suzannelgnz Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 My birthday was pretty crap to say the best, the morning was pretty normal for a Sunday, church and a bit of a chit chat afterwards. But this afternoon I was supposed to be working but when I arrived at work my supervisor was like "what are you doing here?" so I said that I was supposed to be working, etc.... so we went to the prep room to look at the roster as I knew it, and they had ordered 2 afternoon temps to replace me and even though I was at work on Thursday, nothing was said (so I'm not even sure if my contract is continuing (it's a 3 month contract which I'm about half way through)). So I walked to get a number 3 bus home, so I could basically do nothing because I have nothing planned since I was supposed to be working until 9pm (and I wouldn't have been home until after 10pm).It just feels really odd not being at home for my birthday, not having a cake, or even getting all of my pressies. I couldn't even talk to Oma earlier because my younger bro phoned me on my Cellphone on the way to work but the air con on the airport flyer was so loud I couldn't hear anything I just hope that I don't have to go to Kaiwharawhara on Wednesday to pick up his pressie because it's extremely inconvienient. Oops how could forget the 7:45am wakeup call from Mum and Dad because they wanted to go take the rubber duckie out on Lake Dunstan.
adellejefferiesxox Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Well if it makes you feel any better I didn't celebrate my 16th birthday with a party, didn't get any presents. All my friends always forget my birthday, they simply say happy birthday and that's it. I didn't have a birthday for my 17th birthday. I didn't get celebrate my 18th. And yes I'm sad, but what can I do? I'm not a drinker.... So I didn't want to celebrate my 18th that way..... I use to people forgetting my birthday, getting no presents. Not even from my mum. So that's my depressing story. But now I witness alot of children's birthday parties (because of work), even ran a few. So I'm over birthday parties. But I would love presents lol.

I was the same for my eighteenth! Did pretty much nothing because I'm not a partier or a drinker! I got sweet prezzies though. my moan: I have no idea where I stand with my best mate. We're meant to be catching up tomorrow but I tried to arrange a time and place to meet but she went cold on me. No clue what's going on!

defying_gravity Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 well my last 3 birthdays have been while ive been doing productions and one of them was spent being killed doing the most ridiculous choreography of my life so i was too tired to party that night, the next was spent at rehearsal massively hungover and the last one was spent in tech rehearsal which is the most boring rehearsal ever! i'm bored and have nothing to entertain me...mum just came and yelled at me for tap dancing in the kitchen at 1.30 in the morning haha

I honestly don't know WTF possessed them to to this when they never exhibited such behaviour.

What a load of BS.... They had one person in the waiting room... So now i have to wait another 2 weeks Annnnnnnd to top it all off, i got my finger jamed in the car door today... it hurt soooooo bad, i burst into tears and it was bleeding and now it's all swollen
