Extended Summary

A helicopter flies Tori to the city, with a message over the radio stating she is a 32-year-old with postpartum pre-eclampsia who had a normal delivery, and the baby is also on board. At the hospital, they are greeted by a female doctor and nurse. Grace is taken to be checked out while Tori is wheeled into Resus. Back in the Bay, at Salt, Leah, Justin, Mason and Ava are having a meal to celebrate the newest Morgan. They reflect that they don’t know whether she’s a Morgan or a Shaw now that the danger is over. Justin keeps pinching fruit from Ava’s pancake and they end up drinking a toast to Tori and Grace.

Robbo and Jasmine arrive at the hospital as Tori is being examined and are told that she had a seizure. The doctor wants to send her for a head CT. The pair check on Grace; the nurse says she’s fine and will be taken to the nursery. Robbo holds her. Jasmine offers to call Justin but Robbo says he will once Grace is settled. At the school, Maggie rejoins Ryder in the office. She is going to call Blake’s parents and the police. Ryder says there’s no proof but Maggie says she still has the water bottle, which will contain drug residue. She points out the supervisor may have had an allergic reaction or overdose because of the drug and Blake risked that just to pass an exam.

At home, Ben takes one of his pills. John turns up, calling out with no response before cautiously walking in. Ben suspects Maggie sent him but John says he came under his own steam. He produces some cakes and convinces Ben to put the kettle on. Meanwhile, Justin, Leah and Ava arrive back at the Morgan house; Mason has gone to the gym. Justin gets a call from Robbo, who says they’re at West Sydney Hospital and explains about Tori’s collapse. Leah sends Ava outside to give Buddy water. Robbo and Jasmine are with Tori as the doctors need to resuscitate her. Robbo tells Justin to get there fast. Justin thinks that Robbo panicking is a bad sign.

Shortly after, Leah has packed some things for Tori and Grace and also agrees to phone Brody. Mason arrives; he tried to get information from the hospital but they wouldn’t talk to him. Justin and Mason are going to the city while Leah looks after Ava, who knows that Tori collapsed but not much else. Justin tells her to get things ready there and he’ll call them when they get to the city. At school, Blake turns up and asks Ryder what’s going on. Ryder says he told the truth and there’s proof. Blake slams Ryder into a locker but they both calm down when Maggie appears and calls Blake in. Ryder advises him to tell the truth while Blake worries how his dad will react.

John asks Ben how Coco’s doing in her HSC but Ben is a bit confused and snaps at John when he talks about meeting things head on. Ben apologises, saying the antidepressants are doing his head in and leaving him nauseous: It’s meant to take a month to get used to it, but some people have said it takes longer. John suggests he has a walk on the beach and offers to drive him. Soon after, they are walking through a park area but Ben is feeling queasy and John realises it wasn’t a good idea. He offers to get him a juice or ginger but ends up handing him over to Maggie, who learned where they were from Marilyn. She starts to tell Ben what happened at school but then he throws up and asks her to drive him home.

Leah and Ava arrive at the Diner. Marilyn excitedly asks if there’s any more baby pictures. Leah sends Ava to sit down, then tells Marilyn about Tori being in hospital. Marilyn offers to mind Ava so Leah can join Justin but Leah wants to stay with her. Meanwhile, Justin and Mason are greeted by Jasmine at the hospital. She tells them Robbo is trying to bottle feed Grace and leads them to Tori’s room, where Robbo is sitting. Justin and Mason are both horrified, but buoyed slightly when Robbo shows them Grace.

Ryder and Maggie both watch as Blake is taken away by the police, reiterating that juvie’s safer than facing his dad. Ryder tells Maggie that Blake’s father gave him his black eye. Maggie says she figured it out and told the police. She offers to put in a misadventure notice on his last exam but Ryder says he’d nearly finished it. In the city, Jasmine finds Robbo trying to bottle feed Grace: After a few attempts, Grace starts drinking.

John and Ryder are chatting at the surf club, noting that doing the right thing doesn’t necessarily make you feel happy. John suggests that both Blake and his dad are getting the help they need. He offers to shout Ryder a drink in Salt. Soon after, Ryder is bewildered when the drink actually appears, taking a photo to prove it happened. He wonders if they’ll ever find out what happened to Blake. John says Maggie might hear of the court date but suggests Ryder concentrate on his exam tomorrow afternoon.

At the farm house, Maggie asks Ben if she can get him something to eat but he can’t stomach it. He also doesn’t want to go back to bed, which the antidepressants were meant to stop, or get Alex to prescribe something, since that would be taking pills to sort out pills. He admits he’s just sounding off and that the antidepressants haven’t made anything better. At the city hospital, the doctor tells Justin, Mason, Robbo and Jasmine that scans show Tori has had a stroke: A bleed on the frontal lobe. Mason realises this could mean brain damage and the doctor says they won’t know until she wakes up, although she’s stable for now. Justin tells Tori they’ll take care of Grace for her.

Later, at the Morgan house, Mason gives Ava an overly positive assessment of Tori’s condition and sends her to get some things for Justin. He then gives Leah a more accurate update, adding that he’s come back to look after Ava while Leah joins Justin. They agree not to tell Ava any more for now. After Leah goes to see Ava, Mason looks at a photo of the Morgan siblings. At the farm house, Ben takes a drink of water and then bins the pills. Maggie sees and Ben tells her he’s done with them.
