene asks how she got on shopping, Brodie says fine but she didn’t buy anything. Irene asks what she got up to and Brodie replies that she wandered around, catching up and had a coffee. Irene asks if she didn’t bump into anyone she liked better than herself but Brodie says no, the place was really quiet. Dani arrives and Irene makes herself scarce. Brodie asks Dani what’s happening and Dani says she’s hoping Brodie could tell her. Dani asks about the perfume she bought Brodie for her eighteenth and how she smelt it on Alex’s jacket. Dani says she doesn’t know what’s going on and she’s not blaming anyone but that they can’t do this to Hayley and she can’t do it to herself. Brodie replies that she knows that, she confides that she and Alex did meet up last night, that se loves him, she never stopped and he feels the same way about her. Dani reminds her that its not what he’s telling Hayley and Brodie says he is going to tell her, he just needs the right time, that the last thing they want to do is hurt Hayley but she and Alex are just feel right. She knows it’d be easier for everyone if she just walked away but she can’t do that, not this time.
Brodie hopes that one day Hayley will understand and dani replies maybe, unconvinced. Brodie says she’s going for a walk to clear her head, gets up and leaves. Dani comments out loud that she can’t believe those two and Irene overhears and asks Dani what’s up. Dani suggests that it’s nothing but irene says one minute Brodie#’s leaving the next she’s not, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out. Dani asks why irene hasn’t said something and she remarks that it’s none of her beeswax but if Dani wants her honest opinion alex doesn’t deserver either of them. Dani asks if they should say anything to Hayley as she’ll be crushed but Irene says no, best to leave it or they’ll make it worse.
CARAVAN PARK HOUSE
Rhys says he doesn’t understand what Scott is trying to achieve and scott replies, some sort of comprimise because he doesn’t want any bad feeling. Rhys says he goes out with his daughter, that makes him part of the family and he can’t mess with that, that he’s trying to do this for the family to keep them all together. He suggests they try things his way for a few weeks and see how things go. Kirsty interrupts that Scott’s right, Rhys has to give Kane a go but Rhys gets angry and says that Kane is trying to bust the family up. Kirsty replies that Rhys is the one doing that, he’s the one driving everyone away, she says that Jade’s leaving too because she’s sick of it. Jade rushes off and Kirsty goes after her, Kirsty apologises but Jade asks how many times she’s covered for Kirsty and did Kirsty even stop to think how Dad would feel. Kirsty asks what about how she feels and how kane feels. Jade tells her just because she and Kane are in love doesn’t give them the right to walk over anyone who gets in their way. Kirsty repeats that she said she was sorry. Beth enters and talks to Jade, begging her to stay but Jade is adamant, she’s glad Beth has moved in and she’s glad she and Dad are so happy but she’s made up her mind, she’s moving out.
Seb meets up with Jade and asks whats up. Jade tells him that Kirsty told Dad about moving out. Seb asks if she still wants to move in wth him and she says she does if they can get the money together. He says hes saved a few hundred dollars, that it’s going to be great. Jade remarks that they still need to get the place and Seb says he’ll phone them. He can’t believe that they’re doing this, they’re going to be living together, he thinks its going to be so great and he really thought that his life couldn’t be any better. Jade looks unconvinced.
Hayley heard that Brodie is planning to stick around. Brodie suggests that they should try and sit down and talk about stuff and Hayley says she’s been thinking the same thing, Brodie apologises for everything that’s been happening, Hayley says its over, she and Alex are fine so can they just forget about it. Brodie replies that she doesn’t think it’s going to be that easy but Hayley tells her she knows she didn’t try to hurt her and that Alex was messed yup but she just wants to forget about it and concentrate on the good stuff. She says she’s been thinking that Hayley, Brodie and Dani should get together tonight and catch up on old times, Brodie protests but Hayley asks Jesse if he’ll cover her 6am gym class. Jesse tells her he doesn’t get up that early for anyone but she begs him, she’s going on a girls night and Jesse relents but Hayley owes him big time. Brodie tries to protest again but Hayley says no arguments, hey’re going to have the best time.
Brodie enters and tells Irene she really needs to speak to someone. She says she and Alex are seeing each other and notices that Irene doesn’t look too surprised. Irene suggests she put two and two together. Brodie says the last thing she wants to do is hurt anybody and she knows its wrong. Irene tells her its never as bad as she thinks it is but Brodie insists that it is. When she’s with alex it just feels right but Hayley’s her friend. irene tells her that if she and Alex feel that strongly about each other, they’d be lying to themselves and to Hayley if they didn’t see it through. Brodie confides she never thought she could feel this bad and this good at the same time. Irene remarks that that’s love for you but the problem is that when you’re a kid nobody bothers to tell you about the bad bits.
Max is playing pool alone, Jade offers him a chocolate milk to cheer him up but Max doesn’t think so. Jade tells him to spill the beans but Max says she wouldn’t care, she tells him that’s rubbish. He says she probably knows anyway, she’s probably there laughing at how dumb he was and Jade asks what’s going on, she’s not going until he tells her. Max says that Colleen told him she wanted him to move in with her but she didn’t and instead of telling him she didn’t want to move in, she went to Aunty Beth and they came up with a plot to convince him not to move in. Jade’s sure it’s nothing like that but Max insists it was, he saw them talking about it. Jade suggests he talk to them but Max says there’s no point, its not like they care what he does anyway.
