Extended Summary

Adam bumps into Danny at the caravan park and tells him the bunyip was seen again last night. He goes to the mobile home but Lance tells him they’re having a business meeting and it’s about to hit the fan. On Saturday Morning Live, Lance tells Dano that Image didn’t write or sing Living Without Your Love. Jono has Nina on the couch, who says the point of Image was to prove how effective a promotional campaign could be; the effectiveness reflected by how below average the group really is! It’s not talent but promotion that makes a pop group a success. Jono says he guesses Nina will soon be bringing out a record! Martin has a go at Lance and Marilyn runs off in tears. Stacey tells Lance he could have been set up for life if he’d just stuck with it for a little while longer.

At Morag’s house, Marilyn is in tears and recounting her humiliation, much to Morag’s annoyance. Danny arrives to drop off some notes and Morag is impressed by his efficiency. She calls Marilyn to make a cup of tea but Marilyn has a breakdown over the vacuum cleaner not working.

At the Diner, Ailsa gets a phone call from Celia at the airport and says she’ll send Alf to collect her.

At the flat, Stacey tells Andrew that Nina is refusing to speak to her. Andrew is packing for his job in the city. Stacey is concerned about him abandoning his counselling as she doesn’t want lovelorn teenagers calling her.

Danny thanks Morag for inviting him to lunch and Morag thanks him for fixing the vacuum cleaner. Danny says he picked things up from his dad who was a handyman. Morag is sorry to hear he is dead. Danny says he was sent away when he was 14 and Morag assumes he means in the army. She asks where he was killed but Danny defensively says he’d rather not talk about it.

Alf returns to the Diner with Celia who is sporting a glamorous new look and is glad to be back. She was shocked to hear about Tom but says if the Lord beckons one must follow. Alf says Tom hasn’t passed away yet! Celia sits down to tell Alf and Ailsa about London.

Stacey finishes a phone call with Nina who is on her way to the Bay and tries to call Lance to warn him. Andrew tells Stacey not to be too hard on Lance, confessing he arranged the interview and then making a run for it! Stacey tells Martin on the phone that Nina is on her way.

Lance and Martin fight over a suitcase to escape town. Martin is wearing a hat and sunglasses so people doesn’t recognize him. Nina arrives and Martin tells her that what she said really hurt. Lance tells Nina that he’s not sorry but Nina is fine. She says she should be thanking him because her phone has been ringing with job offers all day and she’s taking up a position in LA! She hands Lance his final cheque and tells him not to change.

Danny tells Morag that the caravan park is cheap but Morag can’t think of much worse. Marilyn comes off the phone and says Lance feels so guilty he wants to split the cheque between her and Martin. She doesn’t want to feel compelled to go out with him though. Celia arrives and Marilyn tells her how pretty and Parisian she looks. Celia introduces herself to Danny as Morag’s younger sister.

Stacey and Andrew are hamming up their goodbye; they will never see each other again until next week! Andrew checks there are no hard feelings about Lance. He leaves, knocks on the door and says goodbye twice more, and then on the third knock Stacey tells him he may as well just stay… but it’s Nina this time and there’s no way she’s staying. This is the beak she’s been waiting for, and she’s got a deal for Stacey.

Celia is boring Morag and Danny by talking about Paris but the jet lag catches up with her and she falls asleep mid-sentence! Danny gets up to leave but Morag asks him to consider moving in, as Celia talks in her sleep about French fashion designers.

Back in his caravan, Danny talks to a photo of his father, saying Morag fell for it and was practically begging him to move in. He’s going to live with the judge. It will make it a lot easier… they’ve got her.
