Extended Summary

Outside the surf club, Brody is on the phone to someone trying and failing to get them to come in on their day off. Ziggy overhears and he explains he has staff issues and Salt is fully booked. Ziggy blames herself for Simone going, even though Brody tells her not to, and offers to help out. At the wedding venue, Jasmine, Robbo, Bella, Willow, Dean and a group of River Boys form the congregation as Colby fills Chelsea in on the venue nature. The celebrant, Josh, introduces himself. As he’s about to start, two of the River Boys drop a box and Dean tells them to keep quiet.

Tori comes home to find Leah there. Leah explains she came to talk to her but thinks it’s not the right time, explaining about Justin breaking up with Willow. Tori isn’t sure she’s the right person to talk to him but Leah encourages her to try, saying they’ll talk about the other thing later. Tori knocks on Justin’s door but he reminds her they’re staying out of each other’s business. At Salt, Brody criticises the presentation of some dishes Ziggy helped the sous chef with, telling her to take them back. Justin arrives and comments to Brody on Ziggy working there, saying he’s just there for beer, not to unload.

Colby says that they’ve had a bumpy ride but he’ll always love her. Chelsea notes that he’s been as stubborn as her and chased her. She turns to Bella and promises to look after her as well. Josh pronounces them husband and wife. There are cheers and Dean rings a bell. Later, Colby, Chelsea and Dean chat about the other guests and thank Nugget for arranging the beer. Colby wonders if they know it’s a cop wedding but Dean says they know it’s his and once a River Boy always a River Boy. Colby and Chelsea thank him and Willow does likewise, joking it’ll be Colby being best man for him one day. Colby worries it’s not what Chelsea wanted but she says she’d have liked her family there but marrying him is the important thing. Robbo asks her to take a photo of him and Jasmine.

At the Diner, Tori tells Leah she had little luck talking to Justin. Leah asks her about talking to Robbo. Tori says he’s all geared up to propose to Jasmine. She adds that she doesn’t feel the same as last time so doesn’t think she’s pregnant. John joins Alf nearby and comments on neither of them being invited to the wedding, although they also agree they don’t fancy a River Boy party. John comments on Colby and Chelsea being a lovely couple which seems to make Alf reflective. John suggests there’s still time for him. Down by the lake near the wedding venue, Dean finds Willow but she isn’t in the party mood and tells him about the break-up with Justin. She says he felt the same as her, that they’d been over a long time ago. Dean tries to get her to come to town with him to get more beer but Willow refuses.

Dean retrieves a bag from behind the counter at the board shop. Ziggy comes down with some boxes and Dean helps her take them out. Upstairs in Salt, Justin comments to Brody on spending all that time thinking someone was the one and then realising you were never compatible. Dean and Ziggy come up; Ziggy is trying to get details about the wedding but all Dean can give her is that Chelsea wore a dress and they said some things. He says they need more beer but there’s plenty of food so everyone’s invited. He notes he heard Justin and Willow broke up. Justin sarcastically says he’s sure Dean’s upset but Dean says he wants Willow to be happy and Justin accepts it. Dean leaves with the beer and Brody sends Ziggy with him, after she’s asked him to join them after work. Justin notes the beer isn’t helping and he should take a leaf out of Brody’s book, since he’s the only one of them whose life is together. Brody gets a text from Simone thanking him for the reference and saying she’s got an interview at the bistro.

Dean and Ziggy arrive back at the reception and Dean explains the River Boys used to party there. Ziggy notes she saw some cricket gear. There follows a montage of cricketing play with Chelsea watching from a tennis-umpire style seat, Colby and Dean partnering at the bat and Robbo, Ziggy, Willow, Jasmine and Bella all taking a turn at bat or bowl, with Jasmine being rather clumsy and falling over. At the Morgan house, Justin and Tori clear the air over earlier. They’ve both made a mess of things but Justin notes his mess is over and he and Willow are broken up, while Tori’s situation is ongoing. Tori says she doesn’t know how to fix it. Justin says she can’t, it’s just damage control.

Robbo and Jasmine walk by the river. Jasmine asks about Robbo’s wedding. Robbo says Lauren wanted the big white church wedding but Jasmine knows if he’d chosen he’d have wanted traditional as well. Colby calls everyone to dance. Ziggy gets a call from Brody: He’s not coming. She tries to get Dean to dance with her but he is looking at Willow. Colby and Chelsea dance before the whole party indulge in a group dance. At Salt, Simone turns up and tells Brody she got his message, asking what he wants.
