Cal Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 From Rte.ie A strong earthquake has hit New Zealand. The Japan Meteorological Agency said it had an estimated magnitue of 7.4 on the Richter Scale. There was no immediate word on whether any damage has been caused. An earthquake of similar magnitude has also hit the Pacific island of Guam, but there are no reports of any damage. Anybody feel it?

John Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 News reports here are quoting it as 350km off the west coast of the South Island. Too far off shore to be felt.
