Extended Summary

Jasmine and Cash are walking by the beach. Cash calls it weird that he’s gone from living in a caravan to moving in with Irene to them being on their own. He invites her to have breakfast with him before he goes to work. They have a long kiss before Jasmine pulls back. She gets a text and hopes it’s Xander but it’s a friend at the hospital. At the surf club, Millie laments to Xander that the accident was her fault. Rose appears (in uniform) and Xander reminds her who Millie is. Xander seems about to tell her about the accident but Millie interrupts, saying she wants some air and inviting him with her. Rose asks Xander about his first shift before he goes.

Xander chases after Millie who asks if he called Rose. Xander explains she’s his sister. Millie refuses to talk to the police, saying Jo’s family will hate her and she’ll lose her job. Xander points out Logan could be charged. Millie argues he was speeding and she might have had time to get back into her lane otherwise before accepting she was at fault and wondering what she’s going to do. At the Diner, Jasmine gets a text from Irene and tells Cash she’s coming home tonight before revealing she was joking. Justin comes in and asks Leah if she’s heard from Alf. They wonder how to help the family.

Alf and Marilyn change position so they have their backs to the clock. Jesse comes through and says Roo’s surgery went well and she’s in recovery. He says he’ll update them on Martha’s surgery. Alf still can’t relax. Meanwhile, Rose is waiting by the police car and takes the opportunity to look at a file that seems to have details of Nathan’s finances. Cash finally joins her and asks to drive but she refuses since he always makes jokes about her being too short and needing to adjust the seat. She asks if he knew Millie was out of hospital and he says Jasmine told him.

Millie argues that her owning up won’t change anything. Xander says it could change things for Logan who could be charged. Millie says if she’s charged she’ll lose her career. Jasmine comes along as Logan is asking if she can live with the secret. Millie leaves. At the police station, Rose looks up one of the companies in the file and learns it’s run by someone called Peter King. Cash appears next to her and she tells them Peter King is PK and has made several payments to Nathan. Cash says they can’t do anything unless Mackenzie makes a complaint. Rose gets back to it and Cash tries not to look at her.

Jasmine follows Xander down to the beach where he explains Millie called him wanting to thank him. Jasmine wonders why she was upset and thinks she should see a counsellor. Xander thinks she’ll work through it. At the hospital, Marilyn is watching Alf pace. Leah and Justin arrive and Alf gives them an update. Leah notes Marilyn said not to bring food but they left some meals in his freezer. Justin adds that he’ll do any jobs at the caravan park. Leah suggests they go for a walk but Alf doesn’t want to leave without seeing Martha and Roo. Leah suggests they stay and Alf agrees, saying it’ll be company for Marilyn.

Cash pulls up by Jasmine, who was contemplating calling Rose. Cash invites her for lunch. Jasmine is still worried about Xander’s investment in Millie but doesn’t want to say too much. Cash suggests talking to Rose about it. Meanwhile, Xander turns up at the police station. Rose sarcastically asks if he wants a chat, a cup of tea or her to rescue a cat from a tree. Xander asks if Logan’s likely to be charged. Rose realises there’s something going on with Millie and tries to get him to keep his distance, saying they’re not going through this again. Xander leaves.

Justin is looking at a car magazine and offers to get a fishing magazine for Alf. Jesse appears: Martha’s still in surgery but they can see Roo. Justin and Leah take their leave as Alf and Marilyn are shown through. Roo is in good spirits and they admire her. Meanwhile, Rose meets Jasmine and Cash outside the surf club. Jasmine tells her about her fears about Millie. Rose is rather abrupt in response, saying it’s up to Xander who he spends time with. Xander comes along and wonders if he missed an invite to family lunch. There’s an uncomfortable silence before Cash and Rose head to the station. Jasmine admits she’s worried about him and Xander says he’s got it under control.

Roo admits she’s hungry and Marilyn goes to get tea and biscuits. Martha is brought back and Alf checks on her. Jesse says the surgeon’s happy. Martha says she feels better than okay. Meanwhile, Leah and Justin are down the beach commenting on how Alf was. Leah gets a text from Marilyn saying Martha and Roo are both doing well. Justin prepares to go home and get changed but stumbles across someone lying in the sand a few paces away and tells Leah to call 000.

Millie meets Xander at Salt. He asks if she’s changed her mind about telling the police, saying if she doesn’t then he will. Millie says if he does, she’ll deny it and says he’s lying because he’s been hassling her: She knows he had an AVO taken out against him. Xander says that was a long time ago but Millie says the police will believe her over someone with history. Xander asks if she’s prepared to let Logan go to jail for her mistake and she says she doesn’t have a choice. He follows her downstairs and she threatens to call the police if he doesn’t stop following her. Xander asks what’s going to happen to Logan with the lawsuit. Millie thinks her having to live with what happened to Jo is enough.

Rose checks on the body, now covered in a tarpaulin, while Cash chats to Justin and Leah. Rose calls him over and reveals she’s found an ID: It’s PK.
