Extended Summary

Dana follows Xander away from the surf club, wondering what he hopes to achieve by going to see Cash. John is standing nearby and advises Xander against going to see Cash, saying he has a lot on his place today. Meanwhile, Eden is sitting at home, having changed out of her work clothes. Cash knocks on the door and apologises. Eden comments on him finding new ways to hurt her. Cash says it was never about hurting her, and says if she still wants to meet Michelle, Michelle wants to meet her.

At Salt, Xander gives Dana a drink and she has to insist he put a cherry in it. He admits he’s not enthusiastic about the job today. Dana agrees it’s not fair but suggests he’s on a new path now. Rose comes in and, seeing Xander is down, wonders if she walked in on something. Dana says Xander isn’t arguing with her but might be with Mack. At the Diner, Justin arrives and rejects a call from Claudia. He takes a coffee and muffin from Leah then has to answer another call. Marilyn asks Leah how she’s going with plans for the anniversary. Leah tells her and Alf she’s planning to redo the proposal.

While Xander works behind them, Dana is explaining to Rose about Mackenzie buying Cash’s share. Rose can understand Cash being confused but not Mackenzie. Dana adds that Xander at least seems keen to own his own business. Rose notes he seems more like the old Xander and he hasn’t been this keen about his future and career since he left the ambos. Dana concludes that means she should support him.

Cash takes Eden back to see Michelle. They exchange awkward introductions and Michelle says she’s also one or two parts Felicity, before realising that’s a dumb thing to say. Eden says it’s perfect and Flick would have loved it, noting they’re all lost without her. Cash walks out and goes into the back garden, struggling to breath again.

Leah tells Marilyn she’s going to get Justin’s favourite music and meal set up. Marilyn tries to give her advice and Alf suggests leaving her to it. Justin turns up but instantly gets a phone call. Leah goes to take supplies to the coffee cart. Marilyn eavesdrops as Justin talks, presumably to Claudia, about having stuff to do tomorrow afternoon and the day finally being here. Marilyn tells him she knows he’s planning a surprise for the anniversary. Justin agrees and asks that they keep it between them. After he’s gone, Marilyn worries to Alf that Justin and Leah’s plans will clash.

Cash comes back inside, where Eden is telling Michelle about how the band came to town and stayed at the house. Cash says Felicity’s husband wasn’t a fan, which is the first Michelle has heard of her being married. Michelle asks if Cash was living there then and he says he moved in later. Eden talks about Felicity getting them gigs at Salt and Cash explains that’s the restaurant she co-owned. Michelle asks to go there and Cash agrees to drive them.

Soon after, at Salt, Eden chats to Michelle about Felicity’s favourite pizza. Xander is serving Cash drinks and asks when he was going to tell him about selling to Mack. Cash says he didn’t know he had to and it’s not the time. He rejoins the others and they drink a toast to Felicity. Michelle wonders why the others aren’t talking to each other. Cash says this is where Felicity collapsed and Eden says it was their engagement party but they’re not engaged anymore. Cash is annoyed and walks out. Eden tells Michelle it’s not her fault.

Michelle follows Cash outside, noting she’s having a work out today. Cash says he’ll be back up in a moment to order. Michelle asks why he and Eden broke up. Cash says everyone he’s close to gets hurt and he’s trying to keep her safe. Michelle says she knew she’d only live if someone else died, but she’s trying to live life to the full and she hopes Cash can do the same.

Back at the Morgan house, Leah and Justin try to probe each other about what they’re doing tomorrow. Marilyn turns up and explains that they’re both make secret plans for tomorrow and she thinks they should compare notes. Leah is delighted while Justin tries to go along with it and says it’s a surprise. At Salt, Xander tells Dana that he only spoke to Cash when the opportunity presented itself. John arrives and Xander says he was there with Eden and another woman. John explains the other woman is Felicity’s transplant recipient. Xander realises he messed up. Dana points out to him that he only likes the events side of things at Salt so should focus on that instead of owning half of it.

Next morning, Cash and Michelle are packing the ute for a road trip. Eden comes over, having been texted by Cash. Michelle explains they’re going to see Gary and visit Felicity’s grave. She and Eden are glad they met. John also comes over and Cash introduces Michelle to him before the two of them drive off. At the Morgan house, Leah tries to get information from Justin about his plans. She says she was going to arrange something special there. Justin just says he booked a table at Salt, which surprises her since they go there all the time. Justin quickly makes an exit.

Later, at the Diner, Leah tells Alf and Marilyn she’s convinced there’s more to it and worries Justin’s plan is better than hers. She decides to find out when his booking is. After Marilyn and Leah have left him alone, Alf clutches his chest, feeling a twinge. At Salt, Xander tells Dana he’s realised she’s right. Dana suggests he plan Harper’s baby shower. Xander thinks it’s too early for that and wonders if gender reveal parties are still a thing. Dana is sure he can talk Harper into it. Leah turns up and asks Xander when Justin’s reservation is. Xander checks but says there’s no booking and he hasn’t seen Justin.
