Cash makes an enemy. Felicity is torn. Harper and Dana’s secret is sprung!

Extended Summary

Dana stands on the beach, looking out to sea. Harper is fretting when she arrives back at the house. Dana says she couldn’t stand being cooped up there any longer and argues that the place isn’t exactly full of cops. Harper still worries about someone seeing her. Dana wonders if there’s any news from Cash and Harper says she’ll check in with him later.

Eden is aghast at the idea of Felicity meeting with her attacker and even more at the fact Felicity seems to be considering it. Felicity says she thought she was getting over it but the phone call has brought things up and she feels she needs to do this. At the police station, Cash receives a visit from Detective Madden from the city, who invites him to call him Will. (Cash reciprocates with his first name.) Madden has heard Cash is looking into Dana’s case and wonders why. Cash is surprised Madden came all the way there to talk to him about it and Madden passes it off as an excuse to drive down the coast. Cash says he saw the arrest warrant and had questions about the case. Madden offers to listen.

Justin runs into Theo near the surf club, having just got to town. He admits that without an agreement, they can’t play the songs: Even the co-written ones need permission from both parties. However, he thinks this is an opportunity to make a new plan. Later, he suggests that they take advantage of the downtime to write new material. Theo says he hasn’t written a song on his own since he was a kid and doesn’t think he can do it without Kirby. Justin suggests he get Remi and Eden to help.

Cash tells Madden he spoke to Oliver Galvin, Dana’s boyfriend, and found him rather vague. He also spoke to the security guard who saw Dana at the hospital and learned the CCTV footage had been deleted. Madden dismisses it as a common fault but Cash says the IT company told him it’s never happened before. Madden argues that guilty people run and Cash says scared people run. He says he’s only interested in the truth. Madden says they could use more officers like him. Cash says his shift’s over unless there’s anything else. Madden says there isn’t but shows no sign of leaving. Cash leaves instead. Madden calls someone and tells them to dig up information on Cash.

Later, Cash is at home and leaves Harper a phone message. Felicity and Eden turn up. Felicity admits Jeremy Holding wants to meet with her and Cash realises she’s referring to restorative justice. Eden thinks Jeremy just wants to mess with her further and tells Cash to tell her it’s a terrible idea. Cash says if she’s not saying no outright, then she should consider it. He asks what Tane thinks and Felicity admits he doesn’t know. Eden says he’d agree with her. Cash says he’s known the programme to help people, although not victims of sexual assault, and it can provide closure. Felicity gets Eden to stop interrupting. Cash says he knows a social worker who could help explain it and Felicity agrees. He tells Eden to let Felicity make her own choice.

Harper tells Dana she needs to get back in the bedroom because Cash is on his way. Dana offers her a hot drink as a peace offering and apologises for going out. They discuss the area, then hear Cash and Felicity approaching, discussing the fact the social worker’s staying at Irene’s house. Dana gets out of sight and Felicity and Harper are introduced to each other. Cash notices the two drinks and Harper says she put the kettle on because he was coming. Cash leaves and Harper and Felicity go for a walk.

Justin sees Eden coming and encourages Theo to talk to her, thinking she’ll forgive him for wanting to go solo. Theo approaches Eden and tells her how the meeting with the lawyer went but she quickly ditches him to catch up with Cash. Cash tells her he left Felicity with Harper. Eden admits she’s worried about her. Cash says he is too but they can only help her make an informed choice.

Harper talks to Felicity about the programme. Felicity says part of her needs to know why it happened and the other part isn’t sure it wants to. Harper tells there’d be a facilitator there and she can bring a support person. She says sometimes the perpetrator feels guilt or remorse and they’re screened to make sure they won’t cause any more psychological harm to the victim; Felicity would be screened as well to make sure she can handle it.

They rejoin Cash and Eden near the surf club where Eden and Harper finally meet. After Felicity and Eden have gone, Cash tells Harper he spoke to Olly, who is sticking to his story, and the security guard who claimed to see Dana at the hospital. Harper insists they’re both lying and Cash agrees. He asks her if she knows where Dana is and says he thinks he’s got Madden onside, despite Harper saying he’d made his mind up before he even met Dana.

Justin comes home to find Theo playing video games. He encourages him to write music or at least practice his guitar. Theo thinks Eden and Remi aren’t interested. Justin says Remi just wanted to spend time with his parents. Theo disappears to his room. When he reappears later with his guitar, Justin gets his hopes up but Theo gives it back to him, saying Lyrik’s over and he’s done with music.

Cash returns to Felicity and Eden and doesn’t give any information about Harper. Felicity says she’s going to attend meetings in the city to start the process without committing to anything. Eden volunteers to go with her, promising to keep her opinions to herself. Cash gets a phone call from his sergeant asking him to come in.

Cash returns to the station in uniform, where Madden is waiting for him. Madden says he now knows Cash and Harper are friends and it’s against the rules to do favours for a mate. He maintains that Dana disappearing makes her guilty, along with her having drug priors, which he realises Cash didn’t know. He tells him to stay in his lane.

Harper tells Dana that Cash spoke to Olly. Dana wonders if he said anything about her other than that she did it. Harper wonders why she still cares and Dana says Harper can’t tell her what to feel. She storms through to the living area…and finds herself face to face with Cash, moments before Harper calls out to her by name. Cash asks the sisters to explain.
