Finally, it has also been announced that Isla will be starring in 'Groupies', a recently announced comedy "set in the world of rock 'n' roll groupies." It's certainly a busy year for Isla!

After the shock sacking of disgraced star Matthew Newton, Kate Ritchie has replaced him on the popular radio station Nova FM. Although Kate has regularly appeared on Merrick & Rosso's breakfast show on the same station, this is her first presenting job in the industry.
She will be appearing with well-known comedian Akmal Saleh on the The Akmal Saleh Show with Kate Ritchie, a two hourly afternoon program that will be broadcast into Sydney & Melbourne. With three to five appearances a week, Channel Seven has already begun to adjust Kate's hectic Home And Away filming schedule, where Ritchie has been at the forefront after being viciously stabbed and left for dead.

Congratulations to Home And Away, which has taken out top spot in the Australian Ratings, for not one, but to nights. The ratings cemented H&A's gripping entrance to 2007, with averages of 1.4 million across the country. This is a well deserved feat and hopefully it will become a regular occasion

After only one night, the opening credits have gone again, leaving us with only a picture frame-style recap.
It is not understood whether there will be a certain pattern to the credits appearance or whether it will be a mismatch of sequencing like last years.

Home And Away had a roaring start to 2007 last night with a peak audience of over 1.75 million and an average audience of over 1.53 million viewers tuning in nationally.
The Aussie drama, now in it's 20th Season, scored well in most capital cities, and came in 2nd place behind Today Tonight nationally. These are the capital cities average ratings:
Adelaide - 153,000 Sydney - 478, 000 Perth - 208,000 Brisbane - 276,000 Melbourne - 416,000
After last year's shock cliffhanger, where long time Summer Bay resident Sally was stabbed and left for dead, viewers were enthusiastically awating her fate, hoping it was revealed in the season premiere. But alas, Sally (Kate Ritchie) spent 1 half of the episode unconcious and the other on an operating table. Sally's is still fighting for life when Home And Away continues tonight on Channel 7.

Home and Away returned to Australian screens today, and brought with it a brand new title sequence. The titles feature an altered photograph theme, and for the first time in Home and Away's history, there are no actor or character names featured.
The new title sequence also brought with it a new theme tune, performed by Israel Cannan, who previously played Wazza in the show.
The titles have received a mixed response over on our forum, with a number of members disliking the new vocal arrangement. Join in the discussion.

"Home and Away : The Romances" and "Home and Away : The Weddings", two special DVDs released in Australia in late 2005 and early 2006, are to be released in the UK.
Play.com and Amazon.co.uk originally listed the two DVDs as one item, 'The Romances and the Weddings'. It now appears they are being sold as two separate items, with both Play.com and HMV.co.uk listing them this way. However, Amazon.co.uk still lists the two DVDs as one item, so how the situation will pan out is currently unknown.
Even the release date isn't yet confirmed, with Amazon and HMV.co.uk listing the DVDs as being released on the 22nd January, and Play.com listing them as being released on the 5th February.
If you're willing to risk all the confusion, you can pre-order the DVDs from the following websites:
Amazon.co.uk

Play.com

Home and Away : The Weddings
