Extended Summary

Jasmine and Robbo are both walking and nearly collide. Jasmine makes awkward small talk, establishing they’ve both going to work, before hurrying off, cursing under her breath. At the hospital, Tori tells Justin that the surgeon fitted Raffy’s drain and Mason and the nurses are settling her on ITU, but they’re still not certain what’s going to happen. Justin says he sent Brody and Ziggy home to rest. Jasmine turns up and seems reluctant to approach them but eventually says she was sorry to hear about Raffy.

Coco is searching the caravan park; she tries phoning Ryder and hears his phone ringing nearby. When she finds him, he tells her she shouldn’t have bothered looking and John was right. Coco says they chose to go with him and if he disappears a lot of people will be sad, including Raffy. She convinces him to go to the house where Leah says she was worried about him and John shouldn’t have said what he did. Ryder asks if he can visit Raffy. At that moment, Roo turns up; she says someone said Ryder needed a hug and obliges. Coco and Leah leave them to it.

Mason has got Raffy settled as Justin and Tori join them. He convinces Tori to get some rest. However, shortly after she’s left the room, Raffy starts fitting; Mason calls for help and staff including Tori and Jasmine rush to assist. Later, Tori tells Justin that they’ve put Raffy on medication to control the seizures but there’s still bruising and swelling and could be residual effects. Robbo turns up to ask Tori if she’s okay; he says they can put the IVF on hold but she repeats what Justin said about Raffy wanting her to carry on. Jasmine approaches during the conversation to ask about bringing Raffy back from imaging. It is awkward again but Robbo insists to Tori that Jasmine understands.

Ryder has explained what happened to Roo and says he shouldn’t have taken the girls to the hideout. Roo still thinks John shouldn’t have said what he did. She gives Ryder a snow globe she bought at the airport and agrees to call Justin about visiting Raffy. At the hospital, Mason finds Jasmine crying in the store room. She explains about telling Robbo how she felt and how awkward it is to be around him, musing that rejection hurts (Mason agrees). She asks him not to tell anyone she was upset.

Roo finishes her phone call with Justin. Ryder wants to take Raffy flowers but Roo says they’re not allowed in ICU and isn’t sure about taking Ryder there. Ryder insists Raffy would be there for him and Roo relents. At the hospital, Justin can see Tori is preoccupied. She admits she’s worried about Robbo and Jasmine but Justin says Robbo’s made his choice and she should concentrate on herself. Roo and Ryder turn up just as Raffy is being brought through; Ryder is shocked to see all the tubes in her. She suddenly starts fitting again and is rushed to ICU.

Tori finds Justin and admits they don’t know what’s causing Raffy’s seizures. He snaps at her then apologises and she tells him to go and take a break. She sees Roo and Ryder but is reluctant to approach them. Jasmine offers to step in and takes Ryder to Raffy’s room, getting him to sit with her and hold her hand. He says he’s sorry. Tori and Mason watch Jasmine looking after Ryder and Tori says she’s great at it. She senses Mason is hiding something and he reluctantly tells her about finding Jasmine crying.

John and Marilyn prepare to leave the Diner for the hospital. Roo and Ryder arrive and Marilyn enthusiastically welcomes Roo back. Roo confides the visit to Raffy didn’t go well. John asks if there’s anything they can do; Roo gives him an incredulous look before saying they’re all right. At the hospital, Tori gives John and Marilyn an update; they and Mason go and sit with Raffy. Tori tries to talk to Jasmine about Robbo. Jasmine realises Mason spoke to her and says she doesn’t want to discuss it with her at work…or at all. Tori gets a phone call from the specialist and goes to tell John, Marilyn and Mason that Raffy has a small area of damage to the brain that can’t be fixed. However, they are going to reduce the sedation and hopefully she’ll come round in the next few days. Marilyn convinces John to go and give “someone else” the news and Mason convinces Tori to go and get some sleep.

Jasmine approaches Robbo outside his flat, with neither of them aware that Tori is nearby. She tells him she’s having to spend all her time wondering if Tori’s pregnant and wants him to give her some space. Robbo agrees not to visit Tori at work. He adds that he wishes things were different. At the caravan park house, John turns up and tells Roo and Ryder that Raffy isn’t awake yet but could be any day. He apologises for having a go at Ryder. After he’s gone, Roo tries to get Ryder to revise for his computer studies exam but Ryder doesn’t see the point and says he’s the one that did this to Raffy.

That night, Tori is sitting on a bench near the beach. Robbo walks out onto the wharf nearby and Tori joins him. She thinks he’d be with Jasmine if not for the IVF. Robbo says he wants to have a baby with her but Tori says that doesn’t mean he can’t be with Jasmine as well. Robbo reminds her she told him to choose. Tori says it doesn’t have to be an either/or and if he wants to be with Jasmine he should be.
