Extended Summary

Ari and Mia are walking along the beach, discussing a doctor’s appointment. They aren’t sure whether to be excited or not, since they’ve been here before. Ari reiterates that they’re stronger this time but wonders when they’re going to tell Chloe. Mia wants to wait until they get the test results in the morning. Meanwhile, Tori is on the phone to Brody, fielding awkward questions about Christian and Justin. At that moment, Justin arrives home, escorted by Ziggy, and goes straight to his room. Ziggy explains that he got in Stephen’s face again.

Ziggy finds Stephen on the beach and tells him Justin’s with his sister. Stephen knows Ziggy works with Justin. Ziggy says he’s normally a great guy. Stephen wonders why everyone’s got his back and says he doesn’t know how Leah puts up with it. At the Diner, Ari and Mia order moussaka from Irene. Leah emerges and Mia comments about not seeing her at the gym lately. Leah can’t stop to talk since Tori’s just called her. She briefly greets Ziggy before leaving. Ziggy tells Ari and Mia that she’s heading home on her own to do paperwork, since Tane has TAFE after the gym. They invite her to eat with them.

Justin emerges from his room and Tori asks about the withdrawals and fronting up to Stephen. Justin says Leah made him beg for medication and then picked a fight with him, just as Leah arrives. Leah says Stephen won’t report him, then goes to get changed. Justin disappears out the back, calling for Buddy. Later, the three of them and Grace are sharing an uncomfortable meal. Tori tries to get people to talk. Justin says he was just trying to say sorry to Stephen but Leah is unimpressed. Tori tells him to stay away from Stephen. Justin says Stephen keeps hanging around Leah, and accuses Tori of getting involved in his relationship rather than dealing with Christian, before walking out.

Ziggy is eating with Ari and Mia. She’s reluctant to talk about Justin while they’re reluctant to discuss their day. Mia goes to get drinks but then gets a phone call which seems to worry her, disappearing off to take it. Ari follows and she explains they’ve been fast-tracked to see the obstetrician they were referred to first thing. At the end of the meal. Ari refuses to let Ziggy help with the dishes so she decides to go home and wait for Tane. Ari checks with Mia, who is worried about the appointment.

Tori returns from putting Grace down. She thinks Justin’s through the worst of the withdrawals but Leah thinks he won’t get better until he admits that he’s got a problem. Justin overhears this and accuses Leah of trying to turn Tori against him. He tries to get her to admit that Stephen has a crush on her. Tori tells Leah to go for a walk and asks Justin what he’s doing. Irene is closing up at the Diner when Leah arrives in tears and says she can’t live like this.

Tori tells Justin that luckily Grace slept through it. Justin thinks Leah’s given up on him and says he’s sticking to the withdrawal plan. Tori reminds him he tried to buy more drugs online last week and needs to talk to someone. She gets a text from Leah saying she’s staying overnight at Irene’s and stops Justin going after her. Next morning, Ari and Mia meet up on the beach, both nervous. Ziggy approaches but Mia doesn’t give an explanation for asking Tane to cover at work. As Ziggy walks on, Ari notes she’s suspicious and Mia notes it’s lucky Chloe stayed at Ryder’s or she’d have noticed something.

Leah tells Irene and Ziggy that Justin won’t stop ringing her: She has five missed calls. Stephen turns up and asks after Leah, who tells him about staying at Irene’s. Irene calls him a kind fella. Later, Justin finds Leah with Tori and Grace. He tries to apologise but Leah says she’s moving out. Justin protests and asks Tori to help him out. Tori agrees that Leah shouldn’t move out: Justin should. Justin is aghast but Tori is adamant.

At the hospital, Mia and Ari discuss the fact they’re going to see their baby. They’ve been told that Mia’s HCG levels are high and the scan will hopefully tell them why. Later, they head home to wait for the test results. Chloe arrives, saying she’s been to the beach and will get ready for work. Ari and Mia don’t tell her what’s going on. Ari points out they need to tell her eventually. Mia says when everything’s okay.

Justin appears with his bags. He tries to talk to Leah but she goes to the bedroom and shuts the door. Tori tells Justin she’s arranged for him to pick up his medication from the hospital pharmacy and that she has to do what’s right for her, Grace and Leah. Justin looks at the closed bedroom door for a moment before leaving, telling Tori she’s thrown Christian out and now him. Tori picks up Grace and cuddles her.
