For those wanting to send to older cast members (from the last couple of years anyway), I would suggest just writing to the normal Home and Away address as the fan mail should be passed on. Here are scans of my recent successes:
-
Good luck with your letter to Tessa but I wrote to her and she never replied. I haven't ever see a reply from her. Good luck with the rest of your replies! I've written to loads of them, and my list s far goes: Esther Anderson (Charlie) Luke Mitchell (Romeo) Lyn Collingwood (Colleen) Ray Meagher (Alf Stewart) Amy Mathews (Rachel) Rebecca Breeds (Ruby) Emily Symons (Marilyn) Lisa Gormley (Bianca Scott) Writing fa mail is ridculously addictive!
-
I'm so jealous!! Have you written to Emily Symons? I've written to all 5 of the new cast members plus Shane Withington who plays John Palmer, but only received Lisa Gormley thus far. Still no scans though !!! Btw, I take it you mean 4. You have 3 so far and are waiting for the Scott family to reply?
-
Nobody like Lisa Gormley then? Has anyone else written to her/received a reply?
-
My sister rang last night to tell me I received a fan card and letter from Lisa Gormley in the post! I am absolutely thrilled, I didn't think she'd reply, I really can't wait to see it in two weeks when I'm home!!!! I will scan it on here for all to see. From the sounds of things Lisa really appreciates her job at Home and Away. In the letter she apparently describes her workplace as a 'magical' environment. What a wonderful woman.

Thanks Em! Yeah, well, I haven't seen it yet, because I've recently moved to Germany and it arrived at my parents' address, but my sister opened it and apparently it's a fan card and Emily has written: "For Edward, With love and thanks, Eily Symons" - she's the person I'd least expect to receive one from, I've never heard of her replying before! I will scan in two weeks when I'm home
-
Shame you can´t scan it but congratulations! Today I received a reply from Emily Symons! When I got the letter I was expecting it to be Samara but it was good old Maz!
-
Yes, I'd reall appreciate scans!
-
Thanks for the post, Yellow. Really appreciate it as I´ve been checking for updates in this thread for weeks! I really hope I get replies from the cast I wrote to, do you by any chance have any scans? I´d love to see the Sid one as I haven´t seen it yet! What did Samara write in her letter?

Thanks for the explanation, Dan. I can now archive my episodes with the correct dates. Cody - surely they won´t take off the episodes now? I´m so thrilled to now have the entire 88 season archived, its brilliant! I hope we get through 89 unscathed and I´m so curious about what´s going to happen come the 1990 season but fingers crosses we´ll get that too...
-
Have there been any hnts that 89 won't be starting on Monday or is it scheduled as planned? Also, why does the year end on episode 228? I don't get why it doesn't finish at 230?!

Thanks for the heas up, re new fan cards. Congrats on your reply, Jamie - the cards look great!!

Does anyone know what Sandie Lillingston (Stacey Macklin) has done in recent years? It says on Wikipedia that she hasn't done any acting since 1994!

I think the problem with Floss and Neville is that they just haven't used them particularly well. I did enjoy their story with Ben and Scott(?), in fact probably more than a lot of the things that have happened since. In my personal opinion Roo is the weakest link in the cast, maybe not character-wise because I think they've written Roo pretty well, just Justine seems like the weakest actress. Floss and Neville are both very likeable in my view, which makes them work as characters. Like Alexx says, they bring a certain positive energy to the show, I think it's just comforting to know they're 'there', sort of like grandparents you can turn to for advice.

These episodes have been absolutely great, I've just had a repid catch-up. I'm so so glad that Martha's now been put up for adoption because IMO Roo is the weakest link of the current cast by a country mile and now that I've watched the stories so rapidy I've begun to realise that. One thing I have noticed is that since the episode in which Bertram drinks coffee at the store, the community feel has started to take on a magical feel, which wasn't there in episodes before. It just feels like everyone has their place and a role in the community, and I think that's great. I have to admit I'm a little bit disappointed that the early years relied so heavily on guest cast - I know Home and Away has had a tendency to do that even in recent years, take 2007 for example, but Stacey, Phillip, and particularly Narelle are all really fantastic characters. Colleen is another gem, I loved her interaction eith Donald a few episodes back. I also think Floss and Neville have a strong presence in the bay even when they're not doing much. They are among my favourite characters, severely underrated!

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows where I can watch the interviews with the new cast other than the Seven website? Those videos don't seem to be loading and I can't find any on You Tube. Thanks in advance.

I can't believe there's only 30 episodes left until the 1989 episodes start! We're flying through them at an alarming rate! Awesome though. I'm really concerned we won't get to see 1990-96 though.

I just sent off letters to Lisa, Shane, Robert, Samara, Charles, Rihannon and Erin Mullally from Neighbours.
-
Congrats people! Loving the Lucas photos Jamie.
-
Ah thanks Jamie, and congrats on receiving Isabel Lucas through the post, can´t wait to see her cards! She´s stunning, I´m tempted to write to her myself.
-
Out of interest where have you seen replies from these actors? I can only see the replies posted above! Congrats on your new fan cards, the Luke Mitchell one is great, he´s a lovely guy! I´ve just written to Robert Mammone (Sid), Shane Withington (John) and Rihannon Fish (April). I´ll let you know if I hear anything back.
-
Congrats Jamie, that's an awesome reply! She looks totally stunning on that photo, miss Amanda!

Dexter Walker - Tom Green & Charles Cottier
Skylover replied to Jen's topic in Character/Actor Discussion
I love the new Dexter. He's so likeable and such a unique character. I fear there's a danger of mking his character too much of a parody, but at the moment Ithink they've found a good balance. He's hot too -
Wow Red Ranger, you are very knowledgable, how did you know all that? Thank you so much, really really appreciate it!! And from a fellow Norfolker too!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew the episode numbers for the arrivals and departures of the following characters: The Walker family, Romeo, Liam and Gina. Thanks in advance!
