Extended Summary

Jasmine is going for a run on the beach. Anne approaches her and asks about Felicity, saying she’s worried about her. Jasmine mentions Cash going looking for her. Anne says it’s all her fault and Jasmine says Felicity shouldn’t have got her to lie about the alibi. At the beach house, Irene challenges Marilyn about what she said to Jasmine. Marilyn says she was just telling the truth and people shouldn’t mind that. Irene tries to get her to see Logan but she refuses. Leah arrives with afternoon tea. Marilyn sees her banana and cinnamon muffins and notes that they’re always a bit dry.

At Salt, Ryder is recording an introduction to the challenge, saying there’ll be a twist at the end. Theo and Chloe arrive and Theo refers to it as getting free alcohol. Ryder reveals the first cocktail is an “egg-spresso martini” which he adds a raw egg to. Theo downs it without complaint. The next is a mix of tomato juice, mince and various sea foods. Down on the beach, Leah is bewildered as Justin fills her in on Ryder and Theo’s challenges. She worries that something might go wrong and thinks it’s another one of Theo’s scams. Justin suggests he’ll lose interest after his 15 minutes of fame.

Jasmine and Tane meet up at the surf club. Tane asks about Felicity. Jasmine is surprised that he’s worried about her. Tane doesn’t think Felicity did it, saying murder is very different from not respecting boundaries. At that moment, Felicity is tied up in a remote outbuilding. Anne comes back and asks if she missed her, before saying she’s going to get her some company: A reunion with Tane. Felicity asks why she’s doing it but Anne says they’ll wait until Tane gets there so she doesn’t have to repeat herself. She shoves a rag in Felicity’s mouth.

Theo downs his last cocktail, saying he has iron guts, but then finds he’s superglued to the chair. Ryder is triumphant but Theo slips out of his shorts and parades around Salt in his underpants, getting a round of applause from the diners. Chloe quips that she needs some eyewash and a newly-arrived Marilyn nonchalantly comments on the look. Meanwhile, Jasmine returns home to the beach house. Irene assures her that Marilyn is out and they discuss her attitude. Jasmine mentions that Tane thinks Felicity’s innocent and so does Anne.

Tane opens the door to Anne, who reminds him they’ve met a few times, with him recalling she works at the bar. She tells him Felicity wouldn’t hurt anyone and Tane agrees. Anne says she wishes he could tell Felicity that. At the Morgan house, Leah and Justin are watching the video although Theo looks downcast when he hears Chloe’s comment. Justin asks Leah to give them a sec and guesses that Theo likes Chloe. Theo says she just sees him as a joke. Justin suggests it might be too soon after Ryder.

Tane brings Anne a drink. Anne reveals she knows where Felicity is and suggests Tane should come and talk to her. Tane is willing. He goes to get her a tissue and Anne puts something in his drink. Later, she leads him towards the outbuilding. Tane is woozy and dizzy as they approach. He pulls open the door to find the bound and gagged Felicity, making frantic noises at him, just before Anne tasers him unconscious. Anne comments that she thought Felicity would be more pleased to see him.

Leah asks Justin if she thinks Theo’s ever had a girlfriend. Justin thinks he’s experienced at least. Ryder and Chloe turn up to see Theo, and Ryder acknowledges Theo won the challenge. Justin tries to suggest ideas but Ryder says he’s not exactly their demographic. He notes Theo got them more subscribers and Theo says he’ll get him $500 from the first challenge. Meanwhile, Irene and Jasmine find Marilyn up in the middle of the night, ringing a meditation bowl. Marilyn says she thought it would help her sleep. Irene offers to get her a new mattress but Marilyn admits that’s not the problem: Her mind keeps remembering lying on the ground and then Logan telling her he was putting her to sleep and worrying she might not wake up. Irene and Jasmine suggests she goes to see a doctor to get something to help her to sleep.

Next morning, Felicity and Tane are tied up on the floor, with Tane still unconscious. Anne arrives and notes she hoped Tane would be awake by now. Felicity tries to get her to let him go. Tane comes round and things click into place for him as Anne confirms it was all her. At the beach house, Marilyn arrives back from an early morning shopping trip. Irene is shocked when she takes out a bottle of brandy, reminding her there’s no booze in the house. Marilyn says it’s to help her sleep, and if Irene can’t cope with it, then it’s her problem.

Felicity apologises to Tane for dragging him into this. Tane says he was worried about her. Felicity quips about him choosing now to be noble and they exchange apologies. Anne comes in carrying a chemical tank which she reveals contains more organophosphate.
