Extended Summary

Sarah is telling Tori about a pregnant patient who was brought in by her boyfriend after being attacked. Tori is shocked to see it’s Kat. Kat explains she hasn’t known about the pregnancy very long. Tori offers to phone Robbo but Kat thinks he’s at the station. Of course, Robbo is at the wrecker’s with Novak. Robbo asks him how he knows he’s Beckett Reid but Novak doesn’t answer. Robbo asks about the wrecker’s yard and the card he found, wondering if it’s Novak’s dumping ground. Novak smirks and says Robbo has no idea. Robbo roughly drags him to his feet and Novak says Robbo brought him there and showed him how everything works: It’s his dumping ground.

Coco is enthusing over Diana moving to Summer Bay while Ben quietly tells Maggie to shoot him. Ziggy comes home and her reaction is more in line with her parents’ than her sister’s. Maggie subtly tries to put Diana off, talking about property prices and moving, but Diana points out it’s worked out all right for them. Ziggy tries stories of snakes, spiders and sharks but Diana ends up going to visit the real estate agent in Yabbie Creek, with Coco going with her. Ben says it’s time to send out an SOS. Maggie phones her sister Kate who is happy to have Diana stay with her in London but is at a conference for the next month, by which time Diana could have moved. Maggie tells them how lonely Diana is and how she thought she’d get back with Richard, which is why she doesn’t want to make her feel unwelcome. A mention of Coco being the only one that likes having her there gives Ziggy an idea and she rushes out.

Kat fills Tori in on Novak trying to kill her a second time and notes she felt even more scared with the baby to protect. She is surprised that McCarthy or Murray hasn’t come but turns down Tori’s offer to call them, thinking they’re out looking for Novak. Meanwhile, Novak suggests to Robbo that they both walk away in different directions, saying Robbo has more to lose than him with Kat and the baby, the latter amusing him. As he talks, he rubs his bonds against the machinery behind him, cutting them. He suggests Beckett Reid is inside Robbo trying to get out. Robbo points the gun at him but is unable to pull the trigger and Novak notes he’s found a conscience. Novak then jumps Robbo, knocking the gun away. They scuffle violently, throwing each other onto car boots and into the metal shutters, before the fight takes them out of view into the office. A gunshot rings out.

Ziggy has asked Coco to meet her at the Diner. She starts talking about Coco’s close relationship with Diana. Coco twigs that Ziggy wants her to talk her out of moving and refuses. Later, they are back home with Diana on the phone to her accountant. Coco talks about how much she loves Diana’s house and asks if she could put the move off for a few weeks so she can stay there again. Diana notes Kate asked her to come and stay in a month, so Coco could come and stay with her until then. Maggie wonders about Coco’s schooling. Coco says Ziggy has offered to lend her her iPad so she can catch up and also to do her chores while she’s away…and after she’s come back, so she can catch up. Ziggy, Maggie and Ben all agree and Coco and Diana go to pack. Ben and Maggie ask Ziggy if that was her idea. Ziggy says they owe her an iPad. Ben says it’s worth it.

Kat is in pain and summons help. Tori and Sarah come and she confirms there’s no bleeding. They do a doppler scan which shows a strong heart beat. Tori tells Kat she’ll have to stay in overnight. Kat asks to listen to the heartbeat again. Meanwhile, Robbo is standing over Novak’s body. He smashes Novak’s phone and wipes the gun of fingerprints. He then loads Novak’s body into his truck, wrapped in a blanket, and drives out to the beach. He places the body in a boat and powers out to sea. Some time later, he burns his clothes.

Tori arrives home to find Justin, Brody, Mason and Raffy all waiting for her. Raffy was worried she wasn’t going to get to see her: They all know it’s her last night in the Bay. Justin checks it’s what she wants. Tori says she and Ash are leaving first thing in the morning, after she’s checked on Kat at the hospital, although she doesn’t give details of Kat’s condition. She adds that she and Ash have decided not to tell Kat they’re going. Meanwhile, Robbo arrives at the hospital and phones McCarthy, telling him Kat’s there and he found her at the wrecker’s yard, and that he’ll tell him the rest in the morning. He goes into Kat’s room and strokes her hair, waking her. She tells him to go home and get some rest.

Next morning, Coco and Diana are saying their goodbyes at the farm. When Diana’s out of earshot, Ziggy thanks Coco, while Maggie says to call her if her issues resurface. Ben and Maggie hug Coco goodbye and Maggie also hugs Diana. Ben and Diana shake hands awkwardly and he promises to get a proper job. Diana says he’s already doing a good job looking after the girls…but corrects him when he tries to call her Di. Meanwhile, Robbo is giving a statement to McCarthy, saying that Novak took the gun with him when he took off. He claims that after getting Kat to hospital, he fell apart on realising how close he came to losing her and took some time to pull himself together and call McCarthy.

Tori goes to Kat’s hospital room, which now has a police guard that turned up while Kat was asleep. Tori assures her she hasn’t told anyone about the pregnancy and prepares to give her a scan as promised. Her face falls when she sees the image and doesn’t change when she assures a worried Kat the baby’s perfectly healthy. She asks how far gone Kat is. Kat notes she’s irregular but it must be seven or eight weeks. Tori says there’s no way it’s an eight-week-old foetus: It’s more like fifteen, meaning Robbo isn’t the father. Ash is.
