The bar manager of the Rocket Club, Cindy seemed unimpressed with Martha when Cam gave her a job at the club, feeling she was out of her depth and unsuited to the job and the clientele.She gained a bit of respect to her when Martha responded to a customer trying it on by pouring a drink over him, although also warned her to call a bouncer next time.
She attended Martha’s flat warming party where she was impressed by Martha’s dancing.When Cam asked Martha to dance at the club, saying one of the girls had pulled out, Cindy helped guilt trip Martha into it by saying the staff wouldn’t be paid if she didn’t dance, then joined Cam in laughing at her naivety in falling for the story.When Martha was persuaded to take a regular dancing gig, Cindy visited her at the flat with some of her old dance costumes.She shocked Martha by mentioning she had an eight-year-old daughter, Crystal, and that her parents were fully aware of what she did and were okay with it.When Peter’s bucks party turned up at the club, she briefly spoke with Ric and Brad, who thought Martha was still on the bar staff, and told them she would be out soon.
She helped Cam pack the drugs he was selling into his sports bag in the office and, when she saw Martha trying to look in it, removed the drugs and replaced them with sports gear for Cam to show Martha and put her mind at rest.When Martha agreed to babysit Crystal for her, she was shocked to learn that Cam was Crystal’s father.Cam explained that he and Cindy had had a casual relationship and he had supported her with Crystal even though they weren’t together, which Cindy backed up.Cindy protested when the police carried out a drugs raid on the club, where the only drugs they found were in Martha’s bag.When the club’s major investor pulled out as a result of the raid, she chided Cam for planting the drugs(which Jack had tried to plant on him)on Martha instead of just getting rid of them.
She was shocked to see Cam with loan shark Terry Mitchell and to discover he had borrowed money from him to keep the club afloat.She supported his decision to pursue Lou Baines as an investor and was uncertain when he gave Martha time off for Beth’s funeral in order to keep her on side, delaying the meeting as a result.She also wasn’t keen with Cam letting Lou grope Martha during the meeting but after he assured her that he just wanted Martha to string Lou along until he got the signature, she went to see Martha and again persuaded her to go along with it by pointing out how badly she and the other girls needed the jobs.
She consoled Cam over his financial situation when he was unable to pay the staff.When the deal with Lou fell through and Cam set fire to the Rocket Club, Cindy was ready to give him an alibi until she learned Martha had nearly been killed in the fire.When Jack warned her she could be charged with obstructing an investigation, leaving Crystal without either parent, she made a statement against Cam.
