Extended Summary
Ben arrives home and tries to get into bed quietly but Maggie wakes up. She asks where he’s been. Ben stammers a bit before admitting that he’s scared of losing her. They hug each other in comfort. Next morning, the pair encounter Coco and Ziggy over breakfast. Ben admits he took things out on them the previous day and Ziggy points out he took them out on Raffy too. Ben says it won’t happen again but Maggie thinks it will. She says she’s realised she might die and, even though she’s going to fight, they need to face up to it.
Olivia is walking near the beach when she sees Hunter and Jennifer lying in the bushes, just waking up. Jennifer comments on her messy dress but agrees with Hunter’s suggestion that it was worth it and kisses him, unaware they have an audience. Soon after, Olivia is punching a bag in the gym. Mason hastily gets her some gloves and asks if it’s about Hunter. Olivia says that he and the “high school bimbo” were together all night.
Tori turns up at the police station, prompting a weary response from McCarthy, who is used to her visits. Tori maintains she has the right to visit Robbo as his doctor and hands over more case studies. McCarthy says he’ll add them to the file and inform the magistrate but it’s unlikely to carry much weight since Tori isn’t a psychiatrist and is personally involved. He says Robbo being sent to remand is standard procedure and she has twenty-four hours to change it. He shows her through to the cell area where Robbo is standing in the corner with his back to them. McCarthy asks if he looks like he wants to be saved. Meanwhile, Hunter and Jennifer turn up at the Diner. Irene quietly remarks on how dressed up she is and Leah explains Hunter didn’t come home. Hunter comes to the counter and says time got away from him. Irene and Leah express concern, pointing out Jennifer’s still at school. Hunter says she’s mature and gets annoyed when they call her a rebound, insisting that’s not the case.
Brody and Ziggy go up to the Diner flat. Brody is surprised to hear that it will be up for rent and thinks that it will be perfect for them. Coco comes up in time to hear the comment and is annoyed that Ziggy is even thinking about moving out when Maggie is sick, storming out. Brody asks Ziggy to talk to Ben about it. Meanwhile, Tori is chatting to Robbo in his cell, asking if he’s remembered anything else. Robbo asks why she’s helping him. Tori says she’s come too far for it all to count for nothing, plus she’s seen how much Robbo has suffered. She says she believes in him like Kat did and needs him to fight.
Coco and Ziggy arrive home. Coco drops hints to Ben and Maggie about Ziggy having something to tell them but Ziggy says it’s nothing, prompting a disgusted look. Ben heads down to the Diner and puts up a For Lease sign outside. Brody comes along and asks him if Ziggy spoke to him. When it’s clear Ben doesn’t know what he’s talking about, Brody explains he wants to rent the flat for the two of them, saying he’s not got a rental history but Salt is doing well. Ben says he’ll get back to him.
Tori meets with Professor Juliet Pickford, who she worked for as an intern, at Salt. She has filled her in on Robbo’s case and says he needs an urgent evaluation and that the police think she’s too close. Pickford is keen to help out, calling Robbo a thesis waiting to happen. Meanwhile, Ben arrives home; Ziggy and Coco are there but Maggie’s asleep. Ben asks Ziggy about moving out, saying he’s not happy about the idea but won’t stand in her way. Ziggy says she doesn’t want to move out but didn’t want to hurt Brody by saying no. She asks Ben to reject his application. Coco is disgusted and Ben isn’t happy but agrees.
Olivia is having a disappointing phone call on the beach. Hunter comes over and Olivia snipes about him losing his date. Hunter says Jennifer’s getting changed but isn’t in the mood for Olivia’s attitude. She explains Axel has rejected all her ideas for the Find’s winter collection. Hunter says she’ll get back on top and is full of ideas. Jennifer comes outside and doesn’t look too happy to see Hunter chatting to Olivia. She and Hunter go off together. Some time later, Olivia has a video call with Axel outside the Diner. He is disappointed with her decision but she won’t change her mind. She goes inside where Irene notes she looks happier. Olivia says she’s quit the Find. Irene and Leah are both shocked but she says it feels like a weight’s been lifted and she needs to get back to designing for herself.
Tori takes Pickford to the police station and introduces her to McCarthy. McCarthy is co-operative but doesn’t think much to their chances. He arranges for Pickford to see Robbo in the interview room. With Tori sitting in, Pickford asks Robbo what he remembers about his family. Robbo can only recall overturned furniture and blood. Pickford says it shows that he cares but Robbo is uninterested and asks to be returned to his cell. Pickford tells McCarthy that she agrees with Tori’s assessment that Robbo should be in psychiatric care. McCarthy lets her prepare a letter for the magistrate but doesn’t think there’s time before the transfer goes through. Tori asks to sit with Robbo while they wait.
Brody is working on his laptop at Salt and, when Ben comes in, says he was about to send the application. Ben awkwardly says he shouldn’t bother, since they’re after a particular type of person. Brody offers more rent but Ben says it’s not about money, prompting Brody to conclude that Ben still doesn’t trust him. A pained Ben says that’s not it. Brody heads to the farm house and tells Ziggy that Ben won’t rent to him. Coco tells Ziggy that she’ll be in her room judging her. Ziggy admits to Brody that she told Ben to reject the application, saying she doesn’t want to move out while Maggie’s ill. Brody is disappointed but accepts it.
Tori is sitting with Robbo in his cell when McCarthy comes through and says a place at the remand centre has become available. Tori wants to call the magistrate but McCarthy says he and Pickford have tried that and there’s no-one there. Tori is upset and McCarthy says Robbo will be transferred first thing. Next morning, McCarthy gets a phone call and Robbo is led out from his cell, signing the forms (as Beckett Reid). Next time we see him, he is near the beach, wearing an electronic tag.
