Extended Summary

Joel is convinced that he will not be able to return to normal police duty because of his leg. He snapped at Judith and she told Fisher that their relationship was hopeless. Fisher told her that he thought that they looked happy together and that maybe that was worth fighting for. Judith agreed and went back to the hospital to talk to Joel. She didn’t get a chance to talk to him because Natalie arrived (with baby Connor).
Alf confronted Vinnie about the photo of Gavin. He told Vinnie that they only reason that he got paid heaps for the photo was because Gavin died. Leah was upset with him too and returned a pair of earrings he bought her with the money. She thought that it would be a good idea if Vinnie did not go to the funeral. Leah told Shauna that it was Vinnie who took the photo and when Shauna saw Vinnie she said “you were supposed to be helping Gavin…. you disgust me, Vinnie”.

Sally saw Luke and told him what she thought of him. Amongst other things, she said that she couldn’t believe that she let herself get conned so soon after Kieran. She didn’t give him a chance to explain that he didn’t get any of her telephone messages etc. Now she is regretting what she said.

Joel asked Natalie what she was doing there and she said that she heard that he was in hospital and thought she should come up and see if he is alright. She left Connor in the room with Joel while she went out for a while and Joel warmed to him and started talking and playing with him – Gypsy saw and was really pleased that her dad liked the baby.
