Extended Summary

Jasmine and Cash arrive at the caravan park, both exhausted from work. However, Xander challenges Jasmine to a volleyball rematch and she quickly agrees, saying her pride’s at stake. Soon after, Xander makes a serve which both Cash and Jasmine go for and miss. Jasmine suggests best of three or maybe touch footy. Rose arrives and Cash suggests she be on Xander’s side.

Justin and Leah arrive at the Diner and asks Irene if she’s seen Theo, explaining about Dimitri turning up. Justin says he can’t have gone too far, since his car and bag are still there. Irene suggests calling Ryder. At Salt, Dimitri tells Theo he’s always been straight with him and that Theo’s hard work. He says he was the same at that age but he’s turned his life around because of hard work and discipline. He says all families argue. Theo says not like them and he likes it with Leah and Justin. Dimitri says that’s because it’s easy and he’s just coasting. He argues that he could have reported Theo to the police for hitting him but didn’t because they’re family, and suggests a fresh start.

Roo arrives home with pavlova. Alf and Marilyn have organised dinner so Alf suggests Roo and Martha take the crossword outside. Martha is happy to do the crossword with Roo but insists on staying there. Meanwhile, Leah and Justin arrive at the surf club and are thrown to find Theo and Dimitri chatting amiably. Dimitri says everything’s sorted and there was no need for all the overexaggeration. After he’s gone, Theo tells Leah and Justin that Dimitri was different and maybe he was wrong about him.

Jasmine, Cash, Xander and Rose wander along the beach, chatting about what they’ve been doing while Rose has been gone. Xander sends Jasmine and Cash on ahead. Rose claims their mum is wondering when Xander’s coming back. Xander asks why he’d want to leave. Rose wonders what he’s doing and thinks it’s weird to find him and Jasmine getting on. Xander says it was Rose’s idea and Rose replies that Jasmine pushed them away and might do so again. Xander says he trusts her. Later, the four of them debate desserts at the Diner, Jasmine goes to the counter to order and chats to Irene about Rose being back.

Back at the Morgan house, Leah tells Justin she’s worried that Dimitri might suck Theo in. Theo joins them for dinner and gets a text from Dimitri inviting him for breakfast. Theo thinks he needs to meet Dimitri halfway. Leah warns him not to be emotionally manipulated and Justin says they just want him to be safe. Meanwhile, Alf, Roo, Marilyn and Martha have finished eating, although Martha hasn’t had much. Roo offers to make her an omelette but she says she had some snacks on the way there. She turns down dessert, going to lie down on the sofa and saying she’s tired after the drive.

Cash, Xander and Rose go to Salt together. Rose says Cash didn’t need to come with them and Cash says Jasmine was going to bed anyway. Xander goes to get the drinks in. Cash notes Rose was quiet earlier and Rose says she couldn’t get a word in. Cash wonders if she feels sidelined, saying Jasmine’s enthusiastic. Rose threatens to tell stories about Xander’s childhood, drinking a toast to learning you can’t fly. Meanwhile, Justin and Leah are getting ready for bed. Leah thinks Dimitri just told Theo what he wanted to hear. Justin knows it’s hard for Leah thinking bad of Dimitri and suggests losing his wife, his son and his family’s approval might give him a wake-up call.

Roo tells Alf and Martha that Marilyn said to say good night, before saying she knows Martha isn’t telling her something. Martha says she wanted to reconnect with her before getting into it. She’s changed her mind about the surgery and wants to go ahead with the transplant if Roo hasn’t changed her mind. Roo says it’s all she’s wanted. Martha says being brave and noble was fine as a concept but she doesn’t want to leave them. Next morning, Roo gets off the phone and tells Alf, Martha and Marilyn that the transplant co-ordinator has organised an appointment for them for next week. Roo quietly thanks Alf for changing Martha’s mind. Alf says it was all her.

Cash joins Rose sitting on the beach. Rose thinks Jasmine’s indecisive. Cash points out Rose left and immediately came back and realises she’s worried about Xander. He doesn’t think Jasmine will change her mind and says he knows what it’s like to be a big brother. He says Rose is starting to sound like a little sister. Rose protests she’s the newly-discovered middle child, which she seems to still be getting used to. Meanwhile, Jasmine and Xander are walking in a park. She says one of the paramedics is going on maternity leave so suggests he apply. Cash and Rose appear and Rose is surprised that Xander’s considering it. Xander says maybe he’s growing up.

Dimitri arrives at the Morgan house to meet Theo but Leah doesn’t want him to see him. Dimitri says he’ll say whatever it takes to get Theo back. He gets aggressive but snaps back into jovial when Theo appears. Theo realises it was all an act and says Leah and Justin are his family now. Dimitri insists he’s Theo’s father and Theo retorts that Justin’s been more of a father to him. He tells Dimitri to leave. Meanwhile, Cash is surprised to find Rose at the police station. She asks him if he thinks they’d work well together, explaining she’s applied for a transfer, since she’ll need a job if she’s sticking around.

Justin is working at the garage when Dimitri turns up, insisting Justin and Leah have brainwashed Theo. Justin offers to talk about it calmly and says Theo came to them and Dimitri was the only one that turned him against him. Dimitri insists Theo needs discipline. Justin tells him to leave and says he’ll go to the police if Dimitri comes near his family. Dimitri turns back and punches Justin, saying Theo’s his son. He walks away, leaving Justin lying still on the floor.
