Extended Summary
Kirby and Bree are walking towards the surf club. Kirby wonders about Bree’s plan to have new experiences. Bree isn’t sure about specifics so Kirby suggests a night out and finding five hot men. They see Remi greeting Stevie, who has arrived in a van with Nelson and two other people, Paulo and Lottie. Bree claims it doesn’t bother her but does walk back the other way. Stevie tells Remi she’s had an incredible idea and needs his help.
Inside, Alf comes out of his office and finds Roo standing there. She tells him she heard everything he said, including his reference to her little projects. Alf tries to say she was mistaken, then notices Stevie surrounded by fans and wonders what that’s all about. Roo is annoyed at him being so easily distracted and walks off, with Roo following. Stevie asks Remi to entertain Nelson and the others while she does something and he takes them upstairs to Salt.
Leah and Justin are about to head back to Theo with a pizza when they see Remi bringing his guests in. Justin and Leah thank him for helping Theo. Justin asks about his new friends. Remi promises he’s not starting a new band and Justin says his guitar’s ready if he is. Remi takes cocktail menus over to Nelson and the others and promises them Stevie said she wouldn’t be gone long.
Cash is on the phone to Stevie, telling her he hasn’t changed his mind. He opens the door at a knock, which is of course Stevie herself, who says she has a flair for the theatrical. She notes he doesn’t seem to be busy and convinces him to let her take him out for a drink.
Marilyn sees Alf and Roo arrive home mid-argument,. Roo says Alf is digging himself a bigger hole and Alf says everyone saw how cut up she was about the baby. Marilyn awkwardly says she’s about to go to work. Roo says she could stick around for Alf’s apology, except he never apologises. Marilyn takes it as a cue to leave. Alf says he’s sorry if Roo overheard something that upset her, which Roo calls “sorry not sorry”. She storms upstairs, suggesting Alf gets on the phone and complains to Martha again if he doesn’t like it.
Kirby and Bree arrive back at the Diner flat. Kirby wonders if Bree will just say she’s fine again if she asks why she’s so quiet. Bree insists she basically is fine and says she’s annoyed that she was bothered at all. Kirby says it’s always difficult seeing your ex with someone else, recalling her reaction to Valerie. Bree isn’t keen on going out now and says she has lots of wine and delicious food, all the ingredients for a girls’ night in.
Remi is telling Nelson and the others that the view from the lighthouse is amazing and his band shot a video there. Nelson asks if he’s selling Summer Bay or his band. Remi says the band are taking a break at the moment but assures Paulo it isn’t code for having split up. He declines Nelson’s offer of a job on the film. Stevie arrives with Cash, and Lottie comments that she always turns up with a handsome man. Cash wonders what’s going on and Stevie asks him not to leave as she does the introductions, explaining Lottie is the location manager and Paulo is the first assistant director. Taking Cash aside, she reminds him that he said he’d take the job if circumstances were different, so she’s brought the film to Summer Bay.
Later, Cash is at the bar as the others sit together. Stevie thanks Remi for his help but Nelson says they haven’t agreed to the move yet. Stevie approaches Cash and wonders what the problem is: He said he didn’t want to leave Eden, so she’s made it so he doesn’t have to. Cash says this isn’t his world and she doesn’t need security anymore. Remi comes over, wondering about the drinks, and Cash hands him the tray. Stevie tells Cash he can say yes in his own time.
Bree and Kirby go over the sort of man they’d want: Smart, funny and independent. Kirby says they’d have to leave the house to find one while Bree wishes they could order one online before saying she likes being in a movie star-free zone. At the Diner, Marilyn fills Leah in on Alf and Roo’s fight and the fact Roo wants to do fostering. She thought Alf was on board with it. Leah suggests she needs to let them work it out themselves.
Roo comes downstairs. Alf says he made some dinner and left some in the oven and Roo says she’s just there for a glass of water. Alf says he should have been upfront with her while Roo says she can’t unhear what he said. Alf says they all say silly throwaway things they don’t mean. Roo says she’s doing the fostering with or without his support.
Kirby emerges from her room just as Remi and Stevie arrive back discussing the film move. They kiss before Kirby alerts them to her presence. She asks to talk to Remi and Stevie says she’ll see him in his room. Kirby asks Remi how he thinks Bree will feel if Stevie sticks around for months. However, Remi insists that Bree’s fine with it.
Next morning, Bree and Kirby have finished an early morning surf. Kirby tells Bree there’s a chance Stevie is going to be filming in Summer Bay. Bree claims it doesn’t bother her. Kirby draws her attention to Nelson, who is sat on the beach with his camera. Bree calls him handsome but not her type, but can’t resist checking him out as they walk away which he notices.
At the Lyrik house, Remi asks Stevie if she’ll still want to film in the Bay if Cash doesn’t take up her offer. He says she should be straight with Cash. Stevie goes to get dressed. Kirby arrives back and Remi continues to insist that Bree is fine with everything. Kirby tells him Bree only said that to save face.
At the Diner, Roo ignores a call from Martha, telling Marilyn she’ll stop calling eventually. Alf arrives and, despite Roo asking for some peace, insists on sitting with her. He says he’s worried Roo will be hurt if she has to keep saying goodbye to foster kids. Roo says she knows that but is prepared for it. Alf apologises and agrees to help her.
Stevie goes to see Cash and tells him that she needs him: When you find someone you can trust in her industry, you don’t let them go, and she won’t forget what he did for her. Cash says he was just doing his job but Stevie points out he went above and beyond. She says she still doesn’t feel safe and the only time she does is when she’s with him.
At Salt, Cash and Stevie fill Paulo and Lottie in on the fact Cash has agreed to be her personal security. Remi joins them as Cash stresses it’s only while she’s in Summer Bay. Stevie admits Nelson hasn’t signed off on it yet but is confident. Remi seems to consider calling Bree. In fact, Bree and Nelson are on the beach together, having got a coffee and gone for a walk. Nelson asks Bree about herself and she says she’s a doctor before asking him about himself.
