Dan F Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Mez and baby appear to be fine thankfully - was talking to her as it happened and she was knocked offline, but managed to update later via her phone. Obviously left without power and lots of smashed stuff now. Kat's far away at the top of the North Island at the moment. Hope everyone else here and their loved ones are OK!

The Cathedral has been severely damaged and there has been reports of multiple fatalities. My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the quake.

But my sympathies and thoughts all go to the BTTers and their families, everyone who lives in Christchurch. You are all in my prayers. And I am posting on my friends' Facebook walls because they live in Christchurch-so I hope they are all okay.
Mez83 Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 We're all fine. Pleased I had this week off work. House is a tip. Broken glasses and food everywhere. We have some damage to the house but it doesn't look too bad. Thankfully I'd just put baby in the highchair so I could just push him to a doorway where all 3 of us stayed!

They are both fine,Lise lives 5 hours south in Dunedin and Mira is at the top of the north island. The situation has now been upgraded to a national state of emergency.
matticus01 Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 after watching the news I was so worried about everyone who lives in nz... but then watching today tonight last night there was a clip of someone who looks like Lincoln Lewis carrying a girl away from some buildings on his back.... Its sad to see everyone going through this :|
