Summer Bay Heats Up as Finale Approaches

This year, Summer Bay will be bombarded with drama as Home and Away airs blockbuster penultimate and finale weeks with a movie-length, triple episode finale on Wednesday 9th December. This follows last year’s suit with the finale falling in mid-December, instead of the usual last week of November.

Behind the scenes, this season saw Louise Bowes leave her role as Series Script Executive after 4 years, after being appointed as Network Script Executive. She was replaced by Dan Bennett, the man responsible for the Summer Bay Stalker storyline. Lucy Addario and Gary Sewell continued on as Series Producer and Script Producer, respectively. Romina Accurso left her position as co-Associate Script Producer, leaving behind Hamilton Budd in the sole capacity. Faith McKinnon returned to the series as a Story Consultant.

Monday, 7th December (Episodes 6344 & 6345)
Phoebe breaks up with Ash. Josh tells Andy that he should have let him die. Kat breaks down and tells Ash she thinks Denny’s dead. Olivia tells Hunter about her history.
Tuesday, 8th December (Episodes 6346 & 6347)
Ash and Billie reunite. Charlotte tells Hunter the truth about Denny.
Wednesday, 9th December (Episodes 6348, 6349 & 6350)
Leah and Zac finally tie the knot! Charlotte threatens to reveal everyone’s secrets at Leah and Zac’s wedding ceremony! In the middle of the night a gun is fired… the night will end in tragedy.

With Oscar already set to be lost at sea, Irene set to face a dark secret from her past, and Denny’s body to be uncovered during a large storm, the finale week will also feature Billie’s unexpected return, Olivia’s revelation of her molestation to Hunter, Phoebe and Ash’s break-up, and Leah & Zac’s wedding, which will be interrupted by Charlotte. And, as the season draws to a close, someone will be shot.
