Extended Summary

Adam is giving Alf a hard time while working in his store. Adam has some business ideas for Alf’s store and some ideas about the price for Alf’s stuff at the store. Alf is getting tired of Adam carrying on.

Sophie speaks to Pippa about Fin. Sophie thinks that Fin said no to the fostering suggestion which Pippa and Michael offered her just because she might feel she is betraying her mother even though Fin’s mum really doesn’t seem to care at all about Fin. Sophie will talk to Fin about it later.

Greg is in Alf’s store to shop some toilet paper. Adam suggests that he should buy more at the same time and thereby save money. Greg is interested in doing that. Adam is going ahead with his plans at Alf’s store even though Alf haven’t agreed to any of his plans!

Meg speaks to Julia about a letter she has written for Blake that he should read after she has died.

Meg explains that she was about to write one for Julia too but she hasn’t done that. Julia is feeling good about that since she thinks she could not have managed to read it anyway. Meg and Julia have a long and emotional talk with each other (music plays).

Sophie speaks to Fin about her mother. Fin gets a bit offensive. Sophie feels that Fin should accept Pippa and Michael’s offer about being fostered by them. Fin explains that she feels like she is betraying her mother if she would accept it even though her mum treats her badly. Sophie gets a bit angry with Fin and talks to Pippa about it.

Bobby comes into Alf’s store to buy some coffee for the Diner. He offers her a good deal with the coffee if she buys a lot of it. Bobby is happy about that even though she was suspicious at first.

Fin speaks to Bobby about her 15-year-old brother Damian. Fin says that Damian might come to Summer Bay to live with her soon.

Adam brings over Bobby’s order of coffee to the Diner. He thought Bobby wanted 50 cans as a weekly order. She explains that 10 cans are a weekly order for them and that Adam has made a mistake. Adam is worried about the mix-up especially as Alf does not know anything about it!

Fin apologises to Pippa for giving her and Michael a hard time lately. It seems as if Fin was about to accept Pippa and Michael’s offer about being fostered there but just then Fin found out by Sophie and Pippa that Damian had called earlier so Fin changes her mind again!

Blake dreams that Meg is well and is feeling OK again. In the dream he and Meg are swimming and they are kissing. All of a sudden Meg swims further out and then dives. Blake panics and calls out for Meg. Just then Alf wakes him up. Blake tells Alf about the dream.

Meg is ready to watch the sun rise one last time in her life. Alf, Simon, Blake and Julia are there too in Julia’s house. Alf carries Meg out to the car. Meg says goodbye to her mother. (Emotional music plays nearly all the time from here to the end of the episode)

Blake, Meg, Alf and Simon arrive at the beach to watch the sun rise. Blake and Meg sit by themselves while Alf and Simon will be doing some fishing.

Meanwhile, Julia is doing a lot of thinking in her house.

The sun rises and Meg and Blake watch it from the beach. Blake says, “Here it comes”. Meg says “Oh, the light. It’s so beautiful…” Meg dies in Blake’s arms.

Blake notices that Meg is asleep in his arms and says that she should just rest a bit. Blake says how much he loves her. Blake suspects that Meg might be dead. Blake gives her a light kiss on her face.
