Things (not storylines) that haven't aged well

I don’t think anyone ever used a vinyl record in the 1988-91 episodes now you bring this up it was always cassettes

I can think of an exception but I'm not certain whether it was in 1991 or 1992. Sally had a hippy themed birthday party and they dug out an old turntable and 60's records for that.

1991, vinyl was well out of favour by then as cassettes were dominating sales and CDs were starting to get into the mainstream

For sure. The turntable and old records being taken out of storage was treated as a blast from the past. I think we can assume that the old pink turntable was Pippa's.

Most likely. Her being "With it" is talked about with in the first couple seasons.

I.e. before DL took over the role and Pippa's characterisation transformed into an out of touch, curtain-gowned, laundry-folding mother hen ??

Imagine if they'd bought Zac Burgess back to stir up a hornet's nest in the mid 90s....

Zac walks in "where's my gorgeous girl then eh?"

(Tent-dressed Pippa comes into the lounge room whilst folding clothes, Debra Lawrence clearly doesn't have a clue who this stranger is in her house). Zac looks disappointed with what he sees...

"(Arms at sides, robotic voice) Zac?!?!? Listen Mate, you can get out of this house RIGHT NOW, thank you very much! Shannon, could you kindly escort Mr Burgess out of the premises?!"

Michael appears. "Go on, on your bike sunshine! Pip's told me all I need to know about you!"

Zac: don't worry, I've already reached the diner!

Myself and my other half were looking at a local picture last week trying to age it.  We guessed it was from the mid 80s.  The cars in the photo were from the but back then people wouldn't have been buying brand new cars.

Another fax incident is Steven getting a fax about work during his 1997 stint.

Sang so meaningfully as she falls off her bike

Now that was practically perfect in every way.

Tbf, Fax machines were still heavily used in that time period though Digital faxing came in at that time period.

We were still using faxes a lot in work in the late 90s, though email quickly took over once it started to take a foothold. I think faxes continued to be a thing into the noughties in legal and medical circles. The fax machines in the Ross and Stewart households seem to have been quietly retired after this. Or more likely in the case of Rosses, sold off during another yet round of financial belt-tightening.
