Extended Summary

Hunter and Olivia arrive home. Hunter tells Olivia he’s proud of her. Olivia says she has something to tell him, but after hesitating she simply says that Axel told her she’s getting paid the $5000 the Find owes her. Hunter says it calls for a celebration later and invites her up to bed but she says she has to take a shower first. She adds that she loves him. Next morning, Tori and Ziggy both run into Brody outside the surf club. He is celebrating the fact that he’s just written a recipe again and says it’s a sign he’s ready to buy back Salt. Tori points out it’s not for sale. Brody says he’s going to get the money sorted first and then call Felicity.

Olivia pinches a chip off Hunter at the Diner and he tells her he’s going to the gym. Axel comes in and asks if Olivia told Hunter about the money coming through. After Hunter’s gone, Olivia asks Axel why he’s still in town. Axel says he needs to discuss the new line with her and Olivia says he can do that over the phone. Axel decides it was a bad idea him coming in and leaves. At the gym, Hunter finds Mason using the equipment. He tells him he’s had an idea how to propose: He’s going to record a video of their friends praising Olivia and their relationship, play it to her and propose afterwards. Jennifer comes in with some friends asking about the self-defence class, adding that they haven’t got Hunter to protect them at school anymore. Mason says that’s the old timetable but there’s a boxing class at one. After checking he’s taking it, Jennifer agrees. Hunter tells Mason Jennifer was flirting with him, but Mason thinks she was flirting with Hunter. They arrange to meet after work for Mason’s part of the video.

Tori sees Brody has changed into a suit to meet the bank about a loan. Brody worries they’ll ask why he sold Salt so Tori tells him to just keep it general. Brody asks her not to tell the others. Tori thinks he’s just buying Salt to impress Ben and Ziggy but Brody says he’d need to do it anyway. Justin comes in and Brody explains the suit by saying he’s going out for lunch to celebrate six months clean, then quickly exits. Justin learns Tori broke up with Ash and she learns he’s cooled it with Willow. Meanwhile, Olivia meets Ziggy on the beach. Ziggy rightly guesses Olivia wants to talk her out of telling Hunter about the cheating. Olivia tells Ziggy to stop judging her, saying she’s meant to be her friend. Ziggy says friends are straight with each other so Olivia says they shouldn’t be friends, then it’s not Ziggy’s problem. Ziggy agrees.

Mason is taking the class on the headland. He calls for a volunteer and Jennifer steps forward. Mason demonstrates a punch combination with her and gets everyone else to partner up while he continues working with Jennifer. John approaches and calls out to Mason; he looks round and Jennifer punches him in the eye. Later, back at the gym, Jennifer suggests to Mason that she needs private lessons and he suggests she come back after hours. Tori and Roo come in and Mason introduces her to Jennifer, who Roo knows from school. Jennifer leaves and they tease Mason about his bruise.

Hunter arrives home and tries to surreptitiously retrieve his bag from the kitchen. Olivia comes downstairs dressed up, talking on the phone about a surprise for her boyfriend. She tells Hunter she’s worked out a way to celebrate: She’s booked them a table at Le Chapeaux, a French restaurant in Yabbie Creek. Hunter says he has to work a shift at the bait shop and only came back for his laptop, suggesting she take Ziggy instead. He heads to the Diner and sets up his camera. Mason enters and Hunter thinks he’s there for his session but Mason explains he’s meeting Jennifer. Hunter asks if Mason likes her, saying Beth wouldn’t want him to live like a monk. After Mason’s gone, Hunter calls John over.

Brody tells Tori that his meeting was a non-event: The bank won’t lend him money with a criminal record and told him to come back in twelve months. Meanwhile, Olivia goes into Salt on her own, still dressed up. She nearly leaves when she sees Axel there but he stops her. She tells him she’s meeting a friend and he convinces her to have a drink with him. Back at the Diner, Hunter gets Roo to give a talk to camera and she calls Olivia amazing, talented and loyal. As she talks, Olivia and Axel share a toast.

Downstairs, Tori has told Justin and Mason about Brody’s plan. Mason guesses that she thinks they should help him out with the money. Tori thinks that his calm response to being turned down for the loan is a sign that he’s back on track. Mason heads into the gym where Jennifer shows him a pair of personal boxing gloves she’s bought. They have a brief sparring session and Mason notes she’s improving. He tells her to work on the bag while he gets some pads. He gets a text from Hunter saying he’ll meet him after work. He clears the text and sees his backdrop picture of Beth, causing him to shoot an awkward look at Jennifer.

Justin and Tori come home and Justin attempts to “innocently” spot Brody’s business plan. Brody instantly realises that Tori told him. They insist that they agree it’s a good idea and tell him they still have $70,000 of the money Felicity gave them left: They want to lend it to him at the same rates the bank would offer. Back at Salt, Olivia comments on Axel buying top shelf champagne on the company credit card. Axel suggests she go to Fashion Week in Paris with him as friends. He asks her to think about it.

Alf is now giving his speech to Hunter’s camera, saying Hunter used to be a dropkick but Olivia’s worked her magic on him and they’re a lovely couple. Brody and Ziggy come in with him filling her in on the money from his family. Hunter calls Ziggy over to make a speech to Olivia. She stares at the camera for a few seconds then says she can’t and hurries onto the veranda. She starts to text Olivia saying she’s changed her mind. Hunter follows her out and Ziggy explains she had an argument with Olivia earlier and doesn’t feel like saying nice things about her at the moment. However, she declines to give any details. After Hunter has gone, she deletes the unsent text.

Mason is showing Jennifer some warm down moves. Jennifer convinces him to massage her shoulders. She assumes he has a girlfriend and he says he’s single. Jennifer turns and kisses him but Mason pulls away. Hunter enters and Jennifer, in a scared voice, asks Mason what he’s doing and hurries out. Mason tells Hunter he has no idea what it was about. Hunter goes after Jennifer.
