Extended Summary

Justin tells Willow he needs fake ID and car plates. Willow is bewildered, reminding Justin he wanted her to go straight. She asks what it’s about. Justin tries to tell her to just trust him but Willow is unwilling to help without details so Justin leaves. When he arrives home, he is thrown to find Raffy there, with Mason helping her get her schoolbooks together. Justin says she should be at the Palmers’ getting ready for school and quickly ushers her out of the house. Raffy asks him to drop her off at Coco’s since they’re meant to be doing prep together.

At the Diner, the Astonis have finished eating. Ben suggests dessert, asking Coco’s opinion, but Maggie says she has to check on Roo and then get things ready for the first day of school. Ben isn’t sure but Maggie says it’s only paperwork and she needs to keep busy. Hunter comes in and Ziggy goes over to him; he mentions Olivia going to Paris. In Melbourne, Olivia is sat by a pool sketching. Axel comes up behind her and kisses her. She shows him the sketch and he notes the skirt is conventional but the jacket is amazing. Olivia is disappointed he has to go into work, since she was looking forward to having dinner together on their last night. Axel gives her his credit card and tells her to get something in and he’ll be back as soon as he can.

Hunter arrives home and calls out for Irene or Ash without response. He takes a water bottle from the fridge and settles in front of the telly. Over in Melbourne, Olivia is doing much the same thing, with the table set for an intimate meal nearby. Irene rings her and Olivia asks about Hunter, before confirming she’s still planning to go to Paris with Axel. She hangs off when Axel gets home but is disappointed to find he is accompanied by another designer, Clyde, and his two female companions. Axel quietly explains he is trying to get Clyde to sign a contract and assures Olivia there’ll be plenty of time for the two of them and romance in Paris.

At the farm house, Ryder, Raffy and Coco are sat round the table. Raffy mentions Justin ushering her out of the house. She and Coco finish preparing their books but Ryder isn’t even certain he has any: He assumes Roo sorted it, since he’s only going back to school for her, plus hanging out with them. They discuss Maggie, with Coco noting she wants the test results to come back but is worried what they’ll be. Ben comes in during the chat and assures her she doesn’t need to put on an act before going to pick Maggie up. At the school, Roo has finished her preparation and comments to Maggie on having to deal with a classroom full of students. Maggie assures her she’ll muddle through and be reassuring newbies in a year’s time. Ben arrives and Roo leaves. Ben notes Maggie’s been hours but she says she needed to focus on something other than the biopsy.

Next morning, Ziggy and Coco walk on the beach. Ziggy tells Coco to keep an eye on Maggie and call her if anything happens. She leaves her with Raffy and Ryder outside the Diner. The girls convince Ryder to get going, since they only have fifteen minutes. They pass Justin and Raffy sarcastically notes he doesn’t have to tell her to go this time. Justin stops her and checks she’s okay living with John and Marilyn. Raffy says she is but misses them, and asks if the trouble’s about Robbo. Justin says as soon as the danger’s over she can come home. Meanwhile, Ziggy runs into Hunter and notes she waited for him. Hunter says he didn’t feel like a surf: He didn’t get much sleep and knows Olivia leaves today. Ziggy says there’s not much he can do about it but Hunter thinks maybe there is.

Hunter goes home and gets his laptop. He sends Olivia an e-mail saying to play this if they meant anything, with the proposal video attached. Mixed in with clips of them, it includes Irene’s fumbling speech about being proud of Olivia, Roo saying what a lovely couple they make, Alf reflecting on how Hunter’s changed since she came along and VJ telling them to look to the future. Olivia watches it, looking teary. Axel emerges and reflects on how much they had to drink, saying he’s just going to have a shower.

Ben walks Maggie into work and asks if he can stay and help. Maggie says Mr Jackson’s going to be late because his car’s caught fire, so if he could take Year 11 Physics yes, otherwise no. Roo has been nearby during the tail end of the conversation and quietly assures Ben she’ll keep an eye on her. Ben leaves, passing Jennifer who goes over to Raffy, Ryder and Coco by the lockers. She sarcastically suggests Raffy’s done the homework for the year already. Coco protests that she thought they were past this. Jennifer assures them she’s just messing and says she should probably have studied as well, suggesting she’ll have to cheat off Raffy.

Robbo is disturbed by someone rattling the garage door and grabs a stick as a weapon. It’s Mason, who asks a newly arrived Justin what’s going on. Justin claims the lock is busted. Mason protests his weights are in there but Justin tells him to use the ones at the gym and that trying to open the garage will make the problem worse. After Mason’s gone, Justin calls Tori and tells her they need to make new arrangements. He heads to the gym where he joins Willow in the office and quietly tells her that Robbo’s in his garage and that’s who he needs to make disappear. He explains Tori wants to keep him away from Ash, confirming that she knows she’s breaking the law but he’s injured. Willow tells him there’s a complication: The ex she mentioned before is Dean.

Axel has got changed and rejoins Olivia, who is sat next to their packed cases. He checks she’s okay, then takes some cases and heads out. Olivia hesitates for a moment, then takes a case and follows him. Back in the Bay, Hunter and Ziggy are on the beach and he has explained about sending the video. Ziggy is horrified, saying there were reasons he let Olivia go, but Hunter says he was wrong. Ziggy tries to get him to reconsider but Hunter says it’s too late now. Ziggy indicates there’s things he doesn’t know. Hunter presses her and she eventually admits Olivia slept with Axel.

Willow joins Justin at the bar in Salt. She says she’ll do it: Neither of them are happy about it, but he trusted her so she’ll trust him. Down on the beach, Hunter is sitting when Olivia approaches him. She says she’s not going to Paris: She saw the video and everything in it was true. She says she never stopped loving him, just made a mistake, and wants him to propose for real. Hunter asks if there’s anything else she wants to tell him and she says no. Hunter says he gave her a chance but she was never going to tell him: He knows she slept with Axel and never wants to see her again. He walks away, leaving Olivia upset.
