Marilyn’s lavish gift is not what Adam expected. Grant is horrified to learn that Kim uses drugs.
Extended Summary
Ben talks to Carly in the kitchen. Ben is going out for a workout.
Kim phones the drug-dealer. She say she doesn’t have any money for him yet but she will pay him tomorrow, she says. She is desperate for more drugs.
Maz talks to Bobby and Ailsa about her arguments with Adam. Bobby and Ailsa tell her to stick up against Adam and don’t give in regarding the money situation. Maz feels bad.
Adam talks to Ben while he is working out. Adam explains that Maz said that he was only hanging around her because of the money she inherited. Adam are upset since he really likes Marilyn and that she is wrong in thinking that he is only being together with her because of her money.
Kim is out walking. She talks to Steven. Steven doesn’t like talking to her since she is doing drugs. Steven feels sorry for Grant.
Steven are thinking a lot if he should say anything to Grant or not about the drugs. Steven ask Bobby for advice but he doesn’t tell her what he really is meaning (that Kim are doing drugs).
Steven and Grant are out running on the beach. They talk about Kim as well. Steven can’t say anything about the drugs. Grant think that Kim’s only suffering from typical teenage problems. Steven feels bad since he know how bad the situation really is.
Grant talks to Kim at home. He says that she could move with him for the time being instead of just staying for a visit. She takes a chequebook from the kitchen table while talking to him without him knowing. She says she could be interested in living with him and going to school in Summer Bay as he suggested.
When he have left, she takes one cheque and phones the drug dealer and say that she have got the money. (Tense music)
Marilyn’s party starts at the beach house. A lot of people are there. Bobby, Ailsa, Maz, Carly, Ben, Alf and a lot more people is there. Bobby talks to Maz. Ailsa talks to her too. Adam isn’t there. Maz are worried if Adam will come back or not. She is upset. Bobby and Ailsa try to cheer her up.
Kim forges Grant’s signature and writes it on the cheque. She meets the drug dealer. He doesn’t take a cheque. He wants cash only so Kim will drop it in to a bank and give him the cash instead.
Steven sees them and tells them to stop. He recognises the drug dealer. Kim and the guy (Eddie) act innocent and say that they are only talking. They drive away in his car.
Bobby talks to Adam about how bad Marilyn feels. Adam is upset and feels hurt about what Maz said to him.
Bobby tries to fix things between Maz and Adam. Adam admits to Bobby how much he really loves Maz. Bobby convinces him to come to the party. He is ok with that after a while
Steven comes into the surf club while Grant is doing a workout. He will tell him about Kim.
He tells him that Kim is doing speed and that he is sure about it. Grant is shocked and angry at first but later realises that Steven is serious about it. Steven and Grant are looking for Kim. Steven tells Grant about the drug-dealer Eddie. Grant can’t really believe that his little sister are doing drugs and are upset about it.
Grant looks through Kim’s bag to look for drugs. (Tense music)
Adam comes to the beach house and enjoys the party. Maz are very happy to see him there. They hug and forgive each other.
Maz proposes a toast to Mrs Winston (the dead lady that Maz inherited the money from) with all at the party.
A guy comes to the party with Adam and Marilyn’s new microwave (the present for Adam).
Before Adam realised that the present only was a microwave, he saw the car the guy drove in and thought it was his present! (The car).
After a while Adam realises it is the box that is his present and that it is a microwave. He is happy for it and acts innocent when Maz asked him if he really thought she bought him a car!
Grant is home and is worried. Kim comes home. Grant acts suspicious and asks if Kim saw the Eddie guy. She is very worried. She acts as if she isn’t doing any drugs.
Grant looks through her bag and sees that she got speed in there. He is very hurt and angry. Kim is worried. (Tense music)