Colleen enters and tries to talk to Max, she asks what she’s done. He tells her she does, he lied to her. He thought she was his friend, he though she cared about him. colleen insists that she does but he says she thinks he’s a stupid little kid. He tells her she can forget about being a friend, he never wants to see her ever again and storms out.
CARAVAN PARK HOUSE
Max enters and Beth asks where he got to and he snaps that it’s none of her business. Rhys asks what’s going on and Max asks why she wants to know where he’s been, it’s not like she cares anyway. Rhys tells him to stop, he’s not going anywhere until he tells him what this is all about. Max threatens Rhys to stop him and rhys calls him to get back here now but Beth suggests he leave him, that there’s obvously something bothering him. Rhys says that doesn’t excuse the way he spoke to her and Jade asks have they even bothered finding out what’s wrong. Rhys replies he’s tried and Beth asks Jade if she knows whatit was about. Jade tells Beth Max overheard her and Colleen talking, Rhys says they were only trying to do the right thing but Jade tells him it didn’t work. Rhys tries to talk to her about moving out but she dismisses him. He remarks that its another family drama handled really well.
Colleen bemoans to Alf that Max doesn’t want to be her friend anymore and she doesn’t know what she’s done. The phone rings and Alf goes to answer it. It’s Beth for Colleen and Alf forces her to take the call. Seb enters and Alf remarks its good to see Seb with a smile and he tells Alf he and Jade have sorted things out. Colleen departs saying that Max needs her. Alf follows Seb into the kitchen and asks if he’s still planning to move out. Seb says they’ve looked at a place, it needs sme paint but he can afford it. Alf tells him he doesn’t have to rush into anything, that Alf doesn’t want him to move out. Seb says this isn’t about hurting him, he’s seventeen, he wants his independence and wants to be with Jade. Alf says he can be, he can have all the space he needs upstairs, he just needs to let Alf know when Jade’s coming over. Seb apologises but he feels this is something he feels he needs to do and Alf suggests theres nothing he can say but tells Seb if he ever needs anything he knows where to come.
CARAVAN PARK HOUSE – PATIO AREA
Beth goes to talk to Max. She tells him, she doesn’t blame him for being hurt but that she wasn’t lying about him being needed as part of the family. He says she still lied about Colleen and Beth tells him that it was wrong, they thought a little white lie might make things easier. Max says he wishes Colleen had just been honest with him and said she didn’t want him to move in. Colleen overhears and tries to explain to Max, that he’s the best friend she ever had. She says she should have been honest with him but she’s too set in her ways to share her home, Max refuses to believe anything she says but Colleen tells him she’s ld old to take care of him and he’s too young to take care of her. She says if he doesn’t forgive her she doesn’t know what she’ll do. Max says he’ll forgive her but he’ll never forget what she said.
Beth suggests leaving Kirsty and Jade, to sort things out for themselves, they’re old enough now to make their own decisions. Rhys thanks Beth for knocking some sense into him. Beth says that they’ve spent so much time on all the kid’s dramas that they’ve forgotten about the wedding, Rhys asks if there’s going to be a wedding. Rhys suggests tomorrow and asks why not. Beth says there’s not enough time but Rhys tells her they don’t need time they need each other, a celebrant and bingo she’s Mrs Sutherland. Beth asks if he really thinks they could do it tomorrow and he replies he’s game if she is. Beth laughs.
Dani suggests there must be some way of getting out of the night out. Scott suggests she should have told Hayley she was busy. Dani insists she tried but Hayley wouldn’t take no for an answer. There’s a knock at the door and Dani jumps up to answer it. Beth and Rhys come in and Rhys apologises to Scott, he says what he does with his business is his business. Scott asks what changed his mind and he says Beth talked some sense into him. Scott remarks that if he has Mum on his case he’d better accept his apology. Dani tells Scott that Beth has asked them to stay over at the house the night after and Scott jokes that they’ll have to face the gruesome twosome. Beth says they’re old enough to whip them into line and Rhys suggests they might even teach them a lesson and Scott consents that they can handle it. Dani asks if they’re going on a romantic gettaway and Beth says yeah, something like that.
Seb and Jade talk about moving their stuff in. Jade moans about wanting to move out of home. Seb asks if things at home were good would she still want this, she confides that she would maybe she’d want it a bit later after the HSC. She says it doesn’t change anything but it does for Seb, he wants her to move in with him because she wants to, not because of some family drama. Seb gets upset and leaves.
Irene asks Hayley about the night out, Irene suggests that she always thought Hayley and Noah would end up together. She says he reminds her of the first guy she ever fell for, Dave Richardson, she thought the sun shone out of him. Hayley asks what happened and Irene says that either she thought he was too good for her or that she doesn’t deserve him. She says instead she chose Mr Wrong and wonders what she must have been thinking. Brodie comes downstairs and Hayley compliments her, Brodie returns the compliment. Hayley says they best go and says goodbye to Irene, a forlorn Brodie exchanges a look with Irene as she leaves.
