Libby Fox returns to EastEnders later this month!
EastEnders has announced that Libby Fox will be heading back to Albert Square later this month, as Belinda Owusu reprises the role.
We already saw Libby in the 2027 New Year’s Day flashforward episode, but we now know that her return is just around the corner.
Having left Albert Square back in 2017, she returns to Walford to support her family in the wake of Denise’s (Diane Parish) recent blood cancer diagnosis, which arrived as part of last week’s special ‘The Night that Changes Everything’ series of episodes.

However, once Libby arrives, it becomes clear that Denise isn’t the only one needing help, with her sister Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) who struggling following Jordan’s accident.
Belinda Owusu says: “I am beyond thrilled to be back on the Square. Getting the Foxes back together has been such a joy, full of fun and nostalgia! It’s been 20 years since I first joined, so coming back has been like returning home!
“It’s a really great team and I’ve been loving my time here. Libby is coming home to support her family during a difficult time, and it’s been so wonderful stepping back into her shoes and becoming a Fox again.”

“Libby returns at a particularly emotional time for the Fox-Trueman family, and it’s clear that her family need her now more than ever.”
The New Year’s Day flashforward episode saw Max Branning (Jake Wood) prepare to wed a mystery bride, whilst waking up with another heavily pregnant mystery woman in his bed. However, preparations for his nuptials were disrupted when the police stormed in and arrested him.

Meanwhile, across the square, Jack (Scott Maslen) was caring for a baby named Ethan, with it unclear who the parents were. Ominously, Diane and Penny (Kitty Castledine) were nowhere to be seen.
