Extended Summary

Kirsty tells Jade about her masterplan – she’ll get pregnant for real and everything will be alright. Jade is furious, and later starts to buckle under the pressure of Kirsty’s lie, but still doesn’t tell Rhys and Beth when they enquire as to what is worrying her. In the meantime, Kirsty decides to follow through the masterplan, taking the opportunity to step into the shower with Kane when he gets back from work. Kane’s later comments that things couldn;t be more perfect once again puts paid to any chance she has of admitting that there isn’t a baby at all. Kane’s got more to worry about though, as Alf and Scott see his scars at work. In a panic, he calls Kirsty, who runs out of school to return home for him. She encourages him to talk to Alf and Scott – or at least to return to work.

Scott is wising up to Dani’s self-absorbed side as she whinges about not wanting to see Hayley because she doesn’t want to lie. He points it out to her when she gets mad at him for telling her of Kane’s scars, accusing him of trying to make her feel sympathy for Kane.

The tension between Rhys and Matilda worsens as he sent her to her room for bad-mouthing the family. However, a truce of sorts is drawn as Tilly apologised and Rhys suggests they spend a bit of time getting to know one another.

Leah is having major baby issues, and admits to Jesse that she keeps thinking it’s their baby. Colleen’s thoughtless chatter serves to worsen her fears, and she admits to a furious Jesse that she can’t go through with the surrogacy.
