Levi confronts Bree. Remi takes a stand. Eden learns the truth.

Extended Summary

Dana is at the counter in Salt and tells Xander about how calm Bree was when she came out and how she told Levi no hard feelings. Xander suggests she might simply be relieved it’s over but Dana thinks there’s more going on. John appears at the bar next to her and says he knows Bree’s tribunal was today. He initially insists he won’t reveal his source but when they clam up, he says it was Marilyn. Dana says nothing’s been decided. John retreats and they resume the conversation.

At the Lyrik house, Levi is angry at what Bree’s done. Bree says they could have sorted things out between them. Levi isn’t even sure what allegations have been made. Bree says she had everything under control until he came in and undermined her. Levi says she’s supposed to be a doctor and own her mistakes. Remi ushers Levi out then turns and glares at Bree, who insists she’s done nothing wrong.

Tane and Perri arrive back from the city. Tane notes Cash must be on night shift. Perri isn’t convinced Jane will be ready in two weeks. Tane thinks Jane has already proved herself and says going through the history of abuse gives her the argument for self-defence. Perri protests they’ve already tried that and Tane says she’s the lawyer.

On the balcony at Salt, Eden asks Abigail what she meant about her being the problem. Abigail wonders where Levi is and mocks Eden being the perfect sister, saying Tim didn’t tell her anything she didn’t already know. At the bar, Xander tells Dana he’s just got details of a uni assignment where he has to come up with a business plan that shows a company’s philosophical values. Dana protests the only value is to make money. John chimes in from his table, saying the juice bar’s profits go into the surf club, which benefits the community. He offers to help out in return for a free meal but Xander says Dana will help him. Levi turns up and says they’ll have to scratch the drink, explaining about Bree making out he’s the problem. Abigail comes up, telling Levi to keep Eden away, and Eden walks out, saying Abigail is all Levi’s. Levi tells Abigail to stay put.

Levi follows Eden down to the surf club. Eden says things were fine but Abigail’s had an issue with her since she left counselling and refuses to say what it is. Eden refuses to wait around while Levi talks to Abigail, saying she’s going home. Back at the Lyrik house, Remi accuses Bree of deflecting and asks what would have happened if Levi hadn’t turned up with Alf. Bree insists she’d have sorted it. She says Remi should support her and he says she’s making it impossible. Eden arrives home as Bree is saying Levi’s arrogance is threatening her career. Bree ends up walking out.

Remi goes after Bree and tells her she’s lying about a friend to cover a mistake. Bree is shocked he’s on Levi’s side. Remi says what she’s doing to Levi isn’t on and he saved Alf’s life. Bree says Remi should support her. Remi says he’s always had her back but what she’s doing is wrong. He walks away. Back at Salt, Xander suggests to Dana that they brainstorm tomorrow. Dana is surprised he actually meant it rather than just putting John off. On the balcony, Levi tells Abigail that Eden’s upset and asks how the session went. Abigail says it was useful and that Tim’s helped her realise her family abandoned her. Levi thinks she means him and their dad. Abigail says Eden abandoned her for Remi and Kirby; she used to blame them but Eden made the choice knowing how lonely she was. She refuses to talk more.

Remi heads home and wonders why Eden needs a drink as much as him. Eden says it wasn’t the day from hell but warm enough to burn…and, for once, not because of Cash but because Abigail suddenly hates her. She notes Tim seemed cool so it’d be a shame if he said something. Remi says Bree made a mistake at work and won’t take responsibility, so has told the tribunal it’s Levi’s fault.

Next morning, Remi meets with Bree in a park area. She tells him she spent all night lying awake thinking about what he said and that she doesn’t recognise herself. She says she’s going to meet with the tribunal, clear Levi’s name and take responsibility. She says she hopes that means Remi will have her back again. Remi offers to come with her and she agrees.

Xander and Dana are kissing on the beach and note they didn’t get much done last night. John pulls up next to them in the buggy and reminds Dana she has a lifesaving shift soon. Dana says she’s already spotted two rips and John calls her a credit to how well he taught her, which Xander calls a compliment to himself. John notices Perry sitting further along and Dana says Tane’s fighting for him. Tane approaches Perry who says the police called: They’re releasing Carl’s body. The two of them head home; Perry isn’t sure what to do. Tane says he could let the state deal with it or they could make arrangements. He says he’ll support Perry but it has to be his decision.

Levi and Abigail are eating at Salt and Abigail agrees to continue counselling. Eden comes over wanting to know what Abigail’s problem with her is. Abigail walks off saying she has to go to work. Eden tells Levi they need a new counsellor. Levi says Abigail has abandonment issues. Eden wants to set her straight for rewriting history but Levi tells her Abigail thinks Eden didn’t care how lonely she was, which gives Eden pause. Levi suggests they let the counsellor do his job, before heading off to work.

At the hospital, Bree emerges from the tribunal and tells Remi she withdrew her accusations. Remi asks what that means for her but before she can answer Levi appears. He says he was hoping to avoid Bree but she promises him she’s told the tribunal he did nothing wrong. Levi heads in, confused. Bree tells Remi she’s on leave. Remi thinks it’s so she can sort herself out but Bree insists there’s nothing to sort, triumphantly noting they can’t suspend her if she’s not there.

Perry gets more and more agitated as he tells Tane he can’t make a decision when he’s the reason Carl’s dead. Meanwhile, Bree arrives back at the Lyrik house with Remi, airily suggesting they go to Asia. Remi is utterly confused as she says the tribunal accepted her explanations, the case is closed and she fixed things for Levi. Remi calls it the easy thing to do. Bree offers to go and see her counsellor and is confused that he’s not proud of her. Remi says nothing will change if she doesn’t take responsibility.
