Extended Summary
Leah and Justin are walking on the beach. Justin points out Leah has run the Diner without Irene before but Leah says that the film crew being in town has made more work, and Marilyn says there’s more to come. They wonder about Theo, who they haven’t heard from since his exam, just in time for them to spot him coming the other way. He says he’s just got back from his celebration. Justin promises to keep an eye on him.
Cash follows Remi round to the front of the villa and says he was a bit harsh. Stevie also appears and has a go at Remi for storming off, saying she never said he was her boyfriend. Remi says she’s been leaning on him and expecting him to help her through the film and he can’t deal with it anymore. He rides off on his bike. Cash follows Stevie back to the other side of the house and tells her that it was more about Remi struggling to process things with Bree. Stevie says she doesn’t need anyone anyway. Cash suggests communicating that to Remi.
Xander follows Dana through a park area, saying she’s making too much of this. Dana says first she’s clinging, now she’s dramatic, and asks if he really minds her hanging out at his. Harper appears and jokingly asks when Dana’s going to come home. Dana accuses her of rubbing it in and walks off. Harper convinces Xander to let her deal with it.
At the Morgan house, Leah finishes off the rosters and prepares to head into work, leaving Justin to catch up with Theo. She says a brief goodbye to Theo before she goes. Theo just wants to sleep but Justin suggests beer and pizza and inviting Remi over. Theo says he had him at pizza.
At the Lyrik house, Remi admits to Eden that he didn’t need to be that harsh with Stevie. Eden thinks he was right to request space and also needs to work out how he feels about Bree. Stevie chooses that moment to turn up. Eden says it’s not a good time but Remi says it’s okay so she heads over to Cash’s. Stevie acknowledges she’s been melting down over the film but says she likes hanging out with him. Remi says he can’t give her what she needs. Stevie leaves, looking upset once she’s outside.
Leah checks on Marilyn at the coffee cart. The place is now quiet and Marilyn says the film crew are making the most of their last day before starting work. Leah ponders getting extra staff on when the film crew are about. Marilyn offers to help with that, since she knows their schedule, and also says they’re going to need to reorder or they’ll be out of stock by next week.
At the Newman house, Cash and Eden discuss Remi and Stevie’s issues before he offers to take her out to dinner. Stevie suddenly appears, saying Remi doesn’t even want to have a fling with her. She realises she’s intruding and goes to leave. Cash invites her to join them for dinner, quietly telling Eden he’ll make it up to her.
At the Diner, Leah notes Marilyn has rostered herself on for her days off. Marilyn says she’ll be happy to help out while Irene’s away. Leah checks on Harper and Dana, wondering what Dana meant by “extra cheese”. Dana says she wants all the cheese Leah’s got. She tells Harper that she’s going to dump Xander before he dumps her. Harper says that’s a terrible idea, since Dana likes him and he likes her. Dana refuses to talk to him, saying she’s going to get her takeaway and hide away at home. Harper goes up to see Xander and he admits asking for a bit of space. Harper says Dana really likes him and Xander says he likes her a lot. Harper recalls how once, in high school, Dana climbed through a guy’s window to give him a love note and ended up in the ED. She offers to talk to her again tomorrow.
At Salt, Stevie drunkenly tells Cash and Eden she had a stalker then got dumped. Cash reminds her she has an early start tomorrow. Xander appears and Stevie asks him to make a special cocktail for her and call it the Scream Queen. Cash decides to call it a night and goes to pay the bill. Stevie apologises for crashing. Eden says she just wanted time with Cash. Stevie says she moved the film there because Cash didn’t want to leave Eden, then realises Eden didn’t know and tells her Cash loves her.
Justin, Theo and Remi finish a guitar session. Justin notes it’s a far cry from dating a movie star. Remi says they were from different worlds. Theo suggests getting a raise now he’s qualified, before he and Remi set up on the Playstation. Leah comes home and declines to join them, preferring to go to bed. Justin quietly tells her Theo’s going to be all right.
Cash and Eden arrive back at the Lyrik house, discussing how Stevie is handling things. Eden asks Cash if it’s true about him not wanting to leave her. Cash says she’s his number one priority. Eden says he’s good at his job and she doesn’t want to get in the way of that, before offering to “make it up to him”.
Next morning, Harper escorts Dana to where they’re due to meet Xander and leaves them to it. Dana apologises for overreacting. Xander says he didn’t want to make her feel unwelcome, he just needs time on his own sometimes. He suggests they hang out now. Dana has to go to work but suggests they meet up at her place later on.
A short time later, Dana meets Harper at the Diner and admits Harper was right, also saying Xander’s coming over after her shift, which is a first. A woman looks at photos of Harper and Dana on her phone, then goes over and checks their identities before handing them both envelopes. Harper realises they’ve been served. The woman says they’ve been subpoenaed to give evidence against Tane.
Cash turns up at the Lyrik house and asks Eden if Stevie came to see Remi: She’s not at her house or answering her phone. He thinks she was upset about Remi, since letting someone into her inner-circle is a big deal. He heads across the road, leaving a phone message to Stevie, only to find her there waiting for him. She says she’s not doing the film: She’s not a real actor and she can’t.
