Extended Summary
Raffy turns up at the gym and tells Mason she wondered if he needed help. Mason suggests she wipe all the equipment and hose down the men’s changing room, forcing her to admit that she actually wanted some advice. She wonders what you should do if a friend’s doing something dangerous. Mason says if they won’t stop you should tell an adult. Raffy points out that’s what she’s doing; Mason agrees but says he can’t help her without more information. Raffy says to forget it. At the beach house, Bella paces before going back to the computer and telling Tommy she doesn’t know anything about him. Tommy asks what she wants to know and Bella remarks on hearing online horror stories. Tommy says they’re supposed to be mates and mates trust each other. He doesn’t respond any further.
Raffy returns home and is surprised to find Marilyn has only just got dinner ready. Marilyn explains that she was at the hospital; they’re keeping John in for observation for twenty-four hours. She asks if Raffy caught up with Bella; Raffy says she did but doesn’t give any further information. Marilyn says they’ll get an early night before the hospital appointment in the morning. Next day, Tori is on the phone to Jasmine, who is in the car with Robbo. Tori says nothing’s changed so Jasmine tells Robbo that the contractions are ten minutes apart, also changing Tori’s reassurances about meeting Robbo’s parents into them hating her. Tori ends the call; Justin asks if she’s going to tell Robbo about her hospital visit but Tori says the procedure went well so there’s no need. Justin goes to meet Raffy. Mason is working on his laptop and says he’s going to sort out his CV to apply for internships.
Robbo and Jasmine continue their journey. Jasmine considers stopping in the next town to buy a jar of jam or chutney for Tori. She then worries about how Robbo’s parents will react to her and if they’ll like her as much as Lauren. Robbo pulls over and says everything will be fine but they can turn back if she wants. Jasmine says it’s important to meet them. Some time later, they pull into the farm where Robbo’s parents Ian and Wendy are waiting for them. They greet Robbo with a handshake and a hug respectively. Robbo calls Jasmine over and introduces her; his parents respond to her, and the wedding invite she gives them, politely but with no real enthusiasm. They offer to take their bags in but Robbo says he and Jasmine will stretch their legs first.
Justin has met Marilyn and Raffy at the Diner. Raffy is on the phone to Ryder, telling him to concentrate on the assignment, and notes she doesn’t need him to come along just to watch her take a pill. Marilyn is packing a lot of food for snacks. They are surprised when Leah turns up, having returned early. She says she thought she’d better come back with Irene away and Marilyn busy with John, plus her family were driving her mad and she missed Justin a bit. Justin has to go with Raffy but says they’ll talk later. Outside, Raffy asks for a minute to talk to Bella. Bella says Tommy hasn’t spoken to her since she questioned him so now she has even less friends. Raffy says she’s sorry but Bella doesn’t believe her.
Bella goes home and returns to her conversation with Tommy, who still hasn’t responded. She says she’s sorry and won’t ask any more dumb questions. Tommy eventually answers but says she’s right and they shouldn’t be doing it. Meanwhile, Mason is telling Tori that this time he’s going to apply for internships everywhere, even if it means having to go to Woop Woop. He asks her for help, taking the laptop to her rather than letting her move.
Robbo and Jasmine walk through a field. Robbo points out a fence his brother and sister used to tie him to as a scarecrow and a dam they used to swim in. He notes he didn’t get back and see his parents enough when he was with Lauren and the kids and hopes to do things different now. Jasmine is happy to agree. Robbo tells her she’s standing in a cow pat. Back at the Morgan house, Tori and Mason are sending off applications. Justin and Raffy return; Marilyn stayed behind to see John. Raffy confirms she got her pill and says it was easier than Mason’s oil. Mason jokingly suggests listing his chemistry skills on his CV, getting mock horrified reactions from the others. Justin notes things were a bit chaotic; Tori says that’s down to her temporary replacement while the hospital looks for someone to take over.
Tommy suggests to Bella that he doesn’t know she is who she says she is. Bella offers to send him a photo, taking one with the laptop. She tells him to do the same and he admits that while she probably thinks he’s in high school he’s actually a 25-year-old teacher. Back at the Morgan house, Tori and Justin are surprised by a visit from Leah, since Marilyn arrived to take over the Diner. Mason heads off to work after telling Tori to ask Robbo when he’s coming back so he can reduce his shifts. Leah and Justin’s reunion involves a lot of kissing so Tori suggests she go outside and doesn’t seem much happier when the couple instead relocate to Justin’s bedroom.
Raffy chats to Marilyn at the Diner, saying she feels less foggy after just one dose. Bella comes in and Raffy says she’s sorry but wants her to be safe. Bella says she won’t speak to Tommy any more. When she gets home, she finds Tommy trying to get in touch. Bella says he lied to her but Tommy says she never asked. Bella asks if he talks to anyone else like this and Tommy says she’s special and smarter than she thinks. Bella recalls Simone used to say the same thing. She agrees to let Tommy help her.
Jasmine attempts to clean her trainers and Robbo suggests she wear some spare work boots. She joins him and his parents for lunch. Wendy asks when she met “Ryan”. Jasmine notes they were friends first and says it was before Tori became pregnant. The Shaws note Tori and Jasmine are friends, wondering how it will work when the baby’s born. Ian says he wouldn’t forgive someone who tricked him into fathering a child. He walks away and Robbo goes after him. Meanwhile, Leah and Justin are in bed. Justin says he missed her and Leah says she was surprised at how much she missed him. She told her parents about them: She didn’t intend to but her mother could tell from her face. She suggests the next step is for her to meet Ava. Justin looks uncertain so Leah hastily drops it.
Robbo and Ian load a ute up with wood and drive off. Jasmine offers to help Wendy but Wendy says that she doesn’t know how Jasmine crawled her way back into Robbo’s life but neither she nor Ian approve of her or the marriage. She walks away, leaving Jasmine stunned.
