Extended Summary

Brodie brings Wills journal to him, she doesn’t mention that Dani has read it. Later she tells Dani she gave it back to him, Brodie asks Dani what had Will written that was so bad about her. He hadn’t written anything about her at all, but there was pages and pages about Gypsy, that’s why she was upset. Dani asks Mitch if

Will is really over Gypsy, he says yes of course he is. Dani comes to the conclusion that Will wanted her to read his journal so that she would dump him now that Gypsy is single again. Will comes to Dani and asks if they can talk, she says yes because she has something to say to him and tells him that she thinks they should split up. Will says “Fine, if that’s what you want. I’d probably be better off without you the way you’ve been acting lately”.

The woman whose car broke down and asked to use Harry’s phone runs into him in the gym and apologises for running off but she was embarrassed when Joel walked in, she hopes she didn’t give him the wrong idea. He says it’s ok, but it did give him the wrong idea and he ended up breaking up with his girlfriend due to it. She apologises again but he says it was a blessing in disguise because he was looking for a way to break up with her anyway because she was too immature for him. He invites the woman back to his for a drink. She goes to dry off and he goes to make a drink, he also grabs the phone and dials the drop in centre, Gypsy answers, she hears Harry call to the woman asking about the drink and when Gypsy hears the woman’s voice she goes running back home. There is a knock at the front door so Harry goes to answer it, meanwhile the woman goes into the kitchen, Gypsy arrives, the woman pushes Gypsy out of the way and flees. Harry and Gypsy explain to Alf what has been going on. The woman is who has been causing all the trouble and making the mystery phone calls to Gypsy. Her name is Kirsten, Charlie’s ex-girlfriend. Charlie was killed in a car accident, she blames Gypsy for what happened. Joel recognised her from the party on the boat, once they had worked this out Harry and Gypsy had to tell everyone they had broken up so that she would hear of it and come back and try and make a move on Harry, then they could trap her.

Dani goes round to see Will, she wants to know why he wrote so much about Gypsy and nothing about her. He finally explains it all to her. He says he only writes in his journal when he’s unhappy, and most of the time when he was with Gypsy, she drove him up the wall. He also wrote in it when his dad died. Dani realises she’s been stupid, they kiss.

Alf tells everyone in the surf club that if anyone lives at the other side of the bridge, they better get going now before they can’t cross it because of the bad weather. Noah sets off, and sees Hayley, he tells her that she can’t go that way because the bridge is too dangerous, he tells her to go the other way with him but she won’t listen, she slips on some mud down a hill and is hanging off a cliff, she shouts for help to Noah, and he runs to her rescue and pulls her up. He takes her home, they get there just as Will is about to take Dani home. Noah warns them of the flooded roads and tells them the best route. The power goes out and Hayley asks Noah to stay, he says he will.
