Extended Summary

Justin and Willow run into each other outside the surf club; Willow asks about the funeral and Justin notes he’s just taken Kat’s family back to the city. As they are contemplating going for a beer, Alf appears and suggests that Brody might need help upstairs, an idea punctuated by the sound of breaking glass. Justin heads upstairs where the River Boys have taken over the central table. After consulting with first John and then Brody and Ziggy, he joins Ash and Dean at the bar, where he tries to get Ash to turn down another beer. Ash introduces Justin and Dean to each other as “old mate” and “new mate” and convinces Justin to join them in a toast to Kat and the baby.

Tori continues to tend to Robbo and asks him where he’s been. Robbo says he was just walking but his leg was getting worse. He apologises for taking Tori off in the car and asks if she was with Kat when she died and if she was scared. Tori says she was unconscious when she was brought in. Robbo says she was awake when he left her. Tori leaves. Back at Salt, Brody tries to get the River Boys to leave but when one of them, Jimmy, squares up with John, he agrees to one more round. Ash is becoming increasingly maudlin as Willow arrives and asks John what happened to the wake. Justin comes over and tells her he has to look after Ash since he can’t find Tori. As Willow leaves, she and Dean look at each other in recognition. Justin manages to get Ash out after Dean has promised to find Robbo.

Tori is sorting through some pills when Justin arrives with a semi-conscious Ash. She asks Justin why he didn’t take Ash home; Justin is surprised, since he thought Tori would want to look after him. He helps Ash into a bedroom. Next morning, Willow is on the beach preparing to go for a swim. Dean joins her and wonders why she’s been ignoring his texts. Willow quickly makes her excuses and heads out into the water.

Justin finds Tori with some pills and assumes she has a headache. Ash emerges and asks about food but Tori tells him to go to the Diner. Ash asks if she checked at the hospitals and Tori says Robbo hasn’t been there. Ash heads home. Justin wonders why Tori’s gone from wanting to keep an eye on him to wanting rid of him. Tori says she doesn’t like Ash’s new friends and convinces Justin to go. She then heads to the garage and gives Robbo the pills. She asks him what happened at the police station. He says Kat let him out of the cell, saying she wanted the life he’d planned. He went with her because it was what he wanted too, but if he’d stayed in the cell she’d still be alive: Instead, he left her to die. Tori says she’s sorry she couldn’t save her. Justin comes in and is furious to see Robbo there, grabbing hold of him roughly. Tori pulls them apart, saying Robbo’s hurt.

Justin and Tori head back inside. Justin insists that Kat’s dead because of Robbo but Tori says the accident wasn’t his fault and she has a responsibility to help anyone injured. Justin is worried what will happen if Ash or the police find out. Brody comes through on his way to work. Justin goes to call the police but Tori stops him. She argues that Ash is after Robbo at the moment and could ruin his life. Justin thinks if the police get him, he’ll be behind bars, but Tori says he’ll be taken to hospital and thinks she has a better chance of keeping Ash away from him at the house than there. She says it’s just until Ash comes to his senses but can offer little explanation for how long she’s going to keep Robbo there or what she’s going to do about Brody and Mason.

Willow finds Dean waiting for her on the beach. He notes he went to her house and she says she moved and doesn’t have to tell him. Dean invites her for a coffee. John comes along and wonders if Dean is bothering Willow but she says only slightly and agrees to the drink. Up in Salt, Brody tells Ziggy what Alf said about the River Boys hanging out there and hopes they don’t come back too often since they’re not the clientele he’s after. Ziggy offers to help with prep, saying it’s a good distraction from what’s happening with Maggie. Brody tells her about Justin and Tori arguing.

Dean and Willow are sat outside the surf club; Dean is amused at Willow getting a job teaching boxing. Willow heads to work; Dean recalls she usually has a scam on the go but she says the last one didn’t go so well. Dean joins Ash nearby and gets a text from Jimmy saying he’s on his way back with some news. In Salt, Brody and Ziggy have got everything ready and are preparing to sneak off to the store room when they see Jimmy come in and greet Ash and Dean. Brody takes Ash aside and asks him about his new friends. Ash assures him he’s not there to cause trouble.

John visits Willow in the gym, asking if everything’s going okay with the job and the customers. He notes he’s had dealing with the River Boys before. Willow gets a text from Dean saying she can have a beer with him any time. Meanwhile, Ash is unimpressed with Jimmy’s information: An old guy recognised Robbo as someone he gave a lift to a service station but, although he knows where it is, Jimmy doesn’t know in which direction Robbo was going and is mostly just there for a free beer. Ash and Jimmy square up and Justin and Brody step in. Justin says Robbo has to go to jail but Ash says it’s an eye for an eye. Dean suggests they check out the service station.

Tori is back with Robbo, who offers to leave. Tori points out he can’t walk and says he should be in hospital. Justin enters and says he should be in prison. He’ll let Robbo stay for now but believes it’s his fault Kat’s dead and says if he harms his family, he’ll hand him over to Ash. Tori follows Justin to the house and thanks him. Justin still thinks it’s a bad idea and points out they’re breaking the law. Tori says it’ll take a few days to clear the infection and admits she doesn’t have a plan after that.

Justin goes to see Willow at the gym. Willow tells him that an ex of hers is in town and she had a coffee with him. Justin has something else on his mind: He asks Willow how you make someone disappear.
